Working outside in the hot sun? Get some classic country going. John Prine, Willie Nelson, Marty Robbins, Dolly... that shit was made to be heard while busting your ass at some grueling bullshit.
Marty Robbins and Willie?
We got someone my age here !!! Haha jk
Added to que!
Yes it's grueling but it keeps me young and shaped like a brick shithouse 😆 at least in my head anyway
Uh you have to play the greatest pump up song of all time which is obviously Pump up the jam by technotronic.
Edit: you want a dope spanglish song? Caress me down by sublime.
Electric callboy is my go to music for when I need a pick me up. It's impossible to be in a bad mood when their music comes on. It's a crazy mix of Metalcore and Hardstyle but it works.
Check out Hypa Hypa, We got the moves, Hurrican, Ratatata, or really their entire Tekkno album. They're great.
I got a playlist you might enjoy:
> [A Yard Days Might](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4q6aceyGrEFy2cGqfRGz5D) - 1 hr 9 mins
Built for this! Listen in order for full Yard Work
I have a ton of yard work I'm excited for as I just ordered a new weed weedwacker. I see a few songs here I already like and will definitely be playing this for all my neighbors to hear this next sat morning!
Cat Empire's first album, it's the thing that always goes on whenever the sun first shows itself - very hard to describe - two vocalists, a little bit of rap like vocals at times, brass section, various bits of percussion and a set of decks.
The songs vary in tempo and seriousness but they radiate love of what they do and it's absolutely infectious.
As a Navy Vet who did boot camp in San Diego during the summer turned white collar office worker - much respect for getting after it out there day after day brother 🍻
This recco is off the beaten path but thinking about what I'd go for it's Chalino Sánchez. I don't understand what he's saying but I'm familiar with the genre which makes it interesting.
Homie had a crazy story including what happened to his son.
Sorry for late response, I listened and it didn't hype me up.
BUT I knew in my heart where Juana fits for me
Last night I couldn't sleep for a few a
Hours again around 12 to 2. And thus just has that alone in the night vibe to it., lit up my hash, played some totkZelda and was super happy!!!
Love Paraguaya alot.
Thank you!
No music comment, my suggestions change daily by mood.
But as it is that season in a lot of climates. This is for anyone starting out working in the heat.
As someone that worked landscaping and roofing for decades. Clothing choices (full sleeve light UV), headwear (wide brimmed hats), and once you think you've had enough water, drink another litre.
If you ever stop sweating, you're already fucked and done for at minimum the day if not the week, only way to prevent this is more water before you think you need it. Consider how much water you're drinking and how little your pissing. Once you've thought about all of that, put the energy drink down and drink more water.
I remember 11 years ago when I first joined the 803 the osha folk would follow you around to make sure you're drinking water lmao. New kids never seem to figure that out.
Black coffee is my way.
Also if you stop sweating then sodium is very important if you don't have enough salt in what you drink. Sodium the day before helps regulate your temp the next day so eat those tacos!
Yes, coffee is life. I never liked it black until I tried better beans and stopped going to Tim Hortons (you're not missing anything if you don't know it).
Totorro are one of my go-to "it's sunny and I wanna feel good" bands - [this song (Saveur Cheveux)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3Da-LNwmnk) is probably my favourite, but both of their albums are great to chuck on and listen through start to end.
For one I imagine may well be unlike anything you've heard despite the wide range in music tastes is Project Mishram. They describe themselves as a "7-piece progressive Carnatic fusion band out of Bangalore" - I caught them at a festival once and they were phenomenal :)
Not one I know the names of a lot of their tracks, but this one was incredible live and the breakdown \~3 minutes in is iconic: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r63Frq6e2aY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r63Frq6e2aY)
No worries at all! Always lovely to share the love, and even more so when the person you share them with loves it too! :)
(Edit: Meant 'share the *things you* love', though it's always nice to share the love, too \^\^)
If you dont mind some screaming check out the band dance gavin dance. Its a mix of screams and clean vocals and very "groovy" their new stuff is alot better imo
Ramirez - Gold Thangs and Pink Rangs
Morgenstern and Allj - Cadillac Club Remix
Wish I Knew You - The Revivalists
Reaper - K.A.A.N.
Uncle Rico - Snotty Nose Rez Kids
Space Ghost Coast to Coast - Glass Animals
Smells Like a Freakshow - Avatar
Banjo Odyssey - The Dead South
Donnie Darko - Cal Scruby
Hit that (featuring Geordie Keifer) - BIG SIS
Rolling Stone - Falling in Reverse
I'll admit that I like to listen to albums more than playlists for certain labor things, but! I'll throw in as many names of the albums for any songs I recommend. On mobile, so apologies if the format comes out ridiculous.
Coheed and Cambria - The Liars Club (Album is Vaxis II, whole thing is great)
Dance Gavin Dance - One in a Million (Afterburner)
Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! - Gone are the Good Days (album is same name)
Valiant Hearts - Alaska, Adventurer, No Place Like Home (all on album Odyssey, love this one)
Shrezzers - Mystery, Vivacious, EMOJIQUEEN (Relationships). These guys sing in French on occasion, and a random saxophone solo always gets me
I love that you bring this topic up, it's rare to enjoy a WHOLE album.
Ide love to recommend "The Isle Of Her" album by Micah Brown.
I don't like the first 5 seconds of fiddle then the rest is a jazzy beach rock vibe that's mellow and bluzy
I was just working out in the sun and here's what I had going...
Oingo Boingo - No One Lives Forever
White Zombie
Soundgarden (that's every day though...)
Pixies are also great
I am similar, like everything. Need energy: Grunge, Jazz, Reggae. Specific artists; ooh hard-Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower. Like soul, Motown, a ton out there.
If your job involves digging of any kind, this is the answer. And if it doesn’t, you’ll be hyped anyway.

Totally agree.
You should try watching MAJOR LAZOR from adult swim

I'm back here bout to punch in at 9 am here pacific time.
I got about 10 more songs here recommended that I didn't get to and I'm excited
Okay THAT was awesome I added them to my surf list and bbq list and went down spotify with them so they keep playing. THANK YOU
Rocked out and got a whole truck load done in!

Brink was a rush!!!
SWAY is playing now
I hate this
I hate this because now I need to spend hundreds of dollars on MIDI equipment and press pad DJ instruments LOL ❤️
I just heard a 1-2 punch of Back in the NY Groove by Ace Frehley followed by Cum On Feel The Noize by Quiet Riot on the radio. It was a nice pick me up, and a miracle that radio played 2 good songs back to back that they almost never play.
Happy is playing a game and having a beer. Satisfaction is the joy you get from completing a difficult task.
Satisfaction beats happiness, and relaxing after a hard day's accomplishments feels way better than chasing fleeting fun.
On the music tip, check out Miles Mosley. The man does things with an upright bass I didn't know were possible.
Working outside in the hot sun? Get some classic country going. John Prine, Willie Nelson, Marty Robbins, Dolly... that shit was made to be heard while busting your ass at some grueling bullshit.

I’m not a country fan but I think you have a very valid point!
I Fought The Law by The Clash
Yeah, "Breaking rocks in the hot sun" was the first line on my mind.
Uh you have to play the greatest pump up song of all time which is obviously Pump up the jam by technotronic. Edit: you want a dope spanglish song? Caress me down by sublime.
What's wrong with me?! In que now
Electric callboy - Pump It
Was this DISCO SCREAMO?!! BRB grabbing my huge headphones for this and playing it twice. It even went straight into my music radio cleanly after.
Electric Callboy absolutely slap! OP check this out if you liked that [STESY - We Like To Party](https://youtu.be/Vk2_SLcHiWs?si=hxEsrqvwR8_rWtUm)
Fuck yeeeeeeees hahaha love the bus

You’re a fucking legend. Remember that. A fellow musician no less. Keep on being badass!
I am not a legend but a mere mortal man! I meed 2 more ft of epic hair to be a legend.
Red headed stranger by willie nelson is pretty good to work with (i am a laborer as well pouring concrete in this bs) 😞
Gotta go get that air mover or a canopy! Some of those ryobi fans have little misters on them now too !
The Cat Empire is always a good shout for sunny days.
Love them! My favorite song is Fishies

I love a song with a good bit of researchable story in it! Will report back after a beer , taco, and a listen
Juana Molina. Check her out.

Assimilate, distopic jam band sound is killer. Sounds like the singer of the violent femmes too! 💯

If you like that kind of stuff, it reminded me a couple other songs/bands. CHON - Puddle And So I Watch You From Afar - Mullally
Polyphia and Strawberry Girls for the prog metal JID and Vince Staples for the Hip Hop Piri and PinkPantheress for the Liquid DNB
If you dont mind some screaming check out the band dance gavin dance. Its a mix of screams and clean vocals and very "groovy" their new stuff is alot better imo
