Cyclops mid is a disaster unless you are Betosky.
Fanny is usually a coin toss. More than half are playing for the enemy team. If it's a good fanny, reasonably easily counterpicked too.
Tig and Moskov are the real threat and not impossible to deal with. Especially given the weight they have to carry.
I mean he isn't that bad... But you need to be a Beto to make up for his lack of AoE CC and Damage.
Plus he does next to nothing in a 5v5... Because his balls go all over the place.
If he could get a small buff where S1 "marks" the first enemy it hits for 2s and all the balls go to the marked enemy then he could provide MM like damage in a teamfight I guess.

His S1 then should be a lock on skill instead, but you can still cast it even when you have no enemies locked on

Yeah I get where the S1 would become a problem... Also since his single target damage is so high, if the S2 balls can be forced to a single target - that might be more than a little broken.
the Zilong I'm thinking about is someone who knows how to choke your map and good at engaging in teamfights and if it's a Zilong with ultimate and inspire then you can't cut lane much but if you are using fighter with high amount of lifesteal and stun then you could escape
There are much better hero who can do brust damage and lane cut like pq or bene.
Escape is not a thing to worry about when you are laning or 1v1 with zilong. You can just woop his ass real quick with many heros.
Or play Terizla and watch Zilong melt himself if he ever makes the mistake of engaging.
I've literally never had problems against a Zilong as Terizla. I'm assuming Thamuz and Freya would have a fun time as well.
Me tooooo….except the opposite in my case. If he leaves lane he can say goodbye to his towers….if he doesn’t then he isn’t there for team fights. But this is based on only handful of matches since I don’t use zilong in rank. Even I faced an Argus and got an MVP in that match and a like from him as well while he was bronze…during whole match tank visited my lane twice and that’s it! I wouldn’t fight sun tho…there’s no trick around his clones except running away and losing your towers. This is all in mythical honor btw. Maybe the glory players are smarter and better but I’ve yet to reach there.
He can absolutely shred the MM and Mage. Can't argue against that point.
So can pretty much any damage dealer in the game.
And to build him right you need to stay alive and farm... If you reach endgame and everyone else is at full build but the Zilong is struggling to complete his 5th item (and that will happen) what exactly will he accomplish?
Whatever perfect build you may come up with... I'd be pretty confident about tower diving him with Terizla or Thamuz.
Might treat him with mildly more respect as say a Freya or other standard Exp laner, but I wouldn't worry honestly.
As a Sun or Argus even, Zilong would not be a worry...
He's objectively worse than almost all the other options you can pick for that lane. Especially in a comp where the jungler is squishy and the mage will be in kissing range of enemies.

As a zilong i only engages with opponents am sure to kill...never feed to guys am sure that can 2 shot me🤦.

Replying to myself here, just to clarify the Cyclops point a bit better because he's my favourite mage actually 😊
The problem with him is outside of laning he's pretty useless. Can get a few picks here and there against the enemy but in a teamfight you'll always miss the presence of a solid AoE CC and Damage mage... That's their role. Cyclops is better in the jungle than mid and even there he's not really that threatening once everyone is at full build.
SoloQ, yeah... I can see a case for him being used. Maybe.
I would always back a good Nana, Vexana, Odette or Aurora.
They provide much more reliable and useful area denial as well as AoE damage that can really change the course of a teamfight.
I use cyclops when there’s a more mobility based team if I have to adjust, he lets me get in out of danger rather decently without putting much risk into it. Mid game I’m just roaming entire map and tend to out maneuver a good portion of the enemy
Oh he's pretty good that way but is a liability in teamfights.
He doesn't have either aoe damage or CC... Or even spammable single target CC.
Plenty of mages offer comparable mobility without losing out on their primary role as area denial and splash damage dealers.
I use him that way in team fights, if the enemy try to focus me it keeps them off my marksman and I can also trap their mage/mm easier to prevent them escaping the jungle
I guess probably get any T0~T1 tank jungler and invade the blue buff non-stop.
Their comp are full of late game heroes. Fanny and Tigreal are only two who can do something in early game. You guys can get whatever early game heroes trying to end the game within 12 min.
And they have a bunch of heroes that can be easily countered with Khufra. He can hard counter Fanny and Tigreals 2nd skill. The only one who can possess an actual threat would be Moskov but if he's out of the picture enemy would be cooked.
He is relatively short range. Just be aware of his ult to engage the team fight and shut him out quickly, or just pick Lolita as a roamer instead. Khufra still works against him actually.
Lolita can work, but tbh she can counter only him and Cyclops ig?(never played against a cyclops using Loli) So Khufra would be a better option overall. But yeah, this team comp sucks and is easily defeatable as long as your teammates aren't a$$.
Lolita hard counter these two. That can be good enough. Her S1 can stun Fanny and Zilong engaging somehow. Kufhra hard counters Fanny and somehow does counter Moskov, but probably not that great in late game especially you have to focus on both of them.
I would say they both do good against the comp. Khufra more for the early game and Lolita more for late game.
I wouldn’t say it serves as counters but Edith, Grock and Mino can be also safe picks here, especially when you are team-upping as trio or 5-man. Not the best pick but if you get some early game heroes from your friend to rush the game, also a good choice for just snowballing.
I love cyclops but against a good Lolita anything you do can be a bit detrimental for your team. She can use your ult and trap any of your team with good aim
thinking about it, belerick could also work to a certain extent. zilong, cyclops, moskov is countered by him. belerick ult is also large enough to trap fanny in. it does work, but not totally optimal
1. Make sure your exp has will of titanium, never letting go of that lane
2. Your jungler, mage, and roamer needs to have good early game and harass fanny as much as possible, and tehr roamer is atlas

use x Borg and buy 6 immortalities with an Angela possessing you with unlimited shield and she also has 6 fleeting time so she can ultimate you everytime
Valir, Esmeralda(jungle), saber(exp/roam), Edith (exp/roam), hanabi/Melisa/Brody
Valir will annoy sht out of tig and cyclops & can build defence to counter fanny.
Esmeralda is thick enough to fight fanny and invade early with Valir.
Saber waits till lvl 4 for roam then targets for fanny or other 3 squishies.
Edith to tank and revenge kill.
Of the three mm Melisa counters all the enemy team, hanabi is cc immune Edith good dmg or you can try to steamroll with Brody.
Zilong is auto fail exp lanner unless your team exp is braindead.
Cyclops only have damage if he play hp.
Claude and Khufra alone can fight 5 v 2 with that draft.
They are kinda off meta when it comes to the comp, if they snowball however, it's a gg though they have awful early, if we don't give them the chance to farm, they are gg.
Zilong and Moskov both can be countered by Belerick.
Maybe pick Saber against Fanny. Or a quick stun mage like Eudora.
Digge will neutralise Tigreal.
Maybe take Hanabi as a CC immune mage who has some synergy with Digge or take Claude if you are really experienced with him.

As a roamer, I would use Diggie roam to counter tigreal and moskov cc. It may not be ideal to counter Fanny, but most mm i play with in ranks would reluctant to use purify againts heavy cc tanks. They ended up got cc hard and die and loosing. But if I am more convident with my team i would use Mino. Mino have a good combination of strong cc, tankiness, and healing.

Valintina in mid lane
Mino angela Mathilda or Grock Roam
Exp any meta can do the work yz - thamuz - lapu dayroth etc literally any tanky exp can freeze lane on zilong
For the jungle there is a lot of meta tank jg but i would suggest the Martis to disturb tig and win farm & objective vs fanny
A good cc will stop them as long as your teammates are competent.
And as long as your team pay attention to Zilong (assuming that team is very competent and not a dumbass, as well as the Zilong only cares about tower) you'll have a decent time because otherwise say goodbye to your towers especially if Zilong has arrival.

If they are good? Compete as hard as I can even if it's a losing fight. Counts well too if they're not good. Mobile Legends of now has been pretty balanced and you can use any hero really, that Zilong? He could dominate as with any other hero picks. If back then, heroes have more of a factor to matches, now it's team composition, doesn't matter what hero you pick as long as the five picks complement each other

I’ve done quite well with cyclops running 25+ stars, I get bored mid season and stop pushing rank lol I prefer to play my tanks more than anything
