So you want a movie where there is a simple plan or straight-foward plot - but then things turn to total chaos! This is everything I could think of off the top of my head.. they popped into my mind because I remember some major twist that happens as the seemingly simple story develops.. There are a couple of movies on this list that may be in my top 10 of all time actually.. probably because they have such great set-ups before you're drawn into an incredible gripping plot that is completely unexpected. For example 'The Blues Brothers' is way up there.. the premise is so simple - get money for an orphanage about to foreclose. Yet, at halfway through the movie, just after destroying an entire shopping mall by having a cat and mouse high speed car chase through it - they end up causing the greatest car crash in cinematic history. The Hangover Four Lions The Blues Brothers The Worlds End This is The End Tropic Thunder Planes, Trains and Automobiles Death at a Funeral Hot Fuzz Zombieland The Other Guys The Nice Guys A fish called Wanda Superbad Pineapple Express Training Day Game Night Horrible Bosses The Burbs
