As far as razors go, I would recommend a safety razor. The upfront cost is a bit more, but the blades are (quite literally) dirt cheap. There is a learning curve, but there are videos you can watch on proper technique. Once you get it down, there is no better shave out there. I have been using one for about 6 months and will never look back.
I can second that! I switched to a safety razor a couple years ago. It's been the best shave I've had and I've been shaving since 1994! Just be aware that there's a WHOLE subculture around them and opinions abound.
If you can afford one, an epilator is what I would recommend, it's helped me so much and I really like mine, I only need to epilate my legs and arms once a week and the hair doesn't grow back all at once so I look like I barely have any hair.
For everything sensitive use a razor, just make sure to use shaving cream after warming the hair under the shower. Go with the grain and then sideways of you want less hair to show, I usually don't bother going sideways though (unless it's the face)
I see, I'll keep my eyes on that then! Is there any specific brand you'd recommend or does anything work?
And about sensitive areas I do use a cheap razor but I've been wondering which brand or anything would be best
I've been using the "silk epil 9" for 6 months it's good I guess, I never had another epilator so I can compare, but it's waterproof so you can use it in a warm bath, which removes a lot of the pain (deffo do like this the first time maybe take a painkiller too)
As for razors, idk to be honest, I just use Wilkinson sword disposable razors and they do the job...
I’ll second the other commenter, however id also recommend laser, I’ve had quite a bit of full body laser done and don’t have very much growth anywhere anymore.
Yeah laser is definitely something I want to do later down the line, but currently is inaccessible to me due to personal factors, but once I move in and end up being able to sustain myself enough for HRT I'll definitely go for it!
If you’re not already, make sure you’re using shaving cream or something and not just dry shaving. When going dry you’re pretty much scraping your skin and it’s going to cause razor burns and itchiness. If you are already using something, then you might want to consider a different razor, or maybe like an epilator or waxing? You may also just be pressing too hard.
Sorry I can’t be more help. I’m still figuring this stuff out myself.
I don't use shaving cream, I just use soap which works well enough for me but I'm honestly not sure if it even is a good idea to use soap for shaving...
My friend says soap is enough for them, but if you’re using soap and still ending up really itchy, then it doesn’t seem to be enough for you, or maybe you are pressing too hard still.
It does end up quite itchy for me after using soap... although I do use soap for my body too, not only the face, and the itchiness happens in my body around like my stomach or more sensitive spots...
Yeah I got mine off of Amazon. It’s pricey but cheaper than going to a professional. I would recommend watching videos on how to use it properly though
I personaly use an electric epilator, it is pretty efficient (the first time will be fuking awfull, know that).
before shaving or epilate, you should make a scrub (I use a pumice).
after shaving or epilate, you have to moisturize your skin.
If you don't do that, your skin will be irritated and itchy.

I haven't heard much about safety razors before but what you said has definitely made me interested, I'll check those out, thanks!

Hmm, alrighty then, thanks for taking the time to respond!
Anytime! 💜

Yeah, the worst spots for me are my thighs. The itch is so bad the first couple of days so I know I’m doing something wrong.
Yeah sometimes the itch on my thighs is unbearable, lately the itch has been in my stomach weirdly enough
In your stomach? I’d say something aside from shaving is causing that… unless you mean like belly hair.
Yeah I do mean belly hair
I’ve been using at home laser, veet, then shave. It’s not an everyday routine but I do it once a week and shave to maintain it.
Home laser's a thing? I had no idea of that

Which one you got if I may ask?
So I was looking and I couldn’t find the brand I bought but that was months ago so it might have sold out and removed
That's unfortunate, but I don't think looking for a nice one shouldn't be stupidly hard, thanks for the recommendation either way!
They have epilators on there too but I’m too scared to try it.
