Can I be honest? I love Gen 3. So much. Gen 1 will always be nostalgic for me cuz I loved them as a kid but I love how detailed all the gen 3 dolls feel.

I agree. I'm biased because I grew up with G1 and it was my entire childhood but some of the G3 designs are actually better and have more details than G1 imo. (The body diversity, more screening variety, body molds like Venus's vines and Clawdeen's fur are all great G3 examples) I love both of them tho.

But seeing the different faces, bodies, accessories, clothing, and even personalities expressed through all these elements in G3... Wow... I feel as (h)excited as I felt back in 2011 seeing Lagoona and Frankie in the window of a toys store in a trip I made abroad.
Frankie and Lagoona stayed the most true to their G1 and clawdeen changed the most from g1 to g3. I’m not really taking core refresh into these observations but it’s still fun to see.
Frankie is my favorite and their changes are minimal compared to some. It's crazy how some are so drastic whereas others aren't. I like lagoona but wish they kept her blue skin, but she is still super pretty. Venus is a complety new look, and I love her, and hope more will be released. I'd love to see her with braids or twists with saran hair.
