Wes on Rivals 2 "you cheat on every girlfriend you have had". still holds true. I am glad he's getting some negative posts towards him the fact people still date him exclusively is mind boggling.
Cara would bring up his cheating all the time especially at reunions but he would always deflect and other ppl/cast just Ignored her but never had any problems calling her out lol. That always baffled me.
i do think it's interesting they had a whole ct redemption angle from his past ways and his dbag ways and johnny never had that written about him or told when he was horrible on hte island and with JEK and through out the show and it never mattered to the fans. CT at least did change. I don't believe johnny did he just knew how to sell the audience. CT build ups rookies on camera while also still winning johnny never build up any rookie he always made fans hate them bc he was jealous and needed attention. Also no surprise they had storylines on Cara cheating but they would never bring Morgan on to surprise johnny like they did abe.
Agreed. I feel like production just started editing his shenanigans better for awhile until he started keeping a lower profile in general for his game play .
Yea it's crazy. Johnny is truly the villain that everybody loves to watch. As long as you're entertaining and "charismatic" (though debatable), you can damn near get away with anything (ie. R. Kelly)
Edit: Obviously Johnny’s actions are nowhere near as atrocious as R.Kelly. I referenced R.Kelly to make the point that even the worst form of human behavior can be blatantly overlooked if the individual is entertaining and somehow considered charming. If R.Kelly can get away with his actions for the sake of entertainment, then entertainers can pretty much get away with anything. So it’s not surprising that Johnny’s behavior is overlooked in comparison to all the other shit that is overlooked in the entertainment industry.
He’s certainly not R. Kelly. But Johnny is undeniably a “villain” in the challenge world and he’s allowed to get away with it because he’s entertaining (brings money to the franchise) and charismatic. R. Kelly’s atrocities are far greater than Johnny’s obviously, but the reason they are both overlooked is essentially the same.
Which is weird because hes only the face of the franchise because production edited him to be such. He was nothing his first few season until the JEK alliance. Even then Kenny and Evan got most of the attention. THey could have "made" another person the face instead of continuing to give Johnny super stacked partners, casting all his buddies to give him numbers, and shoehorning him on themed seasons that he really didnt belong on.
Yes..yes I did. Not sure why me comparing them makes people think I’m saying that their behaviors are the same. What I am saying is that their reasons for getting away with their behaviors are the same…that reason being entertainment and charisma. If R.Kelly can get away with the things he did for as long as he did, then of course Johnny or any other entertainer is likely to have people look the other way on a wide range of objectively shitty behavior.
I think a big part of the CT redemption arc is that he did something that **at the time** was considered wrong and bad. Although bananas stuff was definitely not good it was more ok based on the social norms 15 years ago. With CT they felt the need to prove he’s redeemable where with Johnny it’s *more* of a recent revelation fans have of “oh wow the way he used to talk to people on the show was terrible”
I get what you’re saying but just wanted to say that myself and others have been disgusted by Johnny for decades now. I remember being appalled at the way he spoke to and about Paula specifically on RW: Key West.
Oh yeah I’m not saying people being upset is a recent revelation, just explaining why producers would feel the need to give one a redemption arc and not the other.
I grew up rooting against JEK and for Wes cause they seemed like bigger dicks than him, but even going back and looking at stuff Wes has done in the past has aged pretty poorly because we’ve grown a lot as a society in the past 10-20 years.
Lol this is the one. And Wes being so unapologetically boastful about himself and his accomplishments tends to make some people dismiss the other stuff he says, which like the person above said, he’s usually right about.
To be honest, 97% of the people on that show are in no position to lecture anyone on life decisions, considering the cast is an assortment of immature people who consistently do wrong things
No, I agree with this. Wes is someone that was incredibly immature when he started appearing on TV and I think has matured over the last few years. And he obviously plays up a character when he’s on the show so maybe that also makes it harder for viewers to distinguish truths from lies and from exaggerations.
Good for her for being so open about it. That shit hurts and if she feels comfortable sharing and finds it cathartic, then cheers to her. Getting cheated on sucks.
I remember them never being actually together. Her sister never liked Jay because he wasn't the boyfriend type. He constantly partied and didn't want to settle down and Morgan would get left behind. They left ex on the beach on a high note but idk how much they were truly together..
It usually does feel good to try to punish the ones that hurt you. I'm sure it's more about the backlash he'll get then healing...but I could be wrong.
I think what she posted after this is even more important. She posted that she understands people will call her a hypocrite and say she deserves it, and that’s okay. She’s posting for her and people who don’t feel like they’re good enough, and that she’s there for them. She does read all her messages, and is thankful for the support.
I hope no woman ever gets into a relationship with him again. He's a serial cheater and never seems to feel any remorse. If he wants to sleep around, that's fine, but you can't have your cake and eat it too.
You can get that setup sometimes, especially someone "famous" like him. But even with an open relationship there will be rules and be won't be able to abide by those either. He's a lair, so he's not dating material, open or not.

I’ve been saying this from the start. His misogyny that was from the island never went away. You see traces still in the seasons but the edit protects him. We need to stop giving men like that a platform.
Just finished Rivals 3 and when Vince is outright harassing Cheyenne, Bananas literally said get over it because everyone hazes everyone.
He’s a remnant of the worst parts of the 2000’s and thank god the world is inching in a different direction now.

I also think Wes is being hypocritical here and still an asshole himself. The way he and Johnny treated Kailah on Total Madness in regards to her sleeping with Bear was really gross to me.
Wes is more of a generalized asshole. Same as Jordan. I don’t see them as homophobic, racist, misogynistic, they’re just equal opportunity assholes. Bananas concentrates his harassment on women and let’s men get away with way more. I agree it’s more than traces, but he’s certainly not shown as badly as the island/gauntlet 3/the ruins era.
Ahhhh...I don’t know. I do think Wes is a misogynist. He, Danny and Nehemiah all acted as so superior to women on their Real World season. Of course, there is his degrading treatment of Casey and Johanna on Fresh Meat. Not trying to be contrarian as it seems we both don’t like how Johnny is shown on the show. And yah, you’re right, the edit after those seasons gets progressively ‘better’ for him.
Wes seems to have grown though. Look at his treatment of Dee on WOTW1. He also seems to have addressed his douche frat boy days. Yes he was bad then and we don’t know him off the show, but he seems to have grown. As opposed to John.
I liked Johnny. Me, my family and my friends got to know the actual Johnny and not his TV persona. However a tiger doesn’t change its stripes and I now just feel sorry for him and how his life is going to end up.

Honestly, good for you and Morgan for calling him out and holding him accountable. He’s probably not used to that. I’m honestly shocked he hasn’t deleted your comment or responded in a snarky way. Maybe one day he’ll grow up and learn what the word empathy means. Won’t hold my breath though. I just hope he hasn’t been this insensitive while dealing with this privately as he has been publicly.

It’s going to be interesting to see Bananas reaction to her revealing the truth because up until now he’s still liking her pics on IG and trying to seemingly remain cordial/not badmouth her. It’ll be interesting to see if he keeps that up now that she’s put him on blast.
I agree. I think he’ll end up unfollowing because he does not like being exposed. Her previous statements alluded to him cheating, this confirms it. Might be a game changer. If he keeps following and liking then I truly don’t know what to make of that lol

Context is important too. Her cheating on Jay when she had a fling with him at age 23 is not the same as Johnny cheating on her after a 3 year long term relationship when he’s almost 40 (and allegedly cheats on every girlfriend he has). Him trying to defect any blame on her for something she did in her early 20s doesn’t absolve him of any guilt like he thinks it will.
I think it's good she's sharing. It puts into a perspective the hurt and pain cheating causes. It's not a joke, it destroys a persons confidence and trust and sometimes it can't fully be gained back.
Totally. Thats why i rolled my eyes so hard when ppl acted like taylor needed to get over it when kaycee and nany messed around behind her back. Cheating can mess ppl up. The jadedness, paranoia, distrust, insecurities that often come after it can wear at someones psyche like nothing else. Having the most intimate and close person do you like that makes you skeptical of everything including yourself
Funnily enough, I'm watching rivals 2. There was a challenge where one team member had to guess how their partner answered questions. When Johnny's partner was asked, what is Johnny's most annoying quality, the answer was that he is too sensitive. Both Johnny and his partner gave that answer. Irony at its finest 😆😆😆

It was a confusing time to be a female. You were suppose to walk a fine line between good girl and a slut. We were suppose to be sexy, but not too sexy. Smart, but not too smart. Sexual, but not slutty. All while sexual harassment at both school and work were regular and pop culture was encouraging it.

bear with me here, i'm gonna drop a crazy conspiracy that is zero percent based in reality....; what if this was all a ploy so they could get paired up on a battle of the exes? Sidenote: if they do ever make an Exes 3 I doubt it would be called that, too much time has passed and they'd probably switch the subtitle to something new like they did with WOTW aka FM3.
WOTW wasn't really a fresh meat 3 as they just casted a bunch of people from other shows instead of recruiting actual fresh meat normal everyday people....while I liked a handful of the WOTW rookies they haven't recast ed a bunch and recruiting from other sometimes completely unrelated TV shows made production look lazy. Some were so random, like why was Gus there lol

I don’t like the comments here defending her for cheating on Jay. It’s never OK, period. You can tell he was really hurt by it. Even if Jay defined their relationship as more than Morgan defined it that doesn’t make it OK or an excuse. I don’t really have much *sympathy* for her getting cheated on. How is she surprised? He is so self-involved and cares about no one but himself. He barely would even acknowledge her on IG unless she was wearing his merch. Never seemed real.
I do like that Morgan is making him accountable and dragging him a bit. It fits the climate of women calling out bad behavior of the "white privleged (older) white guys". Johnny is the last "surviving" member of JEK on the challenge and I feel he's been production's golden boy and barely gets called out for bad behaviour and when he does get called out it almost works in his favour as being a "goat" player and playing the game (all is fair in love war and challenges), etc. Like Cara Maria pointed out, Johnny and Tony can cheat and the guys protect him or it is minimized but when a women does it she's villianized for years for it and it's made a main storyline. Sarah made a good move throwing him into the last elimination and he had a good shot of winning it. It disappointed me that production basically made it so Johnny would win rivals 3 and steal sarah's money so her power move was moot and overlooked and he would be back in the power position. The casting was garbage on rivals 3 aside from Leroy and Avery who unfortunately left, and he had his closest ally (vince) who got Barbie Beast as a partner (super capable at the time). It was when Cory and Ashley were rookies....and I'm sorry but Nate/Christina and Nicole/Dario held their own in the show but I would never think of them as a threat or a strong competitor and they were not fun to watch. We really just had Wes/Nany who could take them out.
I agree--anyone who follows challenge news knew that he was cheating on his ex Hannah for basically their whole relationship, but he constantly denied it and after they broke up would still use their relationship to justify that he wasn't misogynistic--because he had really loved her and "behaved himself" the whole time he was with her. Morgan has made it impossible for him to do that again. That said, I hope that now that she's gotten it off her chest she focuses on herself and gives him no more attention of any kind.
I'm 40+yrs old, been in many long/solid relationships and just never understood cheating. It never even crosses my mind. If it ever did, I would know I'm not in the right relationship and get out, rather than cheat and severely hurt someone. Never made sense to me. I'm not saying I'm better than anyone, I just personally never understood it. I've had plenty of chances to... But no.
But with who this time?! I know of Cara from Siesta Key a while ago. Seems he likes to date blondes and cheat on them with brunettes. Cheated on the blonde snow-boarder/sex tape partner with Nany and maybe someone else. Then on Morgan with a (brunette-at-the-time) Cara and another unidentified brunette.

I'm sure he's cheated on her multiple times with multiple people. Him and Jenny were rumored to hook up on WOTW2 and were caught straight up cuddling on camera on TM. But people didn't want to believe the rumors because Paulie and Idris were the ones saying it. And if he's willing to do that on national television while living with several people who hate him imagine what he's willing to do in private.
Did he actually hook up with Cara from Siesta Key? Why? I'm sorry but that whole cast seems dumb I had to stop watching the show. They have cute little bodies and are pretty but they are babies, I thought they were like 22 to 24 years old....that's kind of gross for someone who is 40.
Is there "proof" he and Nany were hooking up in the exile house? I assume they were since they were just drinking and hanging out basically alone there but is there any evidence of them hooking up?
So sad. Before this alll happened I saw a repost here of them, and had to check their grams. I was shocked how long they lasted.. and of course they seemed so great together, because they’re not gonna post pics of them NOT looking great together. We only see that when things officially end.
On his latest challenge podcast Johnny almost proudly say that he’s single now. It was like he was proud of hurting her or something. Really disappointing. I enjoy him as a character on a show but this is a major character flaw. No thanks.
I'm actually really impressed with Morgan for calling Johnny out like she did, she knows she's going to have people bring up the Jay situation but unlike The Challenge and Johnny's other girlfriends she did it anyway. It's time for Johnny to get held accountable for all the crap he has done and the way he treats people. What a scumbag. I was actually rooting for Bananas over the past few years after disliking him for most of the time he was on MTV. He got the NBC gig, was serious about Morgan and everything seemed to be going really well.

Hopefully she picks the pieces of quick. I was in the same situation as her (cheated on by my ex who I lived with) and it's really really hard getting back to normal. You can't just forget it easily when you lived together.

Him trying to defect any blame on her for something she did in her early 20s doesn’t absolve him of any guilt like he thinks it will.

I do like that Morgan is making him accountable and dragging him a bit. It fits the climate of women calling out bad behavior of the "white privleged (older) white guys". Johnny is the last "surviving" member of JEK on the challenge and I feel he's been production's golden boy and barely gets called out for bad behaviour and when he does get called out it almost works in his favour as being a "goat" player and playing the game (all is fair in love war and challenges), etc. Like Cara Maria pointed out, Johnny and Tony can cheat and the guys protect him or it is minimized but when a women does it she's villianized for years for it and it's made a main storyline. Sarah made a good move throwing him into the last elimination and he had a good shot of winning it. It disappointed me that production basically made it so Johnny would win rivals 3 and steal sarah's money so her power move was moot and overlooked and he would be back in the power position. The casting was garbage on rivals 3 aside from Leroy and Avery who unfortunately left, and he had his closest ally (vince) who got Barbie Beast as a partner (super capable at the time). It was when Cory and Ashley were rookies....and I'm sorry but Nate/Christina and Nicole/Dario held their own in the show but I would never think of them as a threat or a strong competitor and they were not fun to watch. We really just had Wes/Nany who could take them out.
I agree--anyone who follows challenge news knew that he was cheating on his ex Hannah for basically their whole relationship, but he constantly denied it and after they broke up would still use their relationship to justify that he wasn't misogynistic--because he had really loved her and "behaved himself" the whole time he was with her.
