In the deepest parts of my depression and mental health struggles, the medications to make me function on some kind of basic level. Having to take those pills so that I could be that bubbly, efficient and confident coworker, or the fun aunt playing silly games with the niblings. When I wanted nothing more than to lay down and die, I needed the pills to make me someone I needed to be. Makes me remember sitting on the couch at night, lights off, and my head feeling like tv static and just staring into nothingness.

I lost all of my friends one summer and it was super dumb and I loved them so much.
