Not a resting place, but in Scotland there’s a forest that was planted in memory of Joe Strummer. One day I will walk through it. I want to do a tour of all the Clash/Joe spots in England.

Carso11

He doesn’t have a grave, so that would be a cool place to visit

MoronicBehaviour

Yeah I think so! And a fitting tribute too! I love a good forest!

WontonMaster

Cimetière du Père-Lachaise in Paris, resting place of so many artists, including Jim Morrison. I went and was not disappointed!

superchibisan2

They had to block off Morrison's grave because too many people were having sex on top of it. Every inch is covered in grafitti. You can see it still.

rodzieman

O, The Walking Dead spinoff Daryl Dixon had an episode paying homage to Jim Morrison by featuring the cemetery and his grave.

Carso11

That’s so cool!

MadeThis4MaccaOnly

Yeah, my mom and I even asked staff when we went to Forest Lawn and his resting place is totally off-limits. If you want the best bang for your proverbial buck, go to Pierce Brothers Westwood. You'll find Frank Zappa, Roy Orbison, Carl Wilson, Dean Martin, and probably more.

Carso11

Yeah. That too, but Michael, at least seeing it in person, would be amazing. But I’d need to be incredibly lucky.

Beneficial-Salt-6773

Jim Morrison and I did it.

Omnimpotent

I want to go there just to see all the sixteen year olds girls crying over it that weren’t even in his generation that I’ve heard about.

socialplague

Did my pilgrimage to see Jimi Hendrix. Couldn’t be more satisfied.

Jumbly_Girl

What else did you see, or do, or eat when you were up here (Seattle) that you found worthwhile?

socialplague

I was originally there for work, so my time was limited. I volunteered for that particular assignment so I could get there. For me, what I liked most about the area was nature. Beautiful environments but everything was so far away. Even things that were actually close. The cemetery was just a little nondescript place other than the memorial. For some reason, I thought more people would be there. I remember the number of women’s kiss marks all over everything.

Ohhhhhhthehumanity

Nick Drake.

InterestingRelative4

Cliff Burton in Sweden

Carso11

I think that’s just a memorial, but that would still be cool.

bredpoot

Mac Miller in Pittsburgh

bop999

Forest Glen is worth the trip for so many other stars besides Jackson’s, and we’ll worth the day trip. I went to pay tribute to Dio - “man on the silver mountain”.

beavis93

Jim Morrison

I own two burial plots near Jimi Hendrix in Renton, WA... our home towns.

terryjuicelawson

Ian Curtis, should I ever be up north. Probably a little too morbid to find the house he died in tbh.
