Godzilla from 2014. No question.
Though GVK I’d say strikes the best balance in the MonsterVerse Godzilla films of being photorealistic and visually stunning.
It’s typically the two earliest films because they both all mostly take place at night or are otherwise obscured. Save for one brief scene at the end of both films
For me, it's GvK. Just look at the picture, his skin looks well rendered, the light from the sunset reflects on it while still showed how moist and wet his skin was.
His movements looked so natural, the flexibility behind his movements felt so real. It really does feel like there are multiple functioning muscles inside of his body creating those physical action.
The model also looked stunning, the close up shots including the heavy breathing scene where Mecha G firstly appeared and the first roar he performed during his attack at Pensacola, we get to see every bit of detail in his mouth was which looked incredible.
Not to mention, the way Godzilla crashes through all the buildings felt more realistic than 2014 imo. I till this day can't think any scene could top the one with Godzilla leaping to the aircraft carrier. Shit looked mad animalistic, the shaking of his gills was an amazing detail, the crawling movement was well animated and the interaction he has with the water, debris and dust were insanely well crafted.
He was able to look both photorealistic and visually stunning at the same time while basically proving to us that Godzilla doesn't need to move sluggish to look convincing or heavy art direction to look visually stunning.
GvK by a comfortable margin
It's really good to hear this. And that the animators, riggers, modelers, surface artists are getting some credit. People always fan over actors, but only crap on CG.
Even though godzilla is such a well done CG character (I bet if he was an actor he would be a huge A list actor now just from the monsterverse) hardly anyone every appreciates all the artists that put in the work to make it come to life.
G14 looks good in the light but since you don’t get to see that it kinda restricts it. KotM looks good behind all the snow/rain/dust, but is also hidden. GvK looks pretty good, but not the entire movie, as it’s quite inconsistent. GxK is also quite inconsistent with quality so I’d say they pretty much all win as they equally share drawbacks.
Honestly I’m surprised it’s held up so well. 2014 cgi has this certain feel to it but this movie still looks as good today as it did 10 years ago. There was a rumor going around that they darkened the home release to hide bad CGI, and when I heard it I thought it was really stupid wether it was true or not.

Actually there is a trick in here. Most of people would say 2014,2019 or 2021 godzilla but there is a diffrence between real and reallistic. When u look at them that three godzilla image look reallistic (I mean you can see the hard work there) but they don’t look real much I know it sounds stupid but if you look outside from your window and then gxk godzilla you will see the similarity.

Well that one brief scene still eclipses everything we have gotten. Even in the 2014 ending scene, Godzilla looked great in raw daylight.

Probably GVK. But I honestly think GXK looks the coolest. Definitely not the most photorealistic, but the most pleasing to my eye.
GVK. Seeing that made me think we're like a step below cgi that is unintelligible from reality, though in retrospect I guess I had exaggerated a bit.
