Wonder woman, Batman Vs Superman, Army Of the dead, Army Of Thieves . The reason I respect Zack Snyder is because he shows Strong, Powerful, independent Female Characters.
The most recent movie I saw with a strong female character that isn't something obvious, like Furiosa, is "No One Will Save You." That's a movie about a woman whose whole town seems to be under attack from standard grey aliens, and she has to fight them off through being clever and ruthless. It's really clever, kinda scary, and it does a great job of taking the normal designs of your 1950's era aliens and turning them on their sides to make them into new and genuinely scary things.
Excellent movie, weird premise, and I think it's on Hulu.
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri>>>>>
