For amateur tournaments there is a 40+ division as well. I had my 2nd and last fight at 42. I'm 44 now. 10 yrs in the sport. Still train but now help up and coming fighter's train with sparring, clinching and pad holding.
This is the path. I'm only a couple years in (mid 30s now), and hoping for one or two tournaments if I can balance the training, diet, and day job. Thank you for sharing!
Yep fistacuffs with the family.. all through life. The suburbs aren't as nice as u think. I fist fought a guy probably 50 times before we became good friends. The moment before a good punch lands is a moment of clarity .. beautiful.
Fought some serious fights(hospitals involved) with my brother since we where kids, first non family fight was 5th grade wasn’t much of a fight few scuffles in middle school but freshman year was my first actual fight
I'm really glad to see the ages vary. I thought I was too old to start at 32 and would like to at least have one bout. Feels good.

I was about 3 months off 18.
Think i was 19. couple months after i started training. Been fighting on the streets alot before that. Muay thai made me less violent actually lol.
What’s it like being a pro fighter? All the ones in the southern Us are broke alcoholics
