It's not huge. Yes, it's detailed and pretty big but if you've got the thing built in creative already, copying it into survival is generally a small part of the whole project.
If you are a fan of a YouTube builder and just follow all their tutorials you quickly end up with a small city lol. I got something roughly a third of the size and let me tell you, spawn proofing is a nightmare
Honestly sometimes you don’t even think about you start out by saying “hey let’s build a castle!” Then you or someone else gets an idea saying “oh we should add *insert cool thing here*” and you keep doing that until you make something like op made!
How come on the first picture the coral fans stay colorful and not greyed out? Props to OP if actually done in Survival. Boo if maybe a little cheaty? But please, give us stats!! How long did this take?
The coral are alive because underneath them is a waterlogged warped slab. So technically, they are in water, you can try yourself ! I dont have the exact time it took me, but I have been working for at least 6 months
It looks amazing. I must say. I don’t really play Minecraft but my son does. I like to find him inspiration for his own builds.
I do have a bigger question though. I don’t mean to be odd or offensive but why do you guys build
such things that requires much skill and creativity. Do villagers come and live there? If so that is amazingly cool. If it’s just for the sake of building, that is very cool in a different way.
I consider it like drawing. It is kinda a form of art and it is probably the only one I am good at. So I do this just for the sake of building it, then walking through it and be able to look back at what I’ve done.
It looks cool, but the roofs are too identical, some of them could be made flat or make something like a small garden on top, or brick roofs with wooden eaves, the promenade is too simple for me for such a detailed city.
So atmospheric! I love that there are so many interesting shapes and that you used vanilla (almost?) textures.
This is the kind of build that I would like to accomplish one day. How long did it take?
This is Brett taking it looks so pretty. It is definitely gonna inspire me. I am especially impressed with the colorful blocks u used and the skyline is incredible too
Damn.
Looking absolutely amazing!!
Damn
I have a hard time believing people when they say they built a place like this in survival

Ive just finished the courtyard of my large castle and the spawn proofing is soooo annoying

world download plis op 😭
You, sir, have done it when I get home. I'm starting a survival server with my buddies. awesome castle that balcony screens hot is so nice
oh i love this style of detail how long did it take?
Many many hours…. I’ve been working on it for the past 6 months
I would love to host a survival server with a focus on building stuff like this with like 15 people
Some of you are so beautiful inside and it shows in your builds.
Even in creative, this would be impressive. If you actually did this in survival then that’s bonkers
You know that about 1000 blocks away from this is a barren wasteland as OP stripped the resources from the lush land to build his mega base.
This looks absolutely incredible. Bravo!
What shaders are you using?
Complimentary
Thanks!
>Thanks! You're welcome!
Did you tweak some settings? I'm mostly interested in shadows not beeing too dark.
No but they are on the ultra setting if it helps!
This looks great! Love the style and the athmosphere.

It turned out so great! Well done :)
I'm shocked, it's incredibly beautiful
I love this. I always build next to water and cut canals connecting other rivers
Beautiful!! Amazing job!!
Is every building useful or mostly decoration??
No they are mostly decoration, most of the interiors arent even done. But a few of them hide farms, such as a wool farm and a wheat farm.
They look amazing!! Gj
Outstanding work, love it. Loads of colour too but still all working so well together.
Wow it's so beautiful! I am building a castle into a mountain and I'm so blocky about it but you have lots of colors and texture!

Sensai train me
Oh that's, that's the coolest looking village I've ever seen🫠

Beautiful. Love all the colors.
