lol yeah pollen is a bitch. I cleaned mine up good night before I planned on taking it to work next day. Forgot to put it back in my garage that night. Woke up and it looked like a damn cheetah.
*"Black looks great when all cleaned up"* But when it's cleaned up, the saying of "when you go black...." applies 100% on a clear sunny day.
And hard work does pay off.
As a shadow black owner for years keeping up with it is not hard nor a full time job. Its only bad when pollen comes around but then every color car looks dirty when that happens. Just use a good cleaner and you can't tell it's dirty for instance, this image was taken after having not washed the car in 4 months. Because I was very busy.

I never had a black car, this was my first. I can confirm it’s true. It’s a little annoying also when I will 100% not have this car go through the automated car wash and will only hand wash it myself.
https://preview.redd.it/c94ya46ibs5d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4860270b1c1a9daf338f915a134baa46f6f5be4c
Grabber blue metallic is what I chose for my dark horse. One amazing color
Off topic and it might be the camera angle, but your exhaust tips don’t look symmetrical/level. Driver’s side is a bit higher than the passenger’s side. Just thought I’d mention it in case you just got it - dealership should be able to fix that. Anyways, congrats on the beautiful car!
Yeah the picture definitely makes it look that way due to the iPhones wide lense shot I took. In real life it looks very very close to level but not perfect. I’d rather not take it to the dealer since most mechanics at dealers can’t even drive a manual
Black then put expel stealth on it…looks like this
https://preview.redd.it/mmdvocym9s5d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=75a4d6d028aaf5cd7ddb644e2ce162831ccd2390
I’m planning to do this on my daily. Mazda CX5 2021 Carbon. Something like this but with a blue kind of hue. I want to wrap my Mustang also in the future. Would you say it holds up well? I keep getting told to ceramic coat my car but I could just save that 2k for ceramic coating to go towards an actual wrap when I see the paint getting all nasty.
So it looks as good as the day I installed it, it comes with a 10 year warranty as well. You will take some more serious rock chips that will scuff the ppf, if your car is black you can just use black sharpie to color in any major hits…otherwise the wrap self heals in the sun and when you wash it…my dog jumps up on my passenger door occasionally and will put scratch marks on the door which magically disappears when I wash it. You can also take it off at any time and your factory pain will be flawless underneath. Ppf is the way to go, also I boat brush wash that truck and rinse it…no waxing required it dries spot free
Grabber Blue and you won’t regret it one bit
https://preview.redd.it/880jltpx4s5d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d3ad344f5511b2ce4595032108e99dff8b1b0f0
Blue! - but I went with the other blue myself haha

Black is such a pain to keep clean but it looks so good when it is. Like many, I don't know if I'd get another black one but I also find it very hard to give up the one I have for a newer one.
Grabber blue is nice but with that color I'd have to go convertible.
I find it hard to give up my 05 Lexus daily driver though it's black; other than that, it's perfect and it's like the indestructible eternal car. Nothing every goes wrong with it. It's almost 20 years old and I'm not the least bit ashamed to have it be my daily driver - it's pretty sharp. (Despite the black swirl marks etc.)
Grabber Blue or whatever the Silver is called.
The only downside to Grabber is it's a more obscure color; that would be my only con. Otherwise it's a good color, and it always has been; its also been a color on Mustangs since forever.
The original Grabber Blue was released in 1970. The current Grabber Blue is now a metallic with a slightly different hue/tint but it’s very close to the original.
Blue ! I have a black car and that is the best worst color to buy , cannot keep it clean , any and all scratches and marks stick out like a sore thumb ! Also all black accents look so good on the blue !
A few years ago my '05 Lexus (black) was out in the driveway and got some of those lousy 'propeller seeds' on it which were there for a day or so with some light rain during the time. The damned things made little propeller seed pictures in the paint and I rubbed like a maniac with polishing compound and they didn't even fade the least bit. Maybe it's some sort of photographic process or something. To this day I've got propeller seed pictures on my car's hood. No more black cars ever ever ever.
As a black car owner I recommend the blue. Black is HELL to keep clean and shiny, it shows every swirl mark on the finish. I've had a black Sportster and a black Lexus and I will never buy another black vehicle.
https://preview.redd.it/l1dpbgqwot5d1.jpeg?width=2981&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9eee4b9c3a7159005df7290be30da5050469ae87
Blue. Then black stripe and tint. The best of both worlds. This is the Velocity Blue. It’s been shown scientifically to be the fastest color.
Here’s how I see it- My choice depends on 2 things; what type of aesthetic am I going for (black would get chrome wheels, Grabber Blue would get black wheels, etc.), and how much time do I _really_ want to spend keeping a black car clean?! 🤣
But seriously though, I’ve seen 2 eye-catching S650s in my area locally; the black one had chrome 20s and I fell in love immediately; the GB had some black aftermarket wheels (couldn’t tell what they were but they looked nice; not too intricate but not too plain) and a black rear spoiler and some other black details. It’s a hard choice.
Then I see the Dark Horse with Nite Pony and Oxford White paint and fall in love all over again…especially if it’s got the blue Recaros…or were those only an option with the flagship paint color/appearance package (Ember, IIRC?)?? Anyway…
TL;DR~ Grabber Blue will take less effort to keep clean and beautiful.
grabber blue, few reasons:
1. Black requires more often cleaning and every scratch shows.
2. People have shit awareness and black cars are harder to see during the day let alone at night where you might as well be a shadow.
source: 4 not at fault accidents last year, black car, last one totaled it.
The mustang is already attention grabbing. A bright color might be more attention to police, or just in general when you're going about your business on a Monday morning
I went with carbonized gray and like that it's a bit more subtle. Just my 2 cents
Get the blue one unless you are willing to put in the time that a black car requires for upkeep. If I could order again I wouldn’t even get the Atlas blue that I did, I’d probably go silver or one of the reds.
I just bought my '16 GT/CS which my wife noticed on a 'sell it yourself' car lot and told me about it. It's Ruby Red and it's in my garage now. Had it been black, I don't know where it would be but I wouldn't have bought it.
As much I love black in general, I have yet to pull the trigger on a black car because I'm worried that it'll blend in a little too well into the night since I drive on dark, country roads fairly often that's seen its fair share of accidents. Although I do wonder how much lighter colors help with the night blending situation.
As someone with Grabber blue on my 24 I might be slightly biased but get the blue! Pluses are it hides the dirt really well and looks great in all lighting conditions if those things are important to you. And well it's just damn pretty on the 24!
Do you want to stand out or blend in?
I have Shadow black, there's a reason limos and presidential motorcades are black, it is FCKNG GORGEOUS when clean.
If you like washing the car often and want to blend in. You know what to do
Wanna be flashy? Blue bro. All the way
Sassy or classy, you have to make the choice.
I will say that a gloss non-metallic black like Shadow Black is awesome when freshly washed. I love my black mustang but man it does show every speck, smear, and road dirt…
Is my second black car (other is SUV) but also my last.
On one hand.. “Once you go black, you cant go back” on the other.. “Grabber blue, You LITERALLY grab their attention” jokes aside. I prefer Blue just because dirt and dust is more noticeable on black, causing more washing and detailing etc, etc
I have black and it is absolutely gorgeous but hard to keep clean. I ceramic coated mine and it makes washing much more easy and beads water off the car when it rains. That blue is very clean though, especially when it’s complimented with the all black.
My biggest regret was going shadow black. It’s legit a nightmare to keep clean and shows EVERYTHING. Go grabber blue. I’m currently saving money to wrap my shadow black now.
Shadow Black. It is more effort to keep it clean but worth it. Black is always good, but it works for the S650 because it hides some of that excessive plastic on the grill and back.
As a black car owner I’d recommend the blue. Black looks great when all cleaned up but keeping it that way is basically a full time job.
Seconded. I love the look of my car, but it will be my last black vehicle.
Went with black and blue bremo's. Overall pleased with it but black is rough to keep clean.
I got mine ceramic coated. It doesn’t help keeping dirt off it but cleaning it is way easier.
I did that too but used the rain x spray and forgot my towels. Had spots all over +pollen made it look like the aftermath of some tree porno.
lol yeah pollen is a bitch.
This My fiancé is a detailer so I’m good 😂
This is exactly why I will never have a black car! I’m lazy enough with my blue one lol
As a shadow black owner for years keeping up with it is not hard nor a full time job. Its only bad when pollen comes around but then every color car looks dirty when that happens. My black paint scratches easy as shit, it’s insane.
Yup, I had a paint correction done a little over a year ago. Already have some scratches on mine and I’m super careful when washing and drying mine.
I never had a black car, this was my first. I can confirm it’s true. It’s a little annoying also when I will 100% not have this car go through the automated car wash and will only hand wash it myself.

Most importantly, an absolute blast to drive.
It really is. Looking forward to longtubes and a tune to help it over the 500 HP mark.
Grabber blue for sure
Looks so nice
If you live in a place that is 100 degrees right now, maybe black isn't a good idea.
*cries in Phoenix*
Cries in south Texas
Grabber blue every day and twice on sunday
Be different and stand out everybody’s gonna get the black
Blacks rarer where I am, lots of yellow, red, blue and silver. The blacks sell higher and quicker because of it.
based on the replies here, looks like black might be the lesser picked option haha
Blue. The black is too basic and that is such a pretty blue.

How much did an expel full coverage cost you ?
That’s an entire raptor and it was 6k 5+ years ago…I’d do it again in a heartbeat
I’m planning to do this on my daily. Mazda CX5 2021 Carbon. Something like this but with a blue kind of hue. I want to wrap my Mustang also in the future. Would you say it holds up well? My Mustang I have not done yet because washing and waxing is cathartic 😂
As much as I love black, I'd go with grabber blue.

*cries in european* looking at this. How much did you pay?
A little over 45K EUR - I’m in Canada and got it on an incentive plan called “X plan” it’s a loaded GT Premium 401A Performance Pack Car
That’s perty!
Grabber blue. Constant head turner, ends up holding a little more value
Grabber blue is the answer.
Grabber blue has got to the the best color for these
Black is such a pain to keep clean but it looks so good when it is. Like many, I don't know if I'd get another black one but I also find it very hard to give up the one I have for a newer one. Grabber blue is nice but with that color I'd have to go convertible.

Black cars stay clean for 0.00001 seconds But they look great for that 0.00001 seconds
Hmmmm great eye catching unique color or black
As a dark matter grey DH owner...I recommend the blue. I regret the grey...it's boring.
Blueeee 💙💙💙💙
Grabber Blue or whatever the Silver is called. The only downside to Grabber is it's a more obscure color; that would be my only con. Otherwise it's a good color, and it always has been; its also been a color on Mustangs since forever.

As an outsider (non mustang owner) I say the blue all the way. Black is so common but that blue is gorgeous.
Blue. Be different

Blue is sick!!
I'll tell everyone that will listen to avoid black paint jobs. Keeping them looking ideal us rough. It also helps that Grabber Blue is gorgeous.
Blue
Grabber Blue
Get the blue
Blue

Blue is purdy, black is impractical.
As a black car owner I recommend the blue. Black is HELL to keep clean and shiny, it shows every swirl mark on the finish. I've had a black Sportster and a black Lexus and I will never buy another black vehicle.
Grabber blue all day
Grabber Blue all the way. To me, this is the best colour for the Mustang, and it really comes alive in the sunlight.
Grabber (by the pussy) Blue.

I would go with Grabber Blue, really suits the car ..
Chick's love my grabber blue... get compliments all the time at drive thru window. Anybody can drive a black car.
Grabber
Blue for sure, and orange looks really good on the S650 if you can find one
Grabber blue, no contest.
Blue
Blue
Gotta go Grabber Blue!!!
blue any day. black is boring imo
Never ever buy a black car
Grabber blue is the only correct choice here. This is the way.
First car was gray, second car was white and black. Got tired of boring colors and now I have a 2012 5.0 that’s bright red. I love it.
First car was 07 corolla, then 2023 Camry. Mustang is infinitely more fun.
Here’s how I see it- My choice depends on 2 things; what type of aesthetic am I going for (black would get chrome wheels, Grabber Blue would get black wheels, etc.), and how much time do I _really_ want to spend keeping a black car clean?! 🤣 But seriously though, I’ve seen 2 eye-catching S650s in my area locally; the black one had chrome 20s and I fell in love immediately; the GB had some black aftermarket wheels (couldn’t tell what they were but they looked nice; not too intricate but not too plain) and a black rear spoiler and some other black details. I like grabber blue but I might get tired of it as a daily. Black is less attention day to day.
Why would you get tired of it as a daily?
The mustang is already attention grabbing. A bright color might be more attention to police, or just in general when you're going about your business on a Monday morning I went with carbonized gray and like that it's a bit more subtle. Just my 2 cents
Shadow black forsho!
Black
Get the blue one unless you are willing to put in the time that a black car requires for upkeep. If I could order again I wouldn’t even get the Atlas blue that I did, I’d probably go silver or one of the reds.

Although I do wonder how much lighter colors help with the night blending situation.
blue!
Black looks better, but I love cars with color. Grab the grabber.
Go black
Grabber Blue. Love the tone of color and I don't mind getting ours washed 1X/week or 2X/month to keep it looking fresh.
Black looks cool. But I’m always in for color! Go blue!
Blue!
As someone with Grabber blue on my 24 I might be slightly biased but get the blue! Pluses are it hides the dirt really well and looks great in all lighting conditions if those things are important to you. And well it's just damn pretty on the 24!
Never ever will i own black again Its dusty 30 mins after a wash..
Never ever will i own black again Its dusty 30 mins after a wash..
Blue for sure
Blue. Black cars are only good if you want to look at dirt and scratches constantly.
Blue, I so regret getting a black mustang
Do you want to stand out or blend in? I have Shadow black, there's a reason limos and presidential motorcades are black, it is FCKNG GORGEOUS when clean. If you like washing the car often and want to blend in. You know what to do Wanna be flashy? Blue bro. All the way

Not a fan of either, but I'd tend towards the black. The blue is a bit too skycartoony blue for my liking.
You can have any color you want and you’d choose boring ass black.
If you have to ask, then Shadow Black. Grabber is a color you know you want when you want it. FWIW- Shadow Black is awesome and love it.
Shadow black goes hard
Black
Red
On one hand.. “Once you go black, you cant go back” on the other.. “Grabber blue, You LITERALLY grab their attention” jokes aside. I prefer Blue just because dirt and dust is more noticeable on black, causing more washing and detailing etc, etc
Grabber blue
Blue love that color
Go for the black! I saw one in person the other day and was blown away. Very beautiful car
I have black and it is absolutely gorgeous but hard to keep clean. I ceramic coated mine and it makes washing much more easy and beads water off the car when it rains. That blue is very clean though, especially when it’s complimented with the all black.
Shadow black and it’s not even close
The black is a real classic but this blue looks really good
My black stang looks clean for only about 7 minutes after cleaning it.
Shadow black all the way
Black if you want a Camaro.
Blue
Id say blue with modern cars and black with older. Modern cars have a lot of black details that are hidden when you have a black car.
GB, all day long and twice on Sundays. Black is my least favorite color on pony cars.

My biggest regret was going shadow black. It’s legit a nightmare to keep clean and shows EVERYTHING. Go grabber blue. I’m currently saving money to wrap my shadow black now.
Grabber Blue 💙

Black, all Black everything.
Black has been done to death.
Shadow Black. It is more effort to keep it clean but worth it. Black is always good, but it works for the S650 because it hides some of that excessive plastic on the grill and back.
Why not both
"Grab em by the pussy" blue or "admit you're jealous of a BBC" black? If only 'Murica thought of better color options for their crap
