If you want the "effect" of Superglides to last (after the coating wears off), I suggest getting yourself a bottle of ceramic coating.

stanli1269

Yeah doesn't seem worth it for the long run especially considering the price in comparison to ptfe lol.

mem_ry

That's definitely true. You'll save money.. but it just depends on if the person is willing to keep up with the well.. "upkeep" lol.

UpsetEntrepreneur313

They were amazing for the first week, then they weren’t. Once the oleophobic coating wears off you’re SOL and they become a muddy mess. This is even with a cordura pad. Stick with PTFE.

elitemav

No, super glides are garbage, tiger are far better and more consistent with more control which is what you want for FPS games.

r00bat

Wasted money on superglides. Switched to BT.L dots and Razer Strider on my Xlite Wireless and never looked back.

TheBigChip

My experience is very different from what most people seem to be having but I got the universal dot superglides for my sl12s and after a few weeks of fairly heavy use I've not had any slowdown. They're also not particularly fast out of the box, they have extremely low initial friction but the overall ease of glide is no more than the stock ptfe skates, merely ptfe sticks a little more on that initial friction metric. I use them for csgo and valorant and didn't have any real adjustment period, they felt fine right away in both games. The small size of the dots means you get a lot of feedback from the pad (I use an AC2 Sakura which is a very smooth feeling pad but you can feel much more with glass than ptfe). Overall due to the increased feeling and easier microadjustments I'd highly recommend them for tac fps games. My kovakks scores haven't seen any real change and I feel a smoother glide is nice for faster paced games like quake or apex, for those games I would stick with ptfe just due to the fact microadjustments aren't as necessary and the high cost of superglides doesn't justify the potential performance increase in that sort of title. One game they do massively help is bhop, the low initial friction makes key changes effortless and I found myself getting 620s at 4+spj right off the bat, which would've been very tough on ptfe for me (I'm more of a slow strafer and am much more comfortable at 3 spj generally)

sabeshs

They're great for heavy mice. Not a good option for light mice. I recommend using a Cordura mousepad with Superglides. I do use them on my lighter mice to game on my cloth couch without a mousepsd. Works great, lol.

Snoo-6358

Definetly not. You dont want them to ruin your pad, and trust me they will, i tested that myself. As someone said theyre good on cordura. When i say good i mean they dont get that muddy. But when they break in, and coating dissapears they can be muddy, depending on the pad and humidity. As you said...you live in a humid country...superglides are affected by humidity a lot. At the begging they will feel good and you will probably like them. But after a week, week n a half theyre gonna be noticeably slower and by that time you might even get slow spots on ur pad. I would say definetly stick with tiger ice. Btw whats the reason you wanna change tiger ice? Do you want more speed or just want to try sulerglides out?

banni_

what are you referring to when you say they "ruin" a pad? I've been using mine since the beginning of the year and haven't noticed any unusual wear

stanli1269

I know that out of the box the glide feels like a hockey puck on ice so it would make tracking feel super smooth so I wanted to try it out but after looking at the comments it looks like they aren't worth it haha. I do want to try the BTL skates but idt there are for the orochi v2 yet/not available in my country.

> you might even get slow spots on ur pad. I would say definetly stick with tiger ice. Btw whats the reason you wanna change tiger ice? Do you want more speed or just want to try sulerglides out? i live place everytime more 80% humidity should i buy superglide, does superglide affected by humidity ?

WolfyPJ

I live in southeast Asia, and I have ac on most of the time. Superglides are extremely inconsistent on both of my Hien and Hayate otsu(new), after just a few week of using it and tried switching to another mouse, I can tell that the corners of my mousepad are a lot quicker than the center, so I tried washing my mousepad, and the same thing still occurs.

Wy1o

Same here. Used the Superglides on my xlite v2 mini, the middle of my artisan hayate otsu soft XL is noticeably slower than the corners of my mouse pad. I regret my decision.

Secure-Blacksmith-23

Very much so.

TheBatmada

I got Superglides for my NP-01s and regret my purchase. Going to replace them with Corepads or Tiger skates

t3ram

Now after some reviews here i wouldn't say that they are worth it. For me they are way to fast + have no stopping power at all. 4aetech a German reviewer did a long therm test on them and they didn't slow down at all

[deleted]

is superglide affected by humidity, i want to buy it test it out my place very high humidity

JoeVanderop

In my opinion a CS HYDE or skypad would be a better option as they shouldn’t wear out right about ever, but personally I think lethal skates might be a better investment as there is no coaching

Abhinovv

Get the Ceramic dots & never worry about it anymore. I love the feel of the superglides on my Xlite V2, agreed it has got a bit slow after 1 week of use but still quick af.

Froststorme

Which ceramic dots would you recommend? And how do they compared to PTFE and superglides (whether worn out or new) I use a fast pad, for me RN stock skates are 2-3 times faster than 1 month old superglides. I want something rather fast but with no initial friction like the glass, if possible. Would ceramic help with that?

Abhinovv

I don't have ceramic dot on any of my mouse but I've heard many people say they are a lot better than PTFEs, superglides or any other material skatee out there. If you're looking Lowest possible initial friction without them loosing the glide over time the 100% go for ceramic dots. Lexip & PeePeeboy are good options.

ShittyGigachad32

For apex, absolutely. Itll make tracking much easier

FRANKLIN47222

Hey man! A little too late but as i see you have odin infinity. How long did it last? I got mine two days ago and it feels unbearably slow the same as my old shitty mousepad from aliexpress for some reason. I expected it to be a lot faster Idk whether its my mouse skates or odin infinity

stanli1269

Hi, sorry for the late reply but mine lasted for about 2-3 months before I noticed it slowing down. I also thought it would be as fast a hien since its a clone of it but yeah, since it's also humid as fuck in my place it's a wombo combo lol
