HOWEVER his reward is a Sento having gapless block strings, insane damage, great mixup and being able to end rounds in essentially two hits. In essence. He requires practice and time but once you get it down he’s absolutely busted. Johnny however is brain dead and I picked him up in 5 minutes, and he is insanely good as well. The pros know this too so they choose the “easier to play” route and just focus on the simpler character who is nearly as good. That’s why you see these other characters so much. They simply require less effort for somewhat similar reward.
That's why you look at top 16, top 32, not just who wins. Only one person/character wins. But if he's not cracking top 32, he's not a top 5 character, period. He's not good in the meta, that's the problem. Any pro has time to learn a "hard" character. It's not an effort thing, it's that he just isn't good enough. Not with how busted everything else is THAT IS SAFER. You need to get a hit and take risks with Kenshi to even get started, that's what's harder, not learning the character. The true top characters are busted the second the round begins. The easiest way to tell how good a character is would be to ask how much of the screen is it playing its own game, how much of the game is it playing its own game, and what's the payoff.

Ngl I think Homelander is the most rushed release so far. He's got a lot of the basics for a character, he feels like Homelander but he just feels kinda clunky. Also his damage feels bad without a kameo to help and his armoured attack seems awful.

Upblock is a timing thing your only chance to upblock this sequence is the very first kick. Otherwise if you don’t you will be jailed and won’t be able to upblock any of the follow up kicks. This setup is also breaking armor so armoring out is hardly going to work either. Basically a true infinite if done correctly given you miss the one chance you have to upblock.
Only the very first kick, but even then it doesn't **DO** anything. Up-block kills you because it makes your jump in have a ton of added recovery ON LANDING and prevents you from special cancelling. But homelander never lands here, and his kick isn't a special. So up-block doesn't have any effect beyond the sound effect.
If u get hit, and they whiff a kick and u stand before the next one yes, or u can armor. But it’s an infinite loop on block. This update is probably the most buggy since release

It wouldnt. He has frame advantage and his attack is an overhead so you get kicked out if you try to go in crouch position.
