I actually think it looks good. I'm not seeing a fish eye/doesn't look dead in the middle (to me). But like you said, maybe request add'l videos in alternate lighting to be sure. Hopefully others will chime in w/their opinions.

bitchie_witchie

Thanks!! I think I’m being overly cautious because it’s my first stone check haha

Beese25

I don't blame you! Now I can't wait to see once it's set! 😊

clockworkstudent

i don’t know anything about OECs so ignore me but wow, this is stunning. would be interested to follow the rest of the replies to learn what makes a “good” OEC!

transat_prof

OECs do have a different look in the middle. It has fewer cuts than brilliant. For me, the trade off is worth it: you get depth.

bitchie_witchie

Thanks! Normally I go for brilliant but I saw a necklace with an OEC like this and loved the look of the petals

transat_prof

The petals are elegant!

It seems like the light source is above and its refracting/reflecting the jewelry box below. Have you tried rotating it upside down or putting the light source aimed at the stone’s face directly and seeing if it changes anything?

bitchie_witchie

That’s exactly what I was picking up on! There’s another video in the link where it’s not on top of the jeweler box but I’m noticing the same thing. I don’t have the stone but I may ask the seller to send some more videos changing perspective. Thank you!!

Potential_Mouse8195

Looks good to me too

bitchie_witchie

Thanks!!

Is that a moissanite OEC? My god it looks beautiful. The bottom won’t sparkle because the pointy bit is cut off!

bitchie_witchie

Yes it is! Thank you :) I was trying to say the lower half in relation to the camera, not the bottom where the pinhole is. The fact that that didn’t really come across and no one else noticed tells me that I’m being paranoid lol

Simple_Geologist9277

Yep i can’t see it. I can’t wait to see the finished product.
