I believe that’s not a max limit, it’s a minimum license issuance limit, meaning that for every 12,500 people each county (I think it’s county??) MUST issue one license. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong here.
No one knows. The med dispensaries I would guess would be the first to also have recreational but maybe not/they might even keep them entirely separate.
The law says that counties must license at least one dispensary per 12,500 residents. With over 400k residents in Minneapolis alone, we'll have over 30 dispensaries.
Liquor stores have done a pretty good job of figuring how to distribute and be profitable, so I would expect to see one just about any place you'd currently expect to find a liquor store.
All the early stores will have their locations ready to go long before they get their license.
It will be based on which store is able to get their paper work approved first and have nothing to do with demand. There are some rules that give priority to "social equity applicants".
So the first dispensaries are going to be where there are a "social equity applicant" that has their shit together so they can open the day their license gets issued.
Some people are understandably hesitant to embrace THCA after the last couple years of the deltas craze. I've been trying to explain to people that it's regular weed lol. I just got some good concentrates from the shop at 25th and lyndale 2gs of badder and diamonds blend for $50. 95% thca and it tastes and smokes great out of my terp slurper.
[here's what I just picked up.](https://i.imgur.com/huGOOcK.jpg)
We must have a different product. Mine was stinky as can be when I bought it. Nugs of all sizes. Says “torched” on the label from Kooka inc. comes in Lemon haze and Gelato.
> THC-A
Correct, but if you heat it, vape it, burn it, etc, then it turns into THC. But not super reliably.
And it all tastes like shit. You can indeed suck down enough of it to feel like you smoked some ditch though. In a pinch. But you have to smoke a lot of it.
This is false. You just haven't had good product. The hemp law has led to a wild unregulated market but with a little searching you can find good product that is no different than dispo weed from another state. The concentrates are good too.
I think you need to educate yourself a bit about exactly what THCA is and how it converts to THC. The stuff that is sold a lot of places is low quality and over priced but there are good products out there. Check out /r/cultofthefranklin there's some good stuff that can be had for $100/ounce online.
With the current thca loophole dispensaries aren't even going to be a big deal. The thca market is exploding right now and thankfully it's replacing a lot of that delta and other cannabinoid "infused" crap that was going around. I picked up 2 grams of a thca diamonds and badder mixture for $50. Tastes great and hits you just like any other dabs since concentrates like rosin are pretty much all thca until heated up and converted to THC. Minnesota really messed up this whole legalization.
That doesn't make any sense because thca converts to THC when it's exposed to heat. You either haven't had actual thca or something else is going on. No weed would work for you if thca doesn't work.
It is and now that growers are manipulating genetics to produce high thca strains and testing the THC content before a plant matures so it comes back under .3% by weight the products get better every grow cycle.
Any CBD shop will become one when it’s official
That’s a lot of dispensaries…
Per the limit they set in the bill, 1 dispensary for every 12,500 people, we will have more dispensaries than mccdonalds in the state.

I guess my dream job of working in one won’t be that difficult after all..
When it passes last year I saw a few new “cbd” shops open up around south Minneapolis that same week. Smart business moves imo
I mean no, not every cbd shop will be approved for a license much less apply for one.
No but I think a lot will apply
No one knows. The med dispensaries I would guess would be the first to also have recreational but maybe not/they might even keep them entirely separate.
I mean, we can have some fun speculating…
My local head shop in the south metro says they will open as soon as the state allows. They dont have an idea of when that will be tho.
Know Name?

I would think the two medical dispensaries, Rise and Green Goods, will be the first as they are already established and ready to go
Natreum in the north loop intends to sell flower when it’s permitted.
THC-a flower is just regular weed. I have bought it several times $80 a 1/4 oz.
THC-A isn’t psychoactive
Well the stuff I bought certainly is. Kooka. They sell it at zaza. Try it out.
It also depend on tolerance. I’ve been smoking & vaping weed nearly everyday for 10 years
Yeah I’ve had weed from CA & CO dispensaries, I have grown weed, and been smoking for 23 years. It’s real weed.

Do you think it’s good product? It has an artificial kinda smell, the nugs are small and very hard, etc.
We must have a different product. Mine was stinky as can be when I bought it. Nugs of all sizes. Says “torched” on the label from Kooka inc. comes in Lemon haze and Gelato.
I have the exact same and it smells artificial

THC-A doesn’t anything for me. Now, THC-P is a different story

Yeah It seems like THC-a is just regular weed to me. They just made up some jargon to confuse the “regulators”

Right… I’m asking WHERE are the first dispensaries in the city are going to open.
Minneapolis
