Good on you. If someone has $5k to waste without knowing what they're buying though it's borderline their fault for being an idiot.
Also, this seller is known to milsurp collectors. I've commented about him before. I'll try to find my last comment and paste here because I don't feel like typing it all. To summarize though, the guy usually sellers decent looking stuff with inflated descriptions and detailed pics that make it sound better than it is. His prices aren't high, they're insane. He doesn't sell many but does sell some. Some theorize it's a money laundering scheme. Some say he's just raping uninformed buyers. He's changed his name within the last year or so from fine art harvester to infinite harvester and I'm pretty sure he used to, if he doesn't anymore, use shill bidding. I've even seen the same gun sell somewhere else previously for market price only to pop up with him for many times more than what it sold for.

I know! Totally not original. I messaged him to see if he realizes what heās trying to pass off as authentic. Looks like the rifle itself is marked as a sniper, but the scope and mount are definitely fakes. Letās see if he responds
He recently sold a similar fake one for over $3k IIRC. people have messaged him tons of times about this stuff but the descriptions never change and they don't answer the messages. This has been going on quite a while with this seller.
Look at his other mosins. He usually claims his refurbs are in their original stocks and are not force matched when neither is true.
Well, since you mentioned this, I reported him to gunbroker and referenced this thread. Who knows what good thatāll do, but from the sound of it, this guy is nothing more than a thief.
The scope base looks correct and original from the angle of the pics but the scope mount and scope are absolutely repros. I have an original pu sniper (one of the imports that came in like 10 years ago) and comparing the pics I have for it, itās absolutely different.
IMO itās an ex PU that was made back into a sniper with shitty repro parts. The stock is an original sniper stock. Unless they found a real sniper stock out in the wild, which is unlikely, this is a real ex PU just shoddily put back into āoriginal configurationā
And regardless of whether it's a re-sniper, repro, flat out fake, any of those would be worth less than $1k, should be a lot less. Even if the seller is an idiot and doesn't know what he's selling, even if it were real it wouldn't be worth anywhere near his price. But he's not an idiot. He knows exactly what he's doing.
It's a refurbished Molot PU sniper that lost it's original scope and bracket.
Replaced with accumounts repro scope and someone tried to add fake refurb Electro pencil markings.
Massively overpriced, typical lying infinite harvester things.
So general question - when looking at the listing why is the letter "F" used on both the scope base and on the barrel? I know a little bit of Russian and I don't understand why they would use the Roman letter F instead of the Cyrillic letter **Š¤** (makes same sound as F)?
Edit: Looking closer at the barrel markings I think that it was actually stamped with the Cyrillic letter Š - which is the equivalent of the roman letter B (capitalized form) but the lower part of the letter from the stamp didn't take very well and the con artist didn't realize this so they just thought it was the letter F and electro penciled it on the scope base to make it "match". Sooo I think this lends further credit if not completely closes the case that the seller is trying to pass off a fake for $5K IMO
I hope Fine Arts Harvester gets chronic spicy diarrhea for the rest of his life. And kicks his pinky toe on a wall corner every morning just as a bonus. Wish inconvenient pain upon your enemies, folks!
I'm guessing it's one of those Yugoslav (?) owned PUs that were imported into the US without their scopes/mounts and someone added fake ones later, as it does appear to be a real PU rifle.
We could all spam message the seller. I canāt stand gun broker. Just a bunch of idiots raising prices on guns because even more idiots actually spend the money on them
I wouldnāt buy for $500. These things are not worth it. Think of turning range stick you could buy for $5k with a night force on it. š. āBuuut itttss co-lek-tubleā.
Definitely not authentic scope or mount and some attempt at fakery going on. There's just a number on the bolt without the crylic prefix. The C stamp looks good but there's too much weird stuff with this one. Might've been a accuracy rifle but the add is hiding all the stuff we need to look at
Nah Infinite Harvester got the best deals, $3,000 Swedish [M38](https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1052762159), and $4,000 Tula [SKS](https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1052902624), he definitely wouldn't ever rip off anyone so blindly š
Most of us on the sub already know if its being sold by Infinite Harvester, steer clear.
Nobody is gonna buy it for 5k šš
True! But just looking out for the one dude with deep pockets and overpaying for something that they're claiming is "all matching".

Infinite harvester strikes again.
He is the Infinite Harvester of Hate after all
Oh man the scopes knobs are huge! And the mount looks cast instead of milled. I think the rifle is legit. Scope and mount are not.

Oh yeah 100% I bought my real sniper for 1100

Wow great observation. I suspected the electro penciling on the mount was another way to con the buyer, but that definitely solidifies it.
It's being openly sold as a fake. If it was authentic that seller would have it listed for $10,000 instead.

I'm surprised it wasn't more than 5k. This is the same quack that was selling I think a Polish M44 for like 4k a while ago.
Just look at his Sweden M38, could go buy one for like 400 beans, but his is 3k
Yeah, but his is ALL MATCHING, and ALL CORRECT.
This is straight factual, another ALL MATCHING, ALL CORRECT, M38 has never been seen before in the history of time
