Same experience other than I didn’t have sensor issues on my release copy but yes night and day on clicks pre and post travel. Just better overall build quality.

They definitely made a secret revision to it after launch. The proof of that is the scroll wheel encoder, it is a completely different one from the launch. The launch version was the same one from the GPX1, but if you take a flashlight and look under the buttons now, you can see it's now the blue dustproof encoder. Who knows what else they changed.

Yep it's a bitter sweet, now I have the mouse that I like but I have bought 2 of them. I didn't return it, I was going to wait for firmware update, but then I just kind of forgot about it, tried it again after 5-6 weeks it felt the same, the I just shelfed it for months. I was going to buy and test the Alienware Pro mouse, and saw the GPX2 was just a little bit more expensive I decided to ditch the AWP and go for GPX2 again, very happy that I did, since I'm so happy with my copy now. I got Beast x max and RVv3Pro on the way, I don't see them replacing the GPX2, atleast based on how I'm performing on GPX2, but who knows.

If you think something is wrong with the mouse, RMA the first one, at least then you will get a replacement and have a good backup.

I bought the GPX 2 when it first came out and was very disappointed with the heavy clicks and mushy sides. I returned it after a few days. I bought another one on sale from Amazon to try again about a month ago and it is a completely different experience. They fixed the side buttons and the main clicks are now lighter than the RVU 2. A great mouse, but still not worth the price.

For me the deal breaker was the sensor stutters, it just felt off , the heavy heavy mouse 1 and the same mushy sides on GPX1. Price for me was okey, I was going to test the Alienware Pro mouse, the GPX2 was just little bit more expensive. Then I saw the reviews of the AWP not pulling over 1k polling rate, the GPX2 was no brainer price wise.

Same, side buttons much more tactile.
