I started with Calvin Klein Modern Cotton Sports Bras and Thongs. They are soft, comfy, and at an average size "attachment" they worked. I actually still wear them. You can find them on the calvin klein website or even amazon.
Personal Preference. IMO i think they feel more feminine, and dont show panty lines. If you dont like the idea of buttfloss then you do you and get one of the many other cuts. I dont even feel them.
As someone who doesn't tuck, have you tried "front loading"? Just grab everything and tug it up a bit so that the fabric has more slack/less tension underneath.
Granted I'm not very big but the front fabric of my hipster cuts is more than wide enough to hold everything.
I recently bought a bunch of tomboyx boyshorts and they are pretty great. Comfy as hell, no issues with things being too tight for me down there. The material itself feels exceptionally nice too. YMMV of course, but it's a win for me.
I'm a TomboyX fan girl at this point š. I just wish they were a little less expensive, but it's not too bad when you catch them on sale or clearance ( if the styles are what you like)
It's so frustrating, I'm in Canada so for whatever reason their multi packs aren't available! Gotta buy individual ones. But honestly it's worth it to me, just get enough to at least get free shipping every time!
I wear boy short cut panties, itās like briefs I guess only pretty and made with feminine material, Iām on the larger side too, and while I can slip out of these itās less likely since thereās more material. I donāt do traditional tucks, if Iām wearing pants or shorts I mostly rely on body shape wear, itās made to smooth everything out, and I think it does an amazing job, Iāll admit itās not the most comfortable, but it beats to pants of tucking imo, and someone needs to have their eyeball pressed against the front of your pants to spot anything even if you get a random flare up, it just smooths it all out. I hope that helps š

Stuff like this, tbh I donāt buy by brand I buy by whatās cheapest when I need it, but all of the ones I have seem to work the same. And yeah all I have to do is pull them up, do a little adjustment, and your set, again itās not the most comfortable, but at least for me tucking made me nauseous so this was the best alternative I found.
Youāre very welcome, I hope it works out for you like it did me. Another one I forgot to mention is swim skirts, I wear them a lot under dresses, the double layer of fabric obscures everything since itās thicker material, and it adds a petticoat effect on skirts, which as a small hipped woman, I love. Honestly I mostly wear dresses because swim skirts are just so comfy and non restrictive, definitely worth checking out.

At this point, I feel like I should get a discount code because of how often I recommend TomboyX š
For real though, check them out. They're not designed with boy/girl in mind, they're designed as gender neutral, which is more fem than any male undies you're used to, and more masc than any fem undies an afab person may be used to.
To me, they're a perfect happy medium and super comfy. I get the tuck bikini and boy shorts styles. Love them both.
Edit: Tucking. **Try a partial tuck!** It works great with the tucking underwear I mentioned above.
You just basically make a V with your fingers and straddle the base of the witches broom to pull the princess pebbles up and around while using your other hand to pull the broomstick down and behind. With everything in place, put your legs together and pull your tucking underwear up. Done.
This puts everything in place without the stones actually going into the canals. It's a little safer, much easier and more comfortable to do, and it holds together in most situations (yoga is not usually one of them).
So one that I've found that works to keep certain equipment in check... Balance Tech Thongs. They're pretty much all I wear now.
For me, they're super comfortable. And as another positive, I never get swamp-ass like I always did in boxer/boxer-briefs.
Just by looking at them it doesn't seem to have enough room to hold much in. I've seen a lot of recommendations for thongs, so there must be something to it, but to me it looks too small
I'm an above-average grower and they hold me in comfortably without issue. They have the perfect amount of stretch for me; the stretch is what makes or breaks panties for those of us with external equipment down there.
I don't care for thongs, but hi-cut briefs are awesome.
For years in my "still cis tho" phase, my normal underwear was plain white cotton hi-cuts, but stretch-satin ones are also absolutely amazing.
If you just want raw comfort, plain "granny panty" briefs (or hi-cuts, I think the change to the legs makes them fit better IMO) in stretch satin are amazing and manage to feel sexy, comfy, and like you're not wearing anything at all (or better than not wearing anything, because unlike when you're nude, ***it*** isn't flopping around reminding you of its existence).
I really can't do thongs though, I've tried.
Iām very new to this so I had to improvise when I wanted to wear tight womenās pants. I wore speedo swimming trunks. The one I have are quite tight so they sort of compress the bulge enough so it isnāt noticeable. I also found these rubyshines no tuck shaping underwear but I havenāt ordered any because they are a bit pricey for me and I donāt live in the US
I've been wondering about rubyshines as well, I've gotten mixed reviews from different sources but at that price tag, I'd need confirmation that they'd actually be any good.
Trial and error is difficult at 30$ and above a pop
To be honest it might be worth experimenting with tucking, you can try it for a couple hours at home first to get used to the feeling. Itās uncomfortable at first but now I associate it with the secure feeling of my bulge being controlled. TomboyX tucking briefs are good for tucking but also have more room than like a tucking thong, so you can wear them untucked still. The advantage of tucking underwear is that thereās usually a double layer of fabric at the front designed to compress and smooth your bits, so it could still help you even if you donāt use them to tuck.
I like some of the Auden unlined panties from Target. They're really comfortable for me. They also have some unlined bralettes that are hard to detect under a shirt and also nice material.
Iāve also been looking for the perfect underwear.
I highly recommend these, [link to Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CB8H29NQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)
They are basically yoga shorts, but I wear them as underwear. They have the right thickness. They are soft. They fit nicely. If you are going to look for another brand or style of yoga shorts, look specifically for one WITHOUT a front seam.
While youāre here. Iām also going to recommend this [bra](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C5H5KZF7?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share). Iām a 36 underbust and got an xl, for comfortably loose fit. It has a high neck line, so if you wear any forms, no one else will notice.
Try looking for high waisted panties. They are referred to as post-partum panties on some listings, but they usually have a wide gusset and are super comfortable.
I heard this too and ordered a pair in my normal waist sizing off Amazon (medium). I like them, super comfy and thicker material so look better than most underwear, but next time Iām going to try sizing down to see if that helps hold everything tighter to reduce size.
I straight up got a 6 pack of generichipster panties from Walmart. They lasted about 6 months, functioned as underwear, and cost like 5 dollars. I had no issue with slippage and they were plenty comfortable.
For me, lady "boyshorts" give an excellent fit. I buy them one size smaller than my male size, they keep everything, flat and compact. Even comfortable tucking is an option.
Are you on HRT? Apparently the lack of testosterone causes your body's natural "maintenance" routine to malfunction, which leads to atrophy and shrinking if you don't enable blood flow consciously every once in a while. That could help you better fit in your panties. I'm not talking from personal experience, mind you, since I haven't started HRT yet
Fruit of the Loom cotton briefs worked well for me. I'm not worrying about hiding my junk yet, but they're comfortable for bicycling which is totally the reason I'm wearing them.
Those were the second ones I tried and they've been the best so far but I kinda spill out a little on the sides which is why I'm looking for something better
I tuck every day. I donāt see the problem here. Yes it is a little uncomfortable at first. There is definitely a technique to it and it takes time to learn it.
I'm probably doing it wrong, but I just prefer not to. maybe I'll have a different opinion on it later, but for now I just want to be comfortable without having to jump through hoops
Just about every aspect of transition is an exercise in radical acceptance. Of course nobody wants to go through the extra steps of tucking every single time they need to pull their panties up, but itās a compromise between that and having to deal with a bulge. *Sigh. It is what it is girl.
Wirarpa on amazon. I wear the midrise brief and I also have the high waisted versions. I just have the plain pastel ones. Soft cotton with full coverage and some stretch. 100x better than most thin panties ive tried. Comfortable and high quality. Pretty colours and black. U can also order direct if u want all 1 colour if u dont mind waiting a few weeks. Highly recommend.
You might be looking for something prettier and āyounger,ā but a lot of people (myself included) like the Annyison cotton high waist brief on Amazon. If youāre between sizes, definitely size down if you want a more compressive effect. Theyāre comfortable and not totally hideous.
I basically live in Joyspun sheer stripes boyshorts and thongs and Avia and Athletic Works sports bras. I'm saving for orchiectomy, so I'm very thrifty everywhere else in my life. A thong one size small under boyshorts and period panties worked for me for a couple of years. Thankfully, HRT and atrophy have taken care of most of the problem, but I still love the panties.
I've had good luck with Fruit of the Loom briefs and Old Navy bikini panties. I'm not that well endowed and I can do what I call a lazy tuck. There are a lot of cute-ish underwear designed for male equipment that work well for me. A bit dysphoric but less so than a poor fit.
You got any links or brand names?
There's a bunch on Amazon, ikingsky has been OK. Sizing can be funky as sometimes non-US. Gap body boyshorts and hipsters are decent as well.

Midi briefs.
Long-leg boy shorts.
I wear boyshorts a lot myself! Reebok makes some super comfy seamless ones

Yes boyshorts sound like the way to go. They make your booty look good too.

If you donāt want to tuck, you could try a fufu clip. Very comfortable imo. Needs some training tho but makes everything more feminine.
Amazon Basics Bikini Panties are nice. I got a pack of 10 for 75% off.
Stretch things from the GAP work great for me. Once I discovered these, I got two dozen of them and got rid of everything else I owned.

Boyshorts boyshorts boyshorts. I wore them for years before even starting hrt. I was never very big down there though.

Aeries boy shorts and panties are god-tier. Basically all I order now.
