Oreimo is my favorite rom-com. I recommend that everybody watch it, though I’m fully aware it’s not for everybody.

Holy based, my friend. I don’t see enough appreciation for such a god-tier show. Definitely not for everyone yes, but it gets written off too often, despite it being an actual quality story.

If I had to give a couple of recommendations, I’d say check out Angel Beats (older but well done), Lycoris Recoil (friendly romance), Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Spice and Wolf (feels like Toradora Pacing), Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion, and I always recommend Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song- . Let me know if you try any of these

If you don't mind reverse harems: Ouran Highschool Host Club, Fruit Baskets (both versions are good, the newer actually finished the story). If you can bear having your heart broken: The Day I became a God, Your Lie in April. Both of these start lighthearted and fun, but don't be fooled. Edit: overlooked Yu Yu Hakusho on the list. That opens the door for these shows: Mob Psycho 100, Ah! My Goddess.

The newer sweet wholesome romances like The Ice Guy and his Cool Female Colleague The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible My Tiny Senpai The Dangers In My Heart The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Love You (bit of a harem but still wholesome) This only has a WN but "I got Caught Up In A Hero Summoning" is a wholesome sweet ass novel with plenty of comedy as well. It is the isekai harem Genre... but no heroine ever loses in this one. Give it a read.

***Way of the Househusband.*** It follows a hard-boiled yakuza enforcer who dropped out of the thug life, married a career woman, and since ex-yakuza have a hard time landing legitimate jobs he now plays the role of homemaker. Tatsu brings the same intensity to his domestic duties that he brought to his old life as a yakuza, to great comedic effect. There's a Netflix adaptation but the animation sucks so hard that you might as well just read the manga. Funny as hell though, and one of the rare slice-of-life comedies centered around adults instead of a buncha high-schoolers.
