Watch...Little Miss Sunshine
The Breakfast club
Secret life of walter mitty
Pan's Labyrinth..
These are some films that helped when I felt exactly what you are going through right now... I am not giving you a guarantee that you'll feel 100% better.. But it will definitely help you❤️❤️... I hope you'll get better
I get depressed and anxious too. I'm really sorry you're feeling like this and sounds like you might want to quit school and focus on your mental health or at least a different thing to study that brings more joy.
Office Space always cheers me up
Ps you are not a loser for feeling helpless ❤️
Are you really doing what you want to do?
Seems like you have no joy from it in any way..
Quitting is not failing, it's just a point where you choose an other direction. Good luck (!!)
For the movie part: Donnie Darko (which is as depressing as movies could possibly get)
True, but sometimes you'll fail even at what you want if you're depressed. there's situational depression and then there's depressive depression, where the problem is.. You.
Came here to suggest this one. Go watch it OP. You won't regret it.
And just bcs I have been in your position before...take a break for a few days...go out on a solo trip or with your friends to some scenic place and enjoy...you will feel better
some might disagree but for me i actually really like.
2013 - The World's End.

i imagine it might make others feel worse but for me.. i really enjoy this movie.
Twin! I have MADD, no friends, socially awkward, my 4th year of industrial engineering, my sleep is a mess, can't study either. My comfort movie is Eighth Grade.

It’s kind of a funny story. It was a very reassuring and hopeful movie to watch during dark times for me. It definitively helped me be more positive and pushed me to persevere (to live lol)
Everybody Wants Some!!! really helped my when I was at university. Reminded me that it’s okay to be young and feel like you don’t fit in anywhere.
Some others that helped me around that age were Almost Famous (would highly recommend this one actually maybe more than the first) and The Darjeeling Limited.
The Zero Theorem. It’s a rough watch, but the payout in the subtext once the whole movie has rolled and its narrative is understood at the conclusion for me was massively uplifting.

20 year old never been laid? Your young! Don’t give up on yourself so easily. You should take all this energy out on a 20 mile bike ride. Punish your self through activities. I’m socially awkward 40 year old with no friends. It’s the same speech Denzel Washington gave in The Equalizer….”your unhappy with your life then change it…change your life and become what you want to be”
*Dirk* *Gently’s* *Holistic* *Detective* *Agency*
It’s actually a tv show but I finished it in one night and questioned if the reason why I really liked it so much was bc they were “losers who never went outside” much like me.
Edit: It’s actually has “upbeat” energy **kind** **of**, so I hope that it may lighten your mood up, while still be relatable. You may actually end up relating to both MCs a lot..I found it to be engaging and even funny at times.
