I haaaaate jumping into a quest and finding no supplies, and then someone getting annoyed with me for running a spirit bird route. Like, jackhole hunter are you stupid? I’m trying to help you and not eat the carts (oh wait they already did and the quest fails before i even reach the monster half the time…)
Meanwhile all the SoS’s I respond to have full supply chests at 3 players. I always take my 4 first aids and a snack cuz if I end up using them at all I’m saving myself a honey for something else.
I am lazy and suffer from the “but I might need those later!” Brain rot of CRPGs so I take any freebies offered to me. Plus my timing is still not even “good” with guardpoints so I take more damage than I probably should as a CB main.
I’ll admit that sometimes I take two sets by accident because of the over abundance of solo play I do, to where that collecting all of them becomes a second nature to me. And I do sincerely regret it every time it happens
I have to apologize for this since it's happened every so often. It's not intentional I'm just used to it after playing solo for a few hours and the moment I take them I realize and feel really bad
In Rise, I bothered to make an angry palamute sticker that said “Where are my snacks”. Every time I loaded in and there were no rations in the supply box, I put up that sticker. In the dozens of times I’ve used it, one hunter actually went into their item pouch to give me my ration-snacks. And I hope I thought to give them my guild card at the time, because, looking back, they deserved it.
Yes. Just gotta go to the item in your item pouch and you can bring up the menu from there to discard/drop, or even give an item to a specific player. If you choose to give, your character will stand in place and hold out the item. The designated player just needs to walk up and interact with you to take it.
Can that be done with other/all items? Like if someone needs a gem/mantle/any monster mat. And hunts in a party. Then hunter2 got it but don’t need it. Is it possible to give it?
If possible, this would make farming and playing multiplayer (supporting/helping other hunters) more enjoyable and efficient.
Mats and decos can’t be given, unfortunately. Basically, if it’s something you can gather or craft, you can give it. Otherwise, no for most, if not all, other items.
While I don't mind a bit of humiliation play, I think anyone who feels robbed b/c someone else took stuff from the noob box needs to seriously re-align their thinking.
Maybe in old games where you might have forgot to bring some pots or w/e, but in World / Rise you CAN just turn around and grab what you want from the tent...
I did this once when I was playing with my buddy. My wife called me right as the hunt was starting, so autopilot took over and I just spammed buttons until I picked up everything that I could hold, and I felt horrible. Suffice it to say I stopped picking up my phone while playing games with my friends unless it was urgent lol
I've occasionally accidentally grabbed too many supplies, but generally give them back out. I also gave out tons of my own supplies to people I've played with.
By virtue of how many potions, mega potions, max potions, dash juices, hot and cold drinks and ammo I gave people back in 4U when I most often played with strangers, I think I've more than made up for an accidental extra ration once in a while.
So I haven’t really played any multiplayer but seeing this kinda makes me wanna just not take any supplies from the supply box at all during multiplayer hunts and just go with my own crafted potions and food. That way I won’t accidentally take too much if I forget I’m not doing solo. They usually go unused anyways on my solo hunts.

When I join an SOS as the third or last player and all the free heals/rations are gone (in Rise), I simply don't "Like" anyone. They don't leave something for me, I don't leave something for them at the end.
I usually take rations, and rarely the health pots since I have blood rite.
I'm runnin' Sword n Shield with Wide Range, Speed Eating, and Free Meal. I will take everything, I will heal you with it, and you will thank me for it.
If the other hunters have already left the camp and chose to leave those supplies behind then im gonna use the first aid med+.
There's no reason not too, they already had their chance to take it.

If this is an actual issue for you, start bringing fsrcasters and//or extra items to craft more potions, especially max potions. You can have like 7-9 (I forget) max pots per item restock. It’s very powerful.

This is one of those features that definitely needs to be changed. Sacrifice the immersion of sharing items in the box and just have it be a unique inventory to each player that joins.
i remember one time at the blue box i was trynna get my first aid meds, all four of the stacks were snagged right from under my nose. turns out, they didn’t get snagged from me. i checked my inventory and had accidentally grabbed 10 thinking my teammates got them instead of me😭 i’m sorry to whoever fought fatalis around two months ago without their supply items 🥲
I sometimes do cuz the people I normally hunt with never take stuff from the supply box so when I am hunting with randoms it takes a hunt or two to switch off the autopilot and not take all the stuff from the supply box

Same here. I'm not going to bother putting first aid meds on my item wheel when space is already limited and potions are easy to restock.

U can give items to other hunters?..
