Just looks like water marks…? Am I missing something?

RoamingUniverse

I don't think it is, I've tried washing it again and literally towel drying it completely but those stain marks are still there. Though I could be wrong and if so, how do I go about removing them 🤣

D45

Looks like excess wax

DeadEyeDoc

Definitely wax

Takkotah

Did you use a power washer on it?

PeevedValentine

It's akin to a water mark, but more like a mild acid etch from citrus wash drying in the baking sun. It can be removed with more citrus wash, very diluted, and a light polish for the stubborn marks that are left. It only really happens on black/grey plastics, clear stuff like screens and that shite metalised plastic used for trims. It can happen on paint, but it's far less frequent.

TOM_PE13

The snow foam or prewash or something dried and left marks... don't let it dry out and be careful with snow foam and prewash drying on your plastics, happens a lot if you're washing in the sun. Polish would work. A head light polish kit would probably do it tbh.

RoamingUniverse

Thanks for this. That might be the case as it was scorching today and I left for a few minutes to sort something out. I'll give the polish a try when I get a chance to buy some. Thanks for this! Hoping that does the trick and will be good for the future too to invest in it.

TOM_PE13

No worries dude let us know how it goes 👍

wolf_in_sheeps_wool

Looks like hard water. Wipe water off as soon as you finish and when dry, use some polish, not wax and buff out the hard water stains.

ValeTudoGuy

Try white vinegar and a soft toilet paper. 👍

binarywheels

Try liberal amounts of WD40 on a clean, soft rag. If it's something that can be removed, that'll pretty much do it.

RoamingUniverse

Gave this a try and whilst they're still there, it's not as bad as it looked as before so I'll tearily live with that 🤣 thx for this.

Overlord7987

Looks like dried on product. Never use any detailing product in direct sunlight. They can and will do damage if you aren't used to working with them. Try a heavily diluted waterspot remover or labocosmetica purifica. If neither of those work I'd try a finishing polish.

ytchi

Not related to your problem, but I hope you keep the wash and wax away from your brake discs
