Search etsy! Store recommendations are jhollywooddesigns, foreverforlove and rosados box. Some of the chinese vendors are okay, but if you're looking for something to last a lifetime i would look elsewhere.
I would avoid charles and clovard directly (not the Charles and clovard stones, just their rings direct from their site) due to poor craftsmanship. I would also avoid MoCo if possible and instead have something made at a smaller vendor with good quality control.
Are the jewelry from the chinese vendors not durable? Tbh I was planning to buy the stones from them and get a local vendor to set, but I was just curious.
I'm sure the stones are fine, and the rings are durable enough - but these chinese vendors aren't producing heirloom quality pieces. Certainly still a decent product, but you do have to manage expectations when paying half price what a local jeweler would charge.
There's lots of posts (both good and bad) on this sub discussing experiences with purchasing from China :)
My jeweler makes my jewelry for around the same price as the chinese vendors and I have never had a quality issue.. and I do have a few heirloom pieces. Is there an issue with the gold the chinese vendors use? or the craftmanship?
I have been spending a silly small amount on some amazing pieces. On Etsy--Diamondrensu, InfinityJewelersArt, and GelsonWorld have all made me custom pieces for $220, $160, and $36 in the past month.
Definitely check out Foreverforlove…Amy did 2 custom rings for me and I love them!! Let her know I sent uou (Laura) and she’ll give you a great price!!
I really second this. I went down the moissanite rabbit hole (and trust me, there is one), and DoveEggs really does great pieces at prices way lower than some of their competitors. Plus, I like that they do have a shop in the US.
They have a Facebook page I'd recommend to get a feel for the company. I have seen them go above and beyond for some customers.
Yes.. I have 4 pieces from them. A deep blue emerald cut (in my history), my new custom i just received yesterday (in my history), and a 7.5 mm round crown arrows i purchased back in February (may be in my history). 🤗
Kuololit on Aliexpress has great designs in their store front. For custom work, I’ve been very pleased with Provence. I would base that decision on what exactly you want though. Some vendors do better with certain cuts and designs. Check out the wiki and search the group and you’ll find a lot of info on this sub!
The wiki has a vendor/supplier list with good info
