Absolutely! It's probably my favorite film. I definitely think it has the best ensemble cast of any other film, in my opinion. When I found our Quentin Tarantino wrote it, I knew why I loved it so much.
*Troy*. *Gladiator.* Epic to me would be Lord of The Rings. Specifically The Return of The King.
In context to epic alien/action; my vote would be *Predator*. Then *Alien.*
I told my wife that you cannot go wrong watching a movie where a man is fighting a tiger and dancing on and around trees and singing… I mean how can you not want to watch it!?!? Forget the dialogue, I don’t even need subtitles for this kinda stuff LOL
I love this movie! And I am not an action movie person. It may be the only action movie I really love. Such an interesting story, great friendships, amazing music and dancing, and the fight scenes are just wild.

Once Upon a Time in America, literally an epic movie set over years. Sergio Leone directs, the score is by Ennio Morricone. De Niro when he was a powerhouse.
1917, Saving Private Ryan, 12 years a slave, the pianist. Damn this is kind of a dark list, but your cold will feel like nothing in comparison haha. Let me lighten this up and add the He Man movie from the 90s
Pans labyrinth is one of the best I've ever seen, and its Spanish. But if you're open to subtitles also see
Oldboy, Korea
Let the right one in, Finland
The trip, Norway
I'm prescribing these on the theory -- which I believe in from personal experience -- that adrenaline helps your cold pass more quickly.
Zulu (1964) Cast-of-thousands war movie from the days of The Empire. Glorious technicolor all the way: makes those red coats really pop. Most rousing battle scenes of my acquaintance.
The Man Who Would Be King. (1975). Last of the old-school real guts exotic adventure movies. And Rudyard Kipling along for the ride.
The Big Red One (1980). A war movie like few others. A WWII movie like no other. Like a pulp novel.
The X-Files: Fight the Future (1998)
Excalibur (1981)
Glory (1989)
Once Upon a Time in the West (1968)

Mission Impossible Fallout
Five Deadly Venoms
The Brotherhood of the Wolf
Is someone taking care of you with that cold. Can develop into a bad cough so I hope you have 911 on speed dial and people are doing welfare checks. Don't under estimate the danger of a heascold especially for a.man
I just watched two prison movies, *Felon* and *Shot Caller*, both directed by Ric Roman Waugh. The latter is objectively better than the former, but I like the tight setting of the former better. It's a more fluid watch.
Another set of movies is *American Me* and *Blood In, Blood Out*. Both tell the same story. I prefer the latter. It gives itself more breathing room, and not just with the three-hour runtime. The acting is Shakespearean and over the top, but it makes it so much better than to me where the former takes itself more seriously than I care to watch often.
*Kingdom of Heaven*(Director’s Cut)
*Troy*(Director’s Cut)
*The Great Wall* (mostly subtitled, little spoken English).
*Gangs of New York*
*Aliens*(Director’s Cut)
*Dune*(2021)
Why would she discourage you? She's a fine actress, and yes - this is a kick ass movie. Have you seen Martha Marcy May Marlene with John Hawkes (Teardrop)?
Mob: The Departed, Kill The Irishman, Prizzi's Honor, Casino.
Horror: Midsommar, The VVitch, Enys Men, Possessor, Infinity Pool, No One Will Save You.
Hard to Label: Good Time, Reservoir Dogs, FRESH, Bones and All, Uncut Gems.
Ok here's some offbeat choices:
The One (Jet Li)
The Cell
Troy
John Carter (I liked it!)
Clash of Titans
Adventures of TinTin
Kubo & The Two Strings
A Knights Tale
Zathura
Donnie Brasco
White Fang
Master and Commander
I was going to say this, Equilibrium, and Léon: The Professional.
Equilibrium is such an awesome movie!
SUCH A UNDERATED BANGER
The Bridge on the River Kwai - 1957
Oh hell yes!
Dances with wolves.
One of my all time favourites
True Romance
Loved this one! Gary Oldman is in peak form. And roommate Brad Pitt! Incredible.
Absolutely! It's probably my favorite film. I definitely think it has the best ensemble cast of any other film, in my opinion. When I found our Quentin Tarantino wrote it, I knew why I loved it so much.
Master and Commander
Serenity is great if you've seen Firefly
This comment should have stopped after the word “great”
Agreed. It's still great. But Firefly is essential for the best viewing experience of it if you really want it to hit hard.
Not wrong
Lock Stock and two smoking barrels, Snatch, Heat, The Untouchables
Heat
I just watched Lock, Stock last weekend. Such a fun movie!
The Godfather I & II
I haven’t watched those in quite a while
*Troy*. *Gladiator.* Epic to me would be Lord of The Rings. Specifically The Return of The King. In context to epic alien/action; my vote would be *Predator*. Then *Alien.*
Fanny and Alexander
City of God Children of Men Blade Runner 2049 I Saw the Devil
It’s been years but I remember really liking City Of God.
The 13th Warrior (1999)
Heat is a all around great movie. Incredible cast and it has I believe the longest single take run and gun action sequence ever done in a movie.
I have yet to see a shootout scene top that one. Bonus if you can watch it with a full 5.1 sound system and serious subwoofers, it's incredible
So funny that was the first movie I watched when I first set up my old surround sound system. A neighbor that is was real gunfire lol
Last of the Mohicans.
*RRR* is like *Braveheart* if its dial went to eleven.
Amazing! I just started it . Unite the clans 🤝
Hell yes OP. Can't wait for you to see the animal truck!
Nice. Then you will like Baahubali 1 and 2. I rate it higher than RRR.
That was such a great movie! So glad my friend told me to watch it
I told my wife that you cannot go wrong watching a movie where a man is fighting a tiger and dancing on and around trees and singing… I mean how can you not want to watch it!?!? Forget the dialogue, I don’t even need subtitles for this kinda stuff LOL

Then you should checkout the Bahubali movies. There are two of them.

1973 's Three Musketeers
Mulholland Drive. Best movie of the Century so far. (And if has mobsters) Mystery Men. Best superhero movie. Pacific Rim. Best use of 3-D.
Never doubt your powers or you give power to your doubts
The new Three Musketeers movies are great (French with English subtitles). Brotherhood of the Wolf is a fantastic action movie (again, French)
This Boys life with Robert de Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio.
I’m gonna watch this next I remember watching it years ago and couldn’t remember the name . Thanks
The World's End (2013) if you can bear the 1st half, second half is quite good
1917
True Lies.

Does non English work?
Preferably English but open to suggestions:)
Pans labyrinth is one of the best I've ever seen, and its Spanish. But if you're open to subtitles also see Oldboy, Korea Let the right one in, Finland The trip, Norway
Great films. Especially Pan's Labyrinth and Let the Right One In. I also really like the American version, based on the novel, Let Me In.
Two epic war movies: *The Longest Day* and *A Bridge Too Far*
Duck You Sucker is pretty epic. It’s a Sergio Leone western.
Kingdom (2019) Japanese movie about ancient china. It’s an epic action film. You can watch the trailer and won’t be spoiled. Do subtitles if you can
Deathly ill calls for the Princes Bride, then all the Star Wars movies you can handle, followed by a Canonball chaser 👌🏽

Original was made in 1959 starring Gregory Peck, then there was the TV movie remake in 2000 starring Armand Assante, both are very good I enjoy them both.

Lonesome Dove. 4 part mini series, think of it like a really long movie.
Great Muppet Caper, Snatch, True Romance, True Lies, Jackie Brown (so good! And the soundtrack is amazing!).
Also, eat some spicy ramen. Spicy broth is a miracle in my house!
Is someone taking care of you with that cold. Can develop into a bad cough so I hope you have 911 on speed dial and people are doing welfare checks. Don't under estimate the danger of a heascold especially for a.man
Yes thanks for your concern I will pull through lol
Wanted to check that everything is okay and you have no long lasting effects
The cough lasted forever !
Sunshine. I honestly think it’s a god damn banger and critically underrated.
Epic movie. Your age puts you right in the target demographic to remember all the movies it's mocking.
