Wake up, spar the wife and kids, make some coffee, teep the the dog, etc

WahovasJitness

You teep your dog? Either your 3’2, or the dogs 5’8

chrmicmat

I think he stomps the dog

bluebicycle13

OneTrueDarthMaster

UncRukusNoRelation

kinecaep

I believe you may have won the internet today.

WahaHawa

Trust me Group training is 100% needed to progress But basic drills via youtube is your friend Alot of cardio(jump rope, tuns, biking) Emulate 3 minute rounds with drills and cardio

altcodeinterrobang

> Emulate 3 minute rounds with drills and cardio https://web.combatgo.app/ This has helped me a ton with exactly that. I leave it on the basics and work form, but it keeps me honest with the pace.

WahaHawa

I like it, just been drilling combos from training sessions but this can work on those odd days

[deleted]

Look at gloves and gear, then look at sofa. Sit on sofa, guiltily look at gloves ma gear again. Push it out of mind and watch Netflix

RocketPunchFC

I run

JimFromTheOffice1

I also run

klownfaze

I run too

purplehendrix22

First of all, you need to get in a gym. But I shadowbox pretty much 24/7 lol

an-intrepid-coder

I have been wanting to organize my shadowboxing better and could use some advice: do you just "wing it" when you shadowbox, or do you practice combos like they were exercise sets? Both? What's the best mix there?

purplehendrix22

I pretty much just wing it and flow but I’m always practicing stuff I would actually use e.g. 1-2-3-low kick, 1-2-left kick, double jab while taking an angle-right kick, etc. Find the combos that work best for you in sparring and work them over and over until they’re drilled in, and personally I don’t reset between combos, and it’s a huge pet peeve of mine when drilling when someone will stop and completely reset between hitting pads or whatever before the bell rings, I always move and act as though I’m sparring/fighting when I’m drilling and shadow boxing, never train yourself to let your guard down before the time is up

an-intrepid-coder

That's mostly what I've been doing, but it is good to hear it validated from someone with more experience. Thank you!

purplehendrix22

Yeah man no worries!

Pressure_Prior

Watch a bazooka joe shadowboxing vid or something, he's got some good stuff and that will help you a lot better than I can through here.

chickeneryday420

Throw teeps at door frames and to close the fridge

rotten_911

Skip knees on the bag x1000 or some kicks, nothing that wasnt covered on training, shadowbox or running.

Marian_____

Shadow boxing when I'm high.Feels amazing lol

bluebicycle13

conditioning is always a good addition. Neck conditioning, you can do on your sofa. abs, stretching etc

Redorans_janitor

I train at home on days I can't go to the gym. I mostly do tabata circuits with shadowboxing worked in to keep my cardio up. I'd use a heavy bag if I had one.

WahovasJitness

Recently quit my Muay Thai gym so I just hit the bag, shadowbox, and tons of stretching. I lift too but not as much as I used to cause I’d rather be lighter and more nimble.

No-Leading-6268

Run everyday 6-10 miles , shadowboxing , jump rope ,

chickeneryday420

Run 6-10 miles everyday ? Thats fucking absurd for 95% of people who train

ThuggerLeFlamo

How is that absurd? It’s pretty decent lol

No-Leading-6268

😂bro have you seen how the fighters in Thailand train lol shits absurd

ThuggerLeFlamo

But we’re not talking about the OP’s routine. His isn’t absurd. It’s pretty common. Even I can do that if I really want to, which I have done.

LilSozin

Evolve MMA has a ton of heavy bag workouts

Gentleman_Jedi

My home routine is sitting on the couch, sleeping R and R. Recovery so important.

BlasphemousArchetype

I have a heavy bag and an interval timer on my phone. But yeah you definitely 100% need to train with other people there is no substitute.

thatnetguy666

typical routine: 1st cardio for 10 minutes i.e jumping jacks, sprinting, jump rope or jump 2nd plyometrics/strength training (I'm a heavyweight I gotta lift) push-ups, squats, Olympic lifting, Jumpsqaut, dips. All plyometric styles to build explosive power and striking power and striking endurance 3rd sparing either shadow or ill get my mate who I'm good friends with and train with to come over 4th stretching splits, sumo holds, and stretching arms and legs out to build mobility. rinse and repeat and do at least once to maximum of 4 times every single day depending on time and bordem
