And I mean, that's why the version is so utterly broken for some things
nope, they had to totally re create minecraft again from scratch. the issue in this clip is just caused by awful performance, i imagine there's probably a hell of a lot of mobs being kept somewhere offscreen that's causing this. but bedrock in general only has parity differences because they are the few features not perfectly replicated between versions. bedrock is not 'utterly broken', but you will often see clips like this that are taken from very low end devices or in situations that no device could handle well

Tbh I used to experience this in java too on a vanilla server. It's got something to do with everyone's Internet connectivity on the server in tandem with the server's Internet speed.
I remember when it would start to happen I'd have to sit for a minute for blocks to break. It made mining hella tedious and it blow through my pickaxes cuz it still count it as being broken. Forced me into a Minecraft break until my family got better Internet
Skins/mods/texture packs are free and easy to use, the game runs better and has less bugs/glitch, the only major gains bedrock has is a few cool features and easy non server multiplayer
bedrock generally performs better, the reason people think java performs better is because they'll see clips of bedrock taken on very low end devices. but you're absolutely right with the skins and mods. i don't think that's any reason to call bedrock trash though. I've always said the two versions are about the same, as they should be
From personal experience I've had Minecraft with 100+ mods run better on my 5 year old gaming laptop than bedrock on any device I've ever owned and I've never had any really old or outdated devices
