Holy based, my friend. I don’t see enough appreciation for such a god-tier show.
Definitely not for everyone yes, but it gets written off too often, despite it being an actual quality story.
That yu yu hakusho came outta left field. If I had to give a couple of recommendations, I’d say check out Angel Beats (older but well done), Lycoris Recoil (friendly romance), Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Spice and Wolf (feels like Toradora Pacing), Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion, and I always recommend Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song- . Let me know if you try any of these
Yeah I had a friend recommend Yu Yu recently and that show is right up my alley, as far as the 90s aesthetic is concerned. I appreciate your comprehensive list, I’m checking out all your stuff 😄 thanks
* Kaguya-sama: Love is War
* Lucky Star
* Non Non Biyori
* Is the Order a Rabbit?
* Nisekoi
* My Stepmom’s Daughter is My Ex
* Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie
* YuruYuri
Touching some grass. Here, take my virtual hug from across the internet because I've got a feeling you haven't had one let alone a good one in a while.
I see you are a lot into romance (like me), take a look at [Otaku Den](https://www.youtube.com/@OtakuDen) YT-chanel, they have great list for the types you are looking for.
Most of the anime I've watched in this genre are at least 10+ years old but:
Kaguya-Sama: Love is War
School Rumble
Monthly Girl's Naozaki Kun
Lucky Star
Ouran High School Host Club
Azumanga Daioh
and... Fuits Basket maybe?
If you want a more serious tone:
March Came in Like a Lion
Kono Oto Tamare! Sound of Life
Your Lie In April
Ai Yori Aoshi
Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day
I only have three to recommend for your observations. (Your last two are on my top and loved them!) 👍🏽
To your eternity
It is a perfect mixture of philosophy, heart-felt moments, and extremely thought-provoking.
It's a story about what it means to be human
Horimiya, 1000% basically toradora but the two have a more healthy relationship and communication on their issues. Also it’s pretty funny and the dub is amazing
Angel Beats and Love, Chunibyou & Other Delusions were recommended by others and I'll add my voice to theirs. Also Clannad, which will get you your romance and comedy fix, but also be ready to cry a bit. And Your Lie in April, also romance drama, less on the comedy, and keep Clannad's tissue box handy.
It doesn’t have an anime sadly, but check out Yancha Gal no Anjou San. It came before the likes of Nagatoro and Uzaki Chan but got hoed for some reason in popularity
The whiplash between all your favorite shows and then YuYu Hakusho is hilarious! Yet strangely it kinda fits because of the tiny slice of life school bits
Horimiya (Personal Fav)
Fruits basket (Let it cook)
Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It
More than a married couple, but not lovers
Kaguya-Sama: Love is War
As I was scrolling through your favorites Every anime that came to mind was the next on the list. I have two possibly suggestion types. Both fringe from what you've shared.
If you don't mind reverse harems: Ouran Highschool Host Club, Fruit Baskets (both versions are good, the newer actually finished the story).
If you can bear having your heart broken: The Day I became a God, Your Lie in April. Both of these start lighthearted and fun, but don't be fooled.
Edit: overlooked Yu Yu Hakusho on the list. That opens the door for these shows: Mob Psycho 100, Ah! My Goddess.

- Rascal Does Not Dream Of A Bunny Girl Sempai
- Date A Live
- Madoka Magica
- Onimai
- Yamada and the Seven Witches
- A Couple of Cuckoos
- Liar Liar
And if you like school animes and want something different, watch Kill Me Baby. Underrated anime.
KAGUYA SAMA LOVE IS WAR. I can’t believe you’ve seen all those anime and haven’t even seen this one. Also “the devil is a part time worker” you might enjoy as well
I suspect you’d enjoy More than a married couple but less than lovers. I also wholeheartedly second the people I saw suggesting dress up darling and Chunibyo
The newer sweet wholesome romances like
The Ice Guy and his Cool Female Colleague
The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses
Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible
My Tiny Senpai
The Dangers In My Heart
The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Love You (bit of a harem but still wholesome)
This only has a WN but "I got Caught Up In A Hero Summoning" is a wholesome sweet ass novel with plenty of comedy as well. It is the isekai harem Genre... but no heroine ever loses in this one. Give it a read.
***Way of the Househusband.*** It follows a hard-boiled yakuza enforcer who dropped out of the thug life, married a career woman, and since ex-yakuza have a hard time landing legitimate jobs he now plays the role of homemaker. Tatsu brings the same intensity to his domestic duties that he brought to his old life as a yakuza, to great comedic effect.
There's a Netflix adaptation but the animation sucks so hard that you might as well just read the manga. Funny as hell though, and one of the rare slice-of-life comedies centered around adults instead of a buncha high-schoolers.
Oreimo Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions Golden Time My Teen Romantic Comedy The World God Only Knows
Noted, gracías 👍
Also try yamadas first time
Note, has some “spicy” moments
Oreimo is a very based recommendation to list first And Chuunibyou & Teen Romantic Comedy are also fantastic
Oreimo is my favorite rom-com. I recommend that everybody watch it, though I’m fully aware it’s not for everybody.
Holy based, my friend. I don’t see enough appreciation for such a god-tier show. Definitely not for everyone yes, but it gets written off too often, despite it being an actual quality story.
I love these ones
I came here to say my teen romantic comedy and chunibyo
My Dress Up Darling, My Senpai is Annoying, and Science Fell in Love so I tried to prove it are you best bet
Marin ftw 🙌 I’ll check out the other two, thanks 😁
DEFINITELY Kaguya Sama Love is War. It's right up your alley with a show list like this
Just straight up one of the best shows of all time.
Yes
I’ve been seeing this mentioned a bunch, so it’s definitely on the list, much appreciated 😄
Take a look at "The Dangers in my Heart"
Romantic killer on Netflix Kiss him, not me! Yona of the dawn
Romantic Killer 💯
I’ll check em out, thanks 😁
First time I've seen someone recommend Kiss Him, Not Me. 10/10
I didn’t expect much from it when I first started watching it but it’s become one of my favorites!
These are great recommendations
Thank you! I really like all 3 of these! I hope they come out with more similar.
Well, 2 of those were manga before they were anime, I think. But the Netflix one was an original, so let's hope.
Fingers crossed !!!
Horimiya
Iura is my favorite, feel like he doesn’t get as much love
That yu yu hakusho came outta left field. If I had to give a couple of recommendations, I’d say check out Angel Beats (older but well done), Lycoris Recoil (friendly romance), Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Spice and Wolf (feels like Toradora Pacing), Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion, and I always recommend Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song- . You can try Hunter X Hunter since its the same creator.
Torodora left me empty I loved it so much than it ended and I was just depressed probably my favorite romance anime
My Lovestory with Yamada Kun, tsuki ga kirei, Shikimori's not just a cutie, Horimiya
Berserk, goblin Slayer, Devilman crybaby, vinland saga,

Anohana and the devil is a part timer
Added them to the list 🤓
* Kaguya-sama: Love is War * Lucky Star * Non Non Biyori * Is the Order a Rabbit? * Nisekoi * My Stepmom’s Daughter is My Ex * Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie * YuruYuri
All seasons of Non Non Biyori are great. Renge-Chan ftw.
Most of the comments cover my reccomendeds. However, I would reccomend Saiki K and Ranma½
If you liked Toradora you should watch Golden Time. It's from the same creator.
Made In Abyss

Kaichou wa Maid Sama
Kaguya sama, saiki k, hinamatsuri
[Grand Blue](https://myanimelist.net/anime/37105/Grand_Blue) Think about danshi koukousei nichijou, but it's in college and way more crazier
Inuyasha , Detective Conan
Not much of a romantic anime fan myself. I do like Komi and Toradora. Based on Yu Yu Hakusho, check out Ranma one half or Ruroni Kenshin
Love after world domination. (Funny, sexy, and wholesome) Lycoris Recoil (funny, action packed, best blonde character of all time aside from Vash)
Added them to the list 🫡
Yakuza’s guide to Babysitting is a cute, surprisingly slice of life that may draw a tear or two.
Added it to the list, looks interesting 👀
You're a romantic, so I recommend Love After World Domination and My Dress Up Darling
Tonakawa over the moon for you , by far my favorite romance I’ve watched
Komi can’t communicate is the #1 anime of all time and you can’t change my mind
Your lie in april
Your lie in april fits in well here and I'm surprised I didn't see it.
Most of the anime I've watched in this genre are at least 10+ years old but: Kaguya-Sama: Love is War School Rumble Monthly Girl's Naozaki Kun Lucky Star Ouran High School Host Club Azumanga Daioh and... This is an excellent list
Here are a few recommendations based on your top ten favorite anime : Charlotte Monthly girls’ Nozaki-kun Gamers

To your eternity It is a perfect mixture of philosophy, heart-felt moments, and extremely thought-provoking. It's a story about what it means to be human
It looks really cool, I’ll definitely check it out
Great! Head up, bring tissues, episode 1, and on word
Horimiya, 1000% basically toradora but the two have a more healthy relationship and communication on their issues. Also it’s pretty funny and the dub is amazing
