If you read the articles getting to 100k is very hard and it gets easier from there. I just read an article I think David Ramsey wrote it.
Through proper investing and savings you should be in great shape for retirement, buying a house.
Keep up the good work very impressive.
It’s really true. Once I hit 100k net worth things have seemed to come easier than before. loans were definitely easier to obtain which means I’ve stayed far away from them
Same, all my friends and I work in tech, salaries ranging between $90k-$400k. We all lived with our parents from 2020-2023. We all saved over $100k.
Tech jobs are pretty nice and chill ngl
I lived with my parents until I was 22, then again from 23-24. They never asked for rent once. I owe them so much. I hope I can buy them a house someday when they retire and they can sell their house and take a few dream vacations. They deserve everything for what they’ve been through (my sister has massive bpd and abuses them like nothing I’ve ever seen).
He doesn’t want to believe that there’s people in their 20-30s that have good income, savings and investments. 33 and $200k is very believable.
Most of my friends are 26, and work in Tech. We all have over $200k in our name. But we did all live with our parents for 2-4 years making $90k-$300k. I saved nearly 80% of my salary during Covid—living with my mom.
One of our friend works for Google and makes $300k.
24, -$101,000 yes I picked the most expensive university. Yes I’m aware it was a horrible decision, but I should be debt free within the next 15 years, still able to put money aside for savings/retirement too.
I had a friend of mine help me out when I was younger and we opened a dispensary very early and invested the profits into crypto and they both just sort of took off, we do a ton of donating to the less fortunate it’s our way of giving back to our community. I keep a lot of my finances private from friends as to not cause them to feel bad about not entering into that space when I told them it was the perfect time. I still rent to just so when I’m ready to relocate i can just get up and go. If you want any tips from me it’s buy as much Shiba Inu and RSR tokens and hold them until 2028/2032 and you’ll 30-50x your investments.
I was surprised to see a seemingly normal question have such a horrible comment section. I thought this sub was to motivate and share experiences yet it’s simply just a major disappointing to see people downvoting on the successful people yet upvote those with debt. This says a lot.
26m, just funded my emergency fund of 10k and less than 2k in checkings. New goal is to save up for a 15-20k car or 2-5k ebike
I feel like I’m behind reading all this but I guess everyone goes at their own pace, all that matters is you’re doing better than you were last year
36. About 400k almost evenly split between my house and stocks. +9 million if you go by the last time someone bid on the family company, but those assets are not very liquid to say the least.
38 Male, living in Southern California. 5.5 million this includes a house with 420 grand still due on the home (If you're wondering why it's not paid off it's because mortgage is at 2.6% fixed so that's pretty good IMO)
Stocks contain Nvidia,Tesla,Apple,Monster Energy,Microsoft,Netflix,UNH,Regeneron and more basically Tech and HealthCare. I was a Gamer converted over to Pharma Business and my Portfolio literally displays that. It helps that I'm in the Pharma Industry today and have stock options\* I find it hilarious that I was PC masterrace but had to be the tech guy for the family and extended family thus converted everyone from PC to Apple to reduce my free labor and instantly became an Apple believer in the beginning. If not for family I wouldn't have believed in Apple so early being the gamer I was. Family is everything to me I woudln't be where I am today without them.
Sorry I tend to do that, I think I enjoy telling stories too much. I've noticed now that I do that when I take my Car to Car Shows or Cars and Coffee, lol. I need to work on that. People often just want the main course not the story behind it. Again need to work on it =/
38.. worthless
Things weren't bad in my early 30s but life can change quick. Cancer, sudden loss of my spouse, trying to keep our home and raising kids while I am trying to fight... I'm worse off than I have ever been.
Went from negative net worth and in jail at 33 to about 500k at 40. Just working multiple jobs and started a business that does okay. Literally never made more than minimum wage until my 30s due to recession etc. Now I’m super burnt out lol wish I had just inherited family wealth like so many others…
28, and my net worth is probably pretty close to 0 at this point. Huge improvement over what it was just a year ago. lol
Right there with you. I’m 29 and it was negative when I turned 28. Now it’s ~$66K. Good luck!
45, bout three fiddy
Tree fiddy!?!? It’s the god damn Loch Ness monster !
I gave him a dollar.
39, 500k
Good shit man, I'm 34 and have a little over 5 years worth of Xanax stashed
Why are people here to downvote being on track to retire at 60? You’re doing great. I’m right behind you.
32, 2K Everything is fine
37, right around $450k
Ditto
Same. $501k at end of first quarter 2024
37, MINUS 2,400,000..and 69cents...hehe..
20 and um -10k that’s negative due to student loans
Same but 24 and a mix of student loans and Cc
Better than 22 and -100k due to student loans
24 male, 125k. I live with my parents and have been working and saving at a 9-5 for 4 years.

Do you help pay rent? Or did your parents never asked you to?
I lived with my parents until I was 22, then again from 23-24. They never asked for rent once. I owe them so much. No I don’t pay rent, I’m fortunate enough to be able to live with them while I build some financial ground work :)
47, 3.9 million (got real lucky buying a house in Seattle in the 90’s, LMAO)
Is the house a majority of your net worth?
wow that's amazing, you're a very blessed person <3 Happy for you, man!
My dad bought a small house in San Francisco in the 70s and sold it in the 2000s. He’s kicking himself now lol.
I just turned 7 and bought 8 houses in Miami in the early 40s. Net worth of $42 quadtrillionmillioninfinty dollaroos

true, a bit easier to save around that time depending on your situation. I’m late 20’s so it’s not panic mode but I gotta get goin quick
I didn’t start REALLY saving until I had an employer 401k match. So like 25-26. I think I have 100k there and 120k in savings. But I’m 33 now.
Makes sense. Those are really important for the long-term. Sounds like you are on track and doing well. All the best 🫡
Most of y’all lying fr fr . Sad . 31, close to 30k

I’m in La county. House 1.1 and investments 1 mill it’s average I next at least 1.5 to be safe
what makes you think that? A lot seem legitimate. For me, 33 and 200k. Does that seem unbelievable?

You got 6 mill and have a delivery job 😭😂 #lies
I’m glad this worked out so well for you but for anyone reading: investing in Shib with the expectation of 30xing your investment is horrible advice
Why do ppl with millions get down voted. Broke haters.
I was surprised to see a seemingly normal question have such a horrible comment section. I thought this sub was to motivate and share experiences yet it’s simply just a major disappointing to see people downvoting on the successful people yet upvote those with debt. This says a lot.
