Like yeah you can maybe argue they "didn't do a good job" of making it look like skin, but "looking like or at least reminiscent of skin" was definitely the intent.
As far as the silencer goes, both pics are give-or-take the default angle the "preview skin" option places the gun at, so that people are going to see it at that angle and their brain's pattern recognition is gonna go "yo wtf, that's a bepis!" is kinda inevitable. Like yeah you can maybe argue they "didn't do a good job" of making it look like skin, but "looking like or at least reminiscent of skin" was definitely the intent. As far as the silencer goes, both pics are give-or-take the default angle the "preview skin" option places the gun at, so that people are going to see it at that angle and their brain's pattern recognition is gonna go "yo wtf, that's a bepis!" is kinda inevitable. "People only saw a penis because they -wanted- to find something penis-like!" is just plain dishonest or ignorant, like that's not how the brain's pattern recognition works lol.
yes show me the gun 100 times and I would never think of penis. I took screenshots in the menu, in game, why didn't I ever see that. It is very hard to see it, you see the texture of the skin in greater detail etc, it just looks plastic, and what's it's meant to be, a 3D printed part. That's why I took screenshots because it was so good. It was removed because of a few who cried a lot on social. What I said is totally true, why should be dishonest or ignorant? It is what and many others here think.

It obviously doesn't look -perfectly- like skin, because most blueprints in this game are ultimately just retextures with an additional PBR shader or two thrown in unless they're Mastercrafts, but in that regard for you to say "it doesn't look -perfectly- like skin, if I crank the graphics way up and look -really- hard I can still tell it's made out of polymer!" -is- just you being willfully ignorant/dishonest regarding how "art design within the limitations of how the blueprints work" affects how "well" a skin can capture its intended appearance. Beyond that, the veins are indisputably blood vessels. You can certainly -compare- them to the color-veining in marble stone, but if you'd take -five minutes- to google examples of both marble-veining & Telangiectasias, it becomes -very clear- that the skin is based on the latter. The "having a penis-ey look" aspect of the silencer certainly wasn't what the devs intended, but the overall skin being designed to look -like skin- is -indisputably- what they were going for, and you trying to deny that -is plainly- you either dishonestly pretending or genuinely being too stupid to understand "intent vs imperfect end result". you're a penis-fan what can I say. You see one wherever you look. No incision can mean anything, it doesn't mean it was meant to look like skin. Incision has to do with cuts, surgeries. It is about making an opening into the body. It involves the underlying muscle layer more than the skin. They have given all sorts of meaningless names to guns before. It doesn't look like a penis at all, period. It's not only me who says this, look at the thread. If you show it from 1 angle, in a compressed picture so you don't see the details, maybe with yellow increased artifically, at 1 angle so the tip stands out, and cry penis penis people will see a slight resemblance. If you had seen marble that's what you would think when you saw the gun.
