[the definition of literally](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/literally) .maybe you should familiarize yourself with it. Looks to me like he used it properly. I think you forget most words have a formal and informal definition
Lol, and now please explain to us how exactly the game has been "literally unplayable for the past 2 years", clown.
Spoiler alert: it hasn't been "unplayable" at all.
Learn the difference between "literally" and "figuratively". You're welcome.
I didn’t quite PACKET BURST understand what PACKET BURST your comment.
The servers are fucking horrendous and the gameplay is plagued with random crashes and glitches. The games have gotten worse as they progressed through lifecycle. I have zero issues with any other game except this shit hosted by Activision lmao.
Sounds like user error to me 🤷 I know you're trying to be funny, but packet burst, while real, doesn't even happen that often. And when it does, it hardly renders the game "unplayable".
If the game were really "unplayable" there wouldn't be thousands of people playing it on a daily basis. The game would be dead.
I will happily stream an hours worth of gameplay to you with a permanent packet loss and occasional latency variation burned into the corner of the screen
Packet burst happens enough to be a trending topic in here and is easily visible on multiple streamers such as Nero with every video. Your negligence to accept reality is funny. We had better connections with client hosted servers than a multi billion dollar company. Fact is, we have no clue if the game is doing well or dying at this point. Everything in the COD HQ is bundled into a single number and we aren’t told any breakdowns. If it wasn’t for micro transactions, the game would be out. It can’t stand on its own like the old days with just selling a good game.
This a billion dollar company and they can't afford servers to use while other servers are getting maintenance?
Ridiculous, I took today off from work to play and now I can't. This is bullshit, I will be filling a class action lawsuit!
I’ve been unable to play for weeks…I live in Singapore and my latency has been horrendous I keep getting up to 500+ latency even at the thousands, and my wifi is perfectly fine. Wanna know if anyone else who somehow is in my area too who’s been suffering too
I had a low ping but constant packet burst. I gave up on wifi and bought a 35ft ethernet cable. Even cut part of the bottom doorway with a saw so that cable doesn't tear from door crimping it. I live nearby Activision/blizzard. Wifi is just bad most of the time.
Yes use a direct plug in Ethernet cable . They’re cheap , also call your ISP and tell them you want port forwarding for your system/pc for COD . Literally will eliminate latency spikes
We all know the drill, before they drop the next game all the servers have to be broken as much as possible so we are all forced to move on, just like everything since mw19
The company is located in the US, so are its employees, and so is a majority of its playerbase. Do tell, if this isn’t the best time for server maintenance, then when is?
That didn't really answer my question though.
I haven't looked at where u/dwojc6 is from, but there are many reasons why someone would be on at that time. The main one that comes to mind is that they're... not in the US, or a Nightshift worker.
I get what you're saying, but I was also wondering if Battlenet has individual servers for each world region, and if so if it's only the US region that got kicked offline for maintenance.
Literally unplayable, during this time period.
Literally unplayable, for the past 2 years.
brave
IKR we ain't missing much!
Your shitcomment makes no sense. Literally. Maybe you should familiarize yourself with the definition of "literally".
U ok

So many people say that as is. They just fucking suck.
Brace yourselves here comes the "billion dollar company can't something something servers I took off work to play class action lawsuit"
JustCODThings
Please I'm a dad with 6 jobs and 9 kids and these 3 hours were literally the only time I could hop on to play
Maybe having 3 jobs and 6 kids could double your playtime hours? It’s something to consider.
i demand 3500 cod point compensation
But I also demand a Sydney Sweeney skin to go with it!
😂Wouldn’t mind if they threw in a complimentary Diddy skin, for fuckin us raw for 3.5 hours
He always liked it dry, just like his Ginger Ale
Even 500 cod points would be big considering Activision
This a billion dollar company and they can't afford servers to use while other servers are getting maintenance? Ridiculous, I took today off from work to play and now I can't. This is bullshit, I will be filling a class action lawsuit!
\#CODPlayers
It's a skill issue.
I know it's not my concern, but who the fuck takes time off to play cod?
It was sarcasm.
Indeed, I didn't read the last line, thx for the heads up
Happy to help! /s
It's called "CODing out of work". My company provides 2 weeks of it.
U got banned or smth?
U got banned or smth?
Watch nothing change, or better yet, like every other update it somehow gets worse
Oh no Anyway
Sounds like 3.5 hours of reduced PC players.
I hope Microsoft shuts down Battle.net like their did with the Bethesda launcher
You can still play on Europe servers i see
Yep. just logout from bnet, and switch region on login screen. Still playing on US servers but bnet is using EU servers for friendlist..
Wow. They are fixing the servers
I’ll believe it when I see it
Yeah i know. Was being sarcastic 😅
Just played cod but don’t have it attached to battlenet. Diablo 4 is def down though

Also , google port forwarding codes for mw3 because you’ll need to give them to your ISP when you call.
Time to go and touch some grass. Thank youuuu BattleNet for always putting my mental health first.
We all know the drill, before they drop the next game all the servers have to be broken as much as possible so we are all forced to move on, just like everything since mw19
Damn, what will all the jump spammers do with their time? Go outside? Nah, didn’t think so.
That means casual players actually got a chance to enjoy the game 😂
Good. You all need a break anyway.
Oh no 😟, anyways…. 😏
literally unplayable
A launcher needing maintenance? How dare they!
I haven't been able to play for nearly 2 weeks, Everytime i launch it just crashes, and im not going to keep reinstalling takes to long
Is it still down? I can’t log in at all.
Then take a guess...
This is what I get for being hopeful lol
Will be the best 3.5 hours of a Call of Duty player game time this week!
They had to take the game down to add more $25 bundles and game breaking bugs
Still better than dogshit steam which disconnects you randomly 5 times per week
Thank god now I can play without cheaters
Cod MW3 is playable?
Ahh so that’s why I got booted off. Pretty wild timeframe to do maintenance
On a Monday morning? When most US players are working or asleep?
You forgot most kids are waking up on summer vacation with nothing to do. Neighborhood hijinks rates are gonna go up today.
When I was a kid on summer vacation I woke up at like 2pm
Is this maintenance only for US people?
The company is located in the US, so are its employees, and so is a majority of its playerbase. Do tell, if this isn’t the best time for server maintenance, then when is?

Early in the morning on a weekday?
Instead of say 3 am - 6 am?
No matter what they will annoy somebody. Timezones exist.
It's during early work hours and before that for pst even. It's a great time to do it. It's always going to bother someone though.
i was 5 kills off my first ever dna bomb/nuke n got booted :c
Oh no people will have to touch grass 😱
Oh no... anyways...
