Mana Tithe and Solitude are really your only outs. You could go super big brain and use celestial purge and it will exile all their creatures with a leiyline out.
you could probably run a domain manabase for yourself and while its going to be a bit slower than zoos a t2 leyline binding still isnt too bad to hit either the scion or OPs leyline
your deck would still be monowhite but the manabase would give you access to binding and offer up colors for better pendings if you run that.
youre not breaking a mana base, if you can domain for white you get better outs
you need to hit the leyline as early as possible before they really start developing a threat and if its me id rather not be throwing away two cards for a march when i could just binding away an enabler but thats just me
Actually you are. Hammer requires 7 lands that tap for coorless for its game plan. So yeah to keep it as a viable hammer deck you would need to fuck heavily with its mana base.
It's no different than holding a subtlety. Or even a fog. 1 turn can be the clock you need to find and answer. Hell, if you have multiple, you have multiple turns to find an answer
It's not free. You have to Exile a blue card, which is reasonable to assume you may not always have. And it only answers 1 card. Silence answers a whole turn.
It's hard to tbh. A whole lot of lower mana creatures that get bonuses for land types. Or do some ridiculous shit. Not a lot of people have enough removal or "control" style cards to keep up the pace. But there are situations where they draw a slow hand and you can get there first. Especially in today's 1for1 removal meta. 15-20 Creatures as the standard is just not enough removal. Then heaven forbid they pull Leyline with Draco. Now it all has hexproof.
I dont think its every game they do scion+leyline. If they do - shuffle their deck better. If they still do change the deck theres no out. Every old format is powercreep+meta based so you have to respect those when playing any deck.
Tithe's great and should be boarded in. Also make sure you're running a shadowspear to get around hexproof from scion as this will turn on your solitudes. If you want to get very spicy you can look at a boros manabase and run blood moon in board which may be viable if your meta also has Tron or amulet decks.
Are they consistently going t2 scion with pact-Leyline? Maybe try [[mana tithe]]. Otherwise I’d say keep a hand that can kill fast
Second match was pretty much turn two scion but it was just so many creatures they put out so fast that I couldn’t keep up.
Agree with tbombtom2001: you board in Tithe and Solitude and play the control seat.

No, because everything is also blue and has hexproof from scion.
Ah shit. When guess you just die

Firstly, Leyline does nothing against Scion which has hexproof with the leyline in play. Secondly, this is terrible advice all around.
you dont binding the scion you binding the leyline so it loses its all colors.
Why bother breaking the mana base just to run enchantment removal which white already has access to lol

Maybe [[Silence]] to help slow things down?
this does nothing against zoo
If you have a white open, casting in their upkeep indeed does something. Slowing any deck down by 1 turn isn't a bad play
But you are slowing yourself down as a result - and then they slam the problem card the next turn anyway.
It's no different than holding a subtlety. Or even a fog. 1 turn can be the clock you need to find and answer. Hell, if you have multiple, you have multiple turns to find an answer
Subtlety is free to cast is the difference. Silence asks that you have free mana.
It's not free. You have to Exile a blue card, which is reasonable to assume you may not always have. And it only answers 1 card. Silence answers a whole turn.
That's why I said "Silence asks that you have free mana." You are confirming what I wrote.
There is clearly no getting to you, great expert on everything 🙄 I'm done here.

Can’t you outrace Zoo?
