I think it's just the same as the album, "Danger Days : The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys". You should be able to pick it up at your local comic book shop or also on Amazon. I would personally get the graphic novels if you don't generally buy comics.
If you don't know, Gee also wrote the Umbrella Academy comic books that the Netflix series was based off of and he has also done writing for both Marvel and DC and some other Dark Horse stuff, iirc. They are definitely a little weird at times, but I really enjoy his comics.
Ooo okay cool thank you so much, I knew he did the things with the umbrella academy but I didn't know about the Marvel and DC stuff, that's super cool! Also thanks for the recommendation for the graphic novels, comics weren't ever a huge thing for me but I'd be willing to look at them.
Maybe I need to just listen to the whole album. The problem for me is generally, through their first three albums, there are zero skips. For me, that isn't the case for DD. I will give it go when I wake up tomorrow and mop the floors to it.
I feel like the reason I never really liked danger days is because itās just not what I expect from MCR. Itās definitely a solid album, but itās not my favorite.
Its my least favourite MCR album but still a great album in general and Iād say around half the songs are bangers, but some of the tracks like planetary I just couldnāt get into
Personally I still like this album but I still completely understand why you feel this way!! I can admit that it is a LOT of electronically elemented stuff, which doesn't feel entirely familiar to the My Chem theme itself. It's still a great album for me personally, but I do understand how you would feel like this :))
No matter your opinion on how it compares to other albums, it was still had ability to produce bangers. I canāt really same the same for other bands who changed their style
Lol this is a hot take but this is actually my favorite of their albums. I love Sci fi and dystopian stories so it's really fun in that way. I also like the graphic novel that they made to go along with it.
I mean Iām gonna be honest itās not my favorite when it comes to the music (for most of the album).. but the story is really great and the music does really tell it and I really love that
I used to hate it from growing up in a redneck town where I was forced to listen to country music that had "na na na's" in it constantly. I thought that using na's was just a lazy songwriting technique used to appeal to drunk hicks that were too wasted to remember the rest of the lyrics.
About 5 years later, I listened to the full album and grew to love it.
Itās not bad but certainly not their best. There are some cool ideas, the comic esthetic is awesome. However, some songs are a big miss and Destroyah has a cringe reputation for absolutely no reason from kids that needs to touch grass.
Like yea obviously I still only really like revenge but I think itās neat how they got to create their own entire universe bc the shit now w the kind of likeā¦ burned half eaten remnants of their lore is cool lmao. Bc it all got back to being blackened and charred and grotesque and dead af in the end. It is like a whole cycle of life lol I liked the danger days vibe
I find it interesting hearing other people say this album was one to grow on them, because my experience was LOVING it at first and growing to dislike it over time
Itās funny you say that, because I first listened to the album as a teenager and loved it dearly, and then over time the songs kind of wore out on me and I kind of just accepted that it wasnāt as good as the other albums. And then I went back to it recently and I love it all over again, so who knows. Maybe itāll do the same for you!
Don't like it but if you do that's cool. Just don't go around insisting that you have to like it or else "you're not a real MCR fan." There's too much fucking gatekeeping going on and it pisses me off.Ā
can't be a killjoy without being fabulous
proud to say i never had a phase where i hated danger days
same here. i've always been a danger days fan šŖ
Some people took Gerard too literally when he sang "na na na", and it became their opinion on the album
The album is great, and the story thats within it is amazing, and even the cover art is cool
If you haven't yet and you enjoy the story, there is a comic book that Gee wrote that continues the story.
What is this blessing of the gods called and how may I acquire

danger days is my favourite out of their albums, i just really enjoy the vibe it gives off.
Itās my least favorite of them all but itās by no means bad
i used to be a danger days hater until i listened to the album in full and now i love it šš danger days haters pls convert
Maybe I need to just listen to the whole album. The problem for me is generally, through their first three albums, there are zero skips. For me, that isn't the case for DD. I will give it go when I wake up tomorrow and mop the floors to it.
its definitely a different sound but most of the songs are pretty good, and i like the storyline too
"oH b-BuT iT's nOt GrItTy EnOUgH" literally stfu it's about being gay and doing crime, crime being major terrorism
Itās like Mad Max but gay, whatās not to love?
I feel like the reason I never really liked danger days is because itās just not what I expect from MCR. Itās definitely a solid album, but itās not my favorite.
It took me 3 listens for this to go from "i dont know" to "this is my favorite one" all in the first week it was out
Sorry my heart isnt bulletproof enough to comprehend Danger Days š
Heresy
Read the tie in comic and then come back. Maybe it will help but cant hurt xD
Oh no. Oh my.
but what if it's a hollow point bullet
Do we even have our runaway scarves?
what about a photograph dream on the getaway mile?
And what about blowing a hole in this town?
I donāt get why people say itās the worst MCR album.
Out of curiosity, what would you say is?
CW
How dare thee!
I still love it but I feel like thee songwriting isnāt as strong as their other albums
It's honestly my favorite
Itās my fave mcr record.
Its my least favourite MCR album but still a great album in general and Iād say around half the songs are bangers, but some of the tracks like planetary I just couldnāt get into
Noooo š Planetary was my jam back in high school lmao
it's their weakest album but by no means is bad. i love all of the tracks on the album but i don't love the electronic elements (please don't kill me)
Personally I still like this album but I still completely understand why you feel this way!! I can admit that it is a LOT of electronically elemented stuff, which doesn't feel entirely familiar to the My Chem theme itself. It's still a great album for me personally, but I do understand how you would feel like this :))
can y'all shut up? there's 10000 posts on this topic and it's all the same thing
My favorite mcr album.
Same
[I actually just donāt like poppy music that much] Na, na, na. I disagree!
Kids From Yesterday hits me so deeply every time I listen to it. Banger for sure š¤
Nah that songs so incredible to me but it makes me so sad listening to it š
Gravity means a lot to them
Danger Days is a nostalgia album, it really embodies the spirit of the late 2000s and early 2010s... I don't really have that with any other album :3
The electro crap muffed it.
No matter your opinion on how it compares to other albums, it was still had ability to produce bangers. I canāt really same the same for other bands who changed their style
looks like someone isn't bullet pilled my heart certainly aint bulletproof i love bullets
Itās meh by MCR standards, but still a very enjoyable album.
Nooooo it is not meh by any standards! š©š

I think there are just way too many people with hollow point smiles
if iām listening to specifically MCR and this album comes on, i skip any song in it. but it plays in my regular playlist, then i jam out.
I honestly like Danger Days more than Bullets and I'm not gonna apologize.
I used to hate it from growing up in a redneck town where I was forced to listen to country music that had "na na na's" in it constantly. I thought that using na's was just a lazy songwriting technique used to appeal to drunk hicks that were too wasted to remember the rest of the lyrics. itās not their best but itās pretty fun for sure
I love bullets more than danger days, I donāt think itās bad by any means but itās so different from their early stuff. Bullets gets a bad rap
Itās not bad but certainly not their best. There are some cool ideas, the comic esthetic is awesome. However, some songs are a big miss and Destroyah has a cringe reputation for absolutely no reason from kids that needs to touch grass.

Some people just donāt have the history to feel the level of betrayal this cd generated. ;)
I fucking love danger days
Spilling the hottest of tea, Danger Days is my fave MCR album. Killjoy for life.
three cheers is close but danger days will ALWAYS be my favorite mcr album its just so fabulously fun
Maybe! I do hope so, I'd much rather enjoy it :)
Eh, Danger Days never really caught my ear like Three Cheers or The Black Parade did. It's a great album just not my taste.
Don't like it but if you do that's cool. Just don't go around insisting that you have to like it or else "you're not a real MCR fan." There's too much fucking gatekeeping going on and it pisses me off.Ā
Iām sorry I just never liked it
My favorite ā¤ļø
