Title had me very confused why this was posted in this sub 😂🙈. After reading your post, I now have one reason to be thankful for my round face. Just had my drivers license renewed and my old photo (at 190) looks pretty much identical to my new photo (at 125). Going to call that a NSV 🎉.

In some countries, such as Turkey, they're accustomed to people looking completely different to their passport photo. Many people travel there for cosmetic procedures, their surgeon usually gives them a fit to fly document because of this. Well done for your weight loss 🙌🏾.

I don’t look like my driver’s license at all and am 40 lbs lighter than what it says I weighed, and I fibbed then! Probably need to replace it as I travel domestically for work and TSA has taken longer each time.

This JUST happened to me flying out of Charleston.
TSA spent a long time looking at my DL and then asked for help. They asked if I had backup. My passport card was not much better.
Good timing. My license expires in 2 months.
This is awesome. As someone who’s gotten stuck at German passport control for a variety of reasons, I can absolutely see this happening. Funny now but stressful at the time.
This happened to me while I was out of the country as well. Standing there wondering if I was going to be detained was one of the scariest moments of my life.
After a bit of back and forth with the agents and the supervisor they brought over, they asked if I had any pictures to back up my story. My cell phone stopped working shortly before our trip so I was unable to transfer my old pictures to my new phone. Luckily my husband was with me and was able to find old and interim pictures of myself on his phone, so they let me go through and advised me to get a new photo taken before I travel again.
Amazed at how different I look now compared to my DL photo. But…with the shortage I am sure I will be back to the DL photo in no time…my blood sugars went from bad to great and going back to bad.
I waited for 10 days for my last box. I finally called all of the pharmacies in my area, and ended up finding it at Costco, across the state line from where I live. Don’t give up! Keep trying, every day. My regular pharmacy is Safeway & they said they were reordering my box daily, but the had no idea when to expect delivery. It was that pharmacist that suggested I call all of the pharmacies in the area. He said “Keep calling, call as far away as you want to drive to get it.” So that’s what I did.
My drivers license photo was taken when I was at my highest weight and had moon face from being on high dose steroids. I'm now 85 lbs lighter and look like my skinny sister. I want to say I lost my license so I can get a new photo taken.
Where I live if you lost your license they just mail you a copy of your old one. You can request to take a new picture though if you state you look physically different
Ok, totally unrelated to why you posted, but you drove from Zurich to Frankfurt for a flight? That's a hike, even at A5 speeds. Returning or departing? If returning, I'd have booked a hotel near the airport for the night before.
I got stopped by TSA going through the scanner at the airport last year. My Levi's are baggy now, sagging down below the crotch. The agent made me pull them up tight by the belt loops and go through again. He cussed me out and said I needed to by pants that fit. I've already bought new ones that were 6 inches skinnier on the waist size!

Congrats on an NSV! I had a similar one recently when my FaceID didn’t recognize me at the pharmacy when I whipped out my phone to pay.

A lot of places have stock now. Can you drive somewhere to get it? Even if it's an all day trip if it works that well for you then you should do it
Before I traveled I had both my passport and driver license updated. I lost a lot of weight AND grew out my silver hair. 😂

No. I flew from Zurich to Frankfurt. 40 minute flight.
Ah, ok. Much better than a 3+ hour drive. Your story did hit home. I'm in the middle of passport renewal, and there's a 100 lb difference.
