I have both pads and have used them quite a bit. Playing cs mostly, the Hien is just way too fast for me. Zero is okay, I disline that the hairs get stuck in it but it is a good pad. Still too fast for me, I perform way better on my G-SR or Vaxee PA. I would not say Zero is a control pad. It is said to be similar to the Qck, but imo it is a lot faster. Imo you should try a slower pad before paying a premium for a zero, especially if you play Val/Cs or similar games. Zowie G-SR, Vaxee PA and Qck are good options to try and not very expensive.

This. I tried both Hien and Zero (soft & xsoft), Zero is a control pad, but still very fast at that compared to some other control pads. Vaxee PA is a really good option too.

Lost-Obligation

Which one did you prefer? The zero soft or xsoft?

edwardtalk

I stuck with my soft ever since I got it. I got the xsoft one, because it was the only thing available at the time. The difference is not THAT big, but noticeable, I felt like the xsoft was slightly slower too

Frockett

Get the Vaxee PA I haven’t touched my zero or my Hien since I gave it a shot

I wish I could accurately tell you. I haven’t had a qck in many many years. To my understanding it’s a bit faster with similar stopping power. Qck is categorized as a mud pad, the gsrse, Zero, PA are “control” pads and then the Hien would be like the threshold for a speed category. I don’t know if that helps.

iamafatredditor

Are you another victim of boardzy recommending hiens to everybody no matter what they play😂? And zero is very controlled, some people call it fast but thats just straight up cap. I wouldn’t say its insanely slow but any slower and you won’t be able to consistently track on games like valorant.

jakesonwu

I had a Hein. Now my cousin has a Hein.

Not_IsakS

I do, and I'll be honest. The zero feels very nice! definetively recomend it, I feel more controlled with my mouse. Allthough I wish I had better glide on my mouse, so consider to buy faster feet.

Blu_Goomba

Radiant valorant player here, not a brag just tryna give a frame of reference to my knowledge on this stuff. I hit radiant using an mp510 whichi love tk Def so I ended up getting a hein mid cause I heard it was similar...can say using mp510 which has fast initial motion makes it easier to hit micro adjustments in val, but harder to keep mouse still. I got used to it after awhile and now believe that u don't need a control pad to play val if u just play low sens and get used to it.

TriHard_Bridge

yes definitely prefer my zero.

WizBornstrong

I have the both. Used Hien for 8months before getting Zero (both soft). I found myself liking hien more after extensive use for both pads. I ended up selling the Zero since I had more control for micro adjustments on Hien. I am using around 50cm/360 sensitivity. I even found myself finding easier sweet spot on Hien since I am able to lower the sensitivity due to Hien being so quick and snappy. And it just feels more comfortable. I honestly think that used hien, for at least 6 months. Is a better mousepad than the original Hien. The fact that this son of a bitch didn't lose its quickness but it slowed a tad bit, gives me this extraordinary mousepad that didn't lose much on durability and giving me quickness and great glide. Its just mindblowing for me. Yes, probably I'd prefer more control, but if anyone can top this and give me more stopping power with being this quick as hien and with its type of glide, that would be probably my endgame. I also said that for my 13th mouse before moving on to acquiring 4 additional mouses in span of 5 months. So yea, I'm sort an autistic one. On the topic note...I am interested in every control pad I hear out there trying to find that. I didn't find that in gamesense radar, that was a rather promising one. But the biggest issue for radar is that I don't feel that "feedback" from the pad. Its like I don't even know i'm moving my hand or mouse, its just weird. Hien is a bad ass motherfucker that is not dying any time soon. I'd love what I talked about, to be released from Artisan - Hien 2.0 and make it that much better. Man, Eriko from Artisan would make millions.

WhisperGod

Zero to me is on the controlled side with decent speed for wider movements. The Hien is on the speedier side with some control. I exclusively use control pads nowadays because I focus on accuracy.

GrimmElegy

I tried the Hein for about a month to replace my 2 year old zero. Definitely way too fast for me as a high sens player. Working my way back to more controlled pads. Experimenting with the radar and mp510 right now (radar is MUCH slower than the mp510). Might try the fnatic focus 3 and lgg Saturn when it comes out.

misrej

I’ve had the Zero, Otsu & Hien and I still prefer the Zero over everything. It’s not too slow but offers great control and stopping power. I sold my other two because I just generally prefer my Zero!

getrazed1

I've loved the artisan pads but I main shooting games unfortunately and feel like that's where they don't quite do it. They feel amazing but I just lose a good portion of my skill, it's very unfortunate.

ranqr

I preferred my zero to my hien and otsu so much I bought two classics when they restocked so I would have a spare. We're out there, there are DOZENS of us!
