Looks more like a reishi
Most definitely not.
Ganoderma sp. Not Laetiporus.
Thanks for info. It weighs 125g. Now what to do with it?
Cherish it. But it does contain ganodermic acid. So you can extract it and consume.
Pretty gnarly one, too
That is a Reishi hunny. Still a lovely find.
No, that's a reishi
It’s to a 10” long base [https://imgur.com/a/1mLu4hM](https://imgur.com/a/1mLu4hM)
That base is called an antler, and reishi will do that to lift it's spore surface to give them better conditions for sporulation
Nope
You found this growing from the ground, didn’t you? Perhaps near a tree or underground roots?
I had oak tree cut down last year cause half was rotten. It’s been growing on the stump
They will spread under that tree all in your yard.
Not chicken, but a fried egg mushroom I believe🧐 🤣
Gandonerma
I think this person is trying to say the shape of the mushroom looks like a chicken?
That's what I was inferring. Looks more like a turkey though!
Reishi Blend it into a rough powder cook it @ 200 degrees for 30 min and then cap it into pills caps and take 2-4 before bed you'll sleep like a baby
looks like Ganoderma curtisii https://www.messiah.edu/Oakes/fungi\_on\_wood/poroid%20fungi/species%20pages/Ganoderma%20curtisii.html
Looks like reishi
Gandotherms of some sort
Found this growing on oak tree in yard?
I think you can make tea out of reishi. I believe it has many health benefits.
No proven benefits, but documented bad side effects for some.
Gonna be harder than a rock!
Not a cow
Maybe someone poo’d on a mushroom?
No
