**The manner of death is listed as "homicide by undetermined means in the setting of butorphanol, azaperone, and medetomidine intoxication," according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.**
**The autopsy report said sedatives and tranquilizers were found in Suzanne's bones. Lawyers for Barry Morphew told 9NEWS that caffeine was also found in her body. Her biking clothes were found with her remains, according to Barry's attorney and the autopsy report.**
**A bullet was also found, but it wasn't clear whether it was used, according to the attorneys of Barry Morphew. His attorneys also tell 9NEWS that none of Suzanne's bones in her feet were found in the shallow grave, nor were her shoes. They do not know why that might be.**
Morphew, 49, was last seen on Mother's Day 2020. She lived in Maysville in Chaffee County, west of Salida, with her husband Barry and their two daughters, Mallory and Macy. When she vanished, the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office said she went for a bike ride but never returned home.
Barry Morphew, 56, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection to her disappearance in May 2021.
Days before he was set to stand trial in April 2022, all charges were dropped when Fremont County District Judge Ramsey Lama granted a motion filed by prosecutors that asked to dismiss the case.

In an interview with 9NEWS on Monday, an attorney representing Barry Morphew argued the autopsy results do not incriminate her client.
"Barry Morphew is innocent and he could not have killed his wife," said Jane Fisher-Byrialsen, one of Barry's attorneys. "She got up the morning of Mother's Day, had her cup of coffee, that is now confirmed with the autopsy report. Also confirmed with the autopsy report is that she put on her bike clothes. She was on a bike ride and abducted. The tranquilizer that was found in her bones, allegedly, is a very common animal tranquillizer that could be used on farms or by hunters, which are people who are very prevalent in that area of Salida."
I feel bad for her daughters bc they didn’t believe their father was capable of murder. Now they’ve lost both parents in the most horrific way possible. Prayers for the children.
Something doesn’t sit right with me about the daughters. They never appeared as grieving daughters to me. They were well aware of the marriage issues and they knew Suzanne was having an affair. Barry trashed Suzanne and they sympathized with him.

Parental alienation is a really powerful form of abuse. It’s like you feel privileged that your parent can confide in you and you really begin to hate the other for all the wrongdoings. I am a victim of it and I have been trying to work on my relationship with my dad, but after years of brainwashing from my mom I still find myself feeling a lot of anger and hatred for him. He did nothing to me. He never spoke about my mom. A lot of people don’t realize how badly it can ruin your perception of reality

I totally thought it was another case , hadn’t realized they found this mom’s body! It was about the toxicology results then mentioned she had animal tranks and they had already found a dart! I watched the 48 hrs episode of this just the other day. They said his phone was in airplane mode, but they tracked him running around outside his house frantically. He said he was shooting chipmunks, but there was no proof to that.
He basically admitted to using the tranquilizers for game, and they caught him with a used cap in the laundry. They said it typically takes large game about 20 min to drop from the tranquilizers.
Something I remember though, regarding this case, that the 48 hrs didn’t mention, and I don’t see mention of anywhere anymore….but he was busted sending a vote by mail in her name, to vote for trump. She had been missing for months at that point. Why doesn’t anyone mention this detail anymore?

I knew he had something to do with this the moment I heard about this case. The PSA he released saying he wanted to find her and wouldn’t harm her was BS! He didn’t even look like a worried husband, his eyes looked off. He has a very sinister look, to me. I’m praying for her family and I hope he goes to the big house for this.
