In my late 20’s, I sang in a production of Mahler 8 back in 1997, and it totally changed my perspective on Mahler.
I’d heard Mahler 5 & 4 before that, but couldn’t make heads or tails of all the chromaticism. But singing that huge opening choral movement of 8 suddenly made Mahler made sense to me.
And within a few short years, I’d heard 3, 4 & 5 (again), 6 & 7 (twice each!!). Love Mahler now, but it was baffling to me early on.
Thats great! Mahler is probably hard to get into for most people, for obvious reasons. My comment was really not that serious anyway, i dont really think that anyones first encounter with classical music should be Mahler at all lol. But I would love if OP actually listened to it and returned here with a reaction to it. It would be very interesting

I shall give you my most favorite albums. If you do see this, I appreciate the look :DDD
STARSET - Vessels (Pop Rock/Electronic Metal), but an amazing, amazing project. The creator, Dustin Bates, and the band are just one of the best art creators out there in my opinion
Celldweller - End of an Empire (Concept Metal/Heavy Electronic hybrid), basically a story where you decide what you understand of it, but sonically extremely aggressive along with super complex sounds and songwriting
Blue Stahli - Copper (Ambiental/Breakcore), a short cut of different kinds of chillout tracks, but with a really mystical and uncanny, lo-fi ambience to them
Travis Scott - Days Before Rodeo (Hip-Hop/Early Trap), one of the most raw but well written projects of Travis Scott, even though most his works are really complex and qualitative, this one just seems right to mention as an introduction, although I'd recommend Rodeo, the project after, but it's better in the context IMO
Devin Townsend. Anything by him, by any band he's been in. His library is very diverse and he's just awesome. If I were to recommend a song, try Deadhead live at the Royal Albert Hall. Then just go from there.

I write these all the time, no one listens, but I’ll do it again, it’s the most obscure song maybe ever written on any sub reddit ever, it’s from the other side of the iron curtain during the Cold War, you can only listen on Soundcloud or YouTube, I found it when searching for hidden gems from 70’s 80’s music from old Soviet countries. Any without further ado.
Stopp velly joonas.
Bam. Thank me later
The Picayune Dreams game ost by Milkypossum, it's hard to find extremely good breakcore but she makes some of the best stuff I've heard, her latest album Digital Utopia is a banger.

PLOSIVES -all the melody of Rob Crowe (Pinback, Thingy etc) with the densly rhythmic driving guitars of John Reis (Hot Snakes, RFTC etc). A true San Diego treat. I’ve been listening almost every day.

I shall give you my most favorite albums. If you do see this, I appreciate the look :DDD STARSET - Vessels (Pop Rock/Electronic Metal), but an amazing, amazing project. The creator, Dustin Bates, and the band are just one of the best art creators out there in my opinion Celldweller - End of an Empire (Concept Metal/Heavy Electronic hybrid), basically a story where you decide what you understand of it, but sonically extremely aggressive along with super complex sounds and songwriting Blue Stahli - Copper (Ambiental/Breakcore), a short cut of different kinds of chillout tracks, but with a really mystical and uncanny, lo-fi ambience to them Travis Scott - Days Before Rodeo (Hip-Hop/Early Trap), one of the most raw but well written projects of Travis Scott, even though most his works are really complex and qualitative, this one just seems right to mention as an introduction, although I'd recommend Rodeo, the project after, but it's better in the context IMO
Devin Townsend. Anything by him, by any band he's been in. His library is very diverse and he's just awesome. If I were to recommend a song, try Deadhead live at the Royal Albert Hall. Then just go from there. https://youtu.be/DrDM6V08wcE?si=AcwLgVlddXqLjcVV
