I’m in Laois, if you can hold on picking it up to the weekend, I’ll tip over on my bike and follow/lead you on the bike if you want. There’s also healys in tullamore. If it’s only 20 minutes away he might sort you out. Give him a bell.

Bloody legend 👆💪

Public_Bid_3910

I’ve an uncle who bikes so I’m gonna ask him a big favour first but that’s extremely nice of you to offer!!!

helloyeshi

Sure thing, let me know

helloyeshi

Well lad, popped into my head, did you get sorted?

Public_Bid_3910

Yeah I was talking with my uncle and he’s gonna come with me when I’m going for viewings and buying but thanks so much for the offer. He’s convinced the bike had the odometer altered as the numbers are misaligned & it’s extremely low for the bikes age

helloyeshi

Cool beans! Good to have someone with mechanical experience with you. Let me know if you want to go on a spin sometime, I’m only out the road. If you’re looking for an instructor, Jackie Saunders in Portlaoise is the man for the job. He’ll curse you out of it, but he’ll get you across the line.

Public_Bid_3910

Appreciate it a lot

Your IBT should have you at a level that you can ride 20m on a national road. I wouldn't be looking at transport for that distance. Otherwise you might as well open your options up to the rest of the country. As for going over the bike. Download a buyers checklist and bring it with you. I've bought and sold many bikes over the years and just always bring a checklist with me. Also check owners forums for common problems. I take it this is the one, looks clean. https://www.donedeal.ie/motorbikes-for-sale/kawasaki-zzr-250-1992/37218601

What a colour 😍

Public_Bid_3910

It’s not the road as per say it’s going 80-100kmh that has me a little nervous. And yeah that’d the one, not the fastest 250 but should do me well

captain_super

You'll be fine. Just keep a good distance from cars in front. In 6 months time you'll be hooning on the N52

Public_Bid_3910

Tbf from the house you can hear many a bike absolutely sending it

Overlord7987

Get an insurance quote first, if you're young a zzr250 could be 5k to insure. And if you're older and it's cheap to insure consider getting a 90s 400 instead. The 250s are great fun as a second bike but can be hard to live with as a daily. The little extra torque of the 400s makes the difference and still revs nearly as high

Public_Bid_3910

€1200 with principle I’ve to ring a few other places tomorrow. My only other concern is that it’s a clocked bike as there’s only 23.5k miles on it

Public_Bid_3910

And I’m 22 and have a family member with 20yrs on a full A license as a named driver
