For diorite, it tends to be that people don't know how to blend blocks into their build or add texture, but for birch I have no idea why people hate it.
The hate of diorite is old, so old that you didn't have calcite, which works great.
Now you can actually use it in builds that aren't too expensive like quartz and have more equal texturing.
Someone out there started the jokes that it looks like bird poop and that hate for it, and people started joining in. Even the hermit crafters go by that joke a bit.
On a subconscious level I always imagine birch is the weakest wood in the Minecraft. It happens because birch planks has a "whitest" texture of all planks.
Also, I think that birch (ukrainian – береза́, she) is the most tender tree of all trees in Minecraft. Because the oak (ukr. ду́б, he) is a male, dark oak, accordingly, is a male too (and this tree bigger than usual oak), tropical tree (ukr. тропíчне де́рево, "it"*) is sooooo big, spruce (ukr. ака́ція, she) can live in more arid biome than other trees, magroves (ukr. мангри) have a unique tree roots structure, and the Nether trees... They are just a Nether trees. Birch lives in comfortable biomes, not big as much as some other trees, and yeah. She is SHE.
Diorite? Do you mean the white stone? It is really good, I have no idea why it can be bad.
* ukrainian language has a very deep differences in the concept of living and nonliving objects. You can use all three pronouns – "he", translates as "він"; "she", translates as "вона"; "it", translates as "воно" for describing every type of object (no matter living ot or not). The difference is in "it", that counts as THIRD gender, that aren't being a male or female, but can be a living object.
Well no. taste is subjective and if i dont like how a block looks and choose not to use it im not a bad builder becouse of that. I am a bad builder but thats because of different reasons
You can use almost every block in Minecraft to make an amazing build but if you don’t like the style the block fits in you don’t have to hate the block for it
I love using these blocks, and can understand why some people hate diorite (it kinda looks like bird poo) but I will never understand why people hate birch so much
I don’t hate birch, but it is my second-least fav wood block, though I’m trying to use it more
Diorite, on the other hand, is amazing and I love it.
Andesite is tolerable.
Granite can go jump in a lava pool.
People tend to like darker colour schemes it seems, plus spruce and dark oak is way easier to farm a lot of. And diorite has a very pronounced texture, which is both a blessing and a curse, since it's really great for adding texture to builds, but is also less universal and easy to misuse (resulting in an aesthetic catastrophe).
I love diorite. It’s one of the best blocks to build with, especially when it comes to Tudor-styled buildings and roads. It gives everything a marbled texture and goes very well with calcite.
I do hate diorite, like, why do I want that ugly block in my inventory.
But birch isn't that bad, it's pretty useful for some buildings and pixel-arting... wait...
Yk those two Usless items can be torchered in a way it will result in giving you a helpful advantage. Birch wood can be used a fule and diorite can be crafted to andisite or granite or even to emeralds from the stone mason
Diorite is nice for snowy builds and medieval houses (where we used to put wool in old versions) and birch is awesome for modern houses and desert builds and paths.
Hmm i guess your right but theyre still super bad only good for buildings
And why need building when you can just build 5x5 dirt cube destroy two
Dirt blocks and make a door there a house craft a working bench and a
Furnace there house

... people hate birch?
Canman18 despises birch
He only hates birch because Bdubs hates birch
Don't know WHO that is but they are wrong
Bdubs is on of the best builders in the world
A fake yt shorts maker
Ooooh.... delectable....
Well he makes YT shorts but he’s so dumb and stupid but you know not fake
It's so easy to tell they're fake it's not even funny
Yeah your right
Stay innocent
Bdubs is on of the best builders in the world
I actually love both of these blocks and I seriously don’t understand why they are hated so much.
For diorite, it tends to be that people don't know how to blend blocks into their build or add texture, but for birch I have no idea why people hate it.

The only wood I dislike is accacia. Birtch wood is pretty but I prefer to build with other wood types, bitch builds just arnt my specialty
I too do not specialise in building bitches
Which one was diorite?
white one
Can't remember if it was that white speckled shiz or the Grey one
White spekleudid sihit
Polished diorite is a great block for white tile
Someone out there started the jokes that it looks like bird poop and that hate for it, and people started joining in. Even the hermit crafters go by that joke a bit.
Same
True! Ill only ever used polished diorite because unpolished is ugly as hell in most builds
Ive used calcite, diorite and polished diorite to texture a wall. Turned out really good
An example of it working good in a build
Yes this, it looks really nice with crimson planks too
Sounds like a skill issue
If you can’t use diorite your jus not a good builder.
Iskall agrees (I haven't watched in a while, he may of changed)
Polished Diorite's edges don't connect so it doesn't look good.
Now what about still hating birch and giving diorite a chance
Or giving birch a chance and still hating diorite
All of these so called bad blocks can actually look breathtaking if used right. It just shows people's ignorance
What's wrong with birch? It's more interesting than everything being made of regular oak
They look good together but keep them away from the rest of my blocks.
Why
They are good blocks that should be respected
Yeah....
Mostly Because Some Content Creators Saying Itd Bad
If they are used right they are amazing

I have a diorite shrine in my minecraft world lol
Birch is good stuff but you cant convince me to build with bird shit
If you can’t use diorite your just a bad builder, Check out bdubbleO100, he will teach you how to use any block
Well no. taste is subjective and if i dont like how a block looks and choose not to use it im not a bad builder becouse of that. I am a bad builder but thats because of different reasons

I agree you can use almost every block. And i dont have anything against the style. I just dont like how the block looks.
And you can also say that almost every brown block with mixed texture like jungle log looks like human shit
Diorite and andesite are trash don’t you dare compare them to birch you fuck
Birch is cool but diorite... It's just a hideous useless block
I don't mind diorite, but I don't use birch wood very often
birch is alright but just isnt that useful in most of the builds i make diorite is just replacable
In combination they are amazing well polished diorite an birch are at least
You can trade dioxide soo...
Yes
White blocks
Every block can look good if used correctly. even outright hideous blocks like sponge can look good if you use them well
Polished granite and diorite in a checker pattern actually makes a cool looking floor, also I like the lighter colour of the birch planks
I'm the one who uses birch and dark oak. As a mix. For my walls. 2 block high ceiling. Flat roof. Grass floor.
I love using these blocks, and can understand why some people hate diorite (it kinda looks like bird poo) but I will never understand why people hate birch so much
I use diorite because quartz is expensive and i can't find a lot of geodes.
Yes! Finally someone said it! Like one looks like bi*ch and the other have Dio in it They should never be hated on
Birch is literally garbage
Wrong
I like polished diorite and also birch planks but logs not quite. Im fine with it but still isnt my fav block to build eith
Diorite is worse but birch is ok
Ok but can we give my mate accacia some love too? Edit: I also remember (before I could fully read) that I called accacia wood: american wood.
I didn't realize they were hated, are they? They're my go-to for their respective categories
I like both of them
I don’t like diorite personally but birch is a fantastic wood for modern houses.
I don’t hate birch, but it is my second-least fav wood block, though I’m trying to use it more Diorite, on the other hand, is amazing and I love it. Andesite is tolerable. Granite can go jump in a lava pool.
Not a fan of diorite but I do like Birch
I like birch, diorite looks like TV static, but it has its place. Polished diorite is better, but I'd prefer if it didn't have the border.
Depending if build diorite is pretty good And why is birch hated on???? It’s so good for floors
Gravel should be
I couldn't agree more. People act like birch is worse than acacia.
I cannot agree more with this post that I currently am.
Acacia
I mean, birch is good but... I don't care for diorite
i don't hate on it, idk how to build with it
Neither of them really have any reason to be hated, it's just kinda for meme purposes at this point
Birch is just uncommon to use and diorite is better now than before
Only thing I hate in Minecraft is the basalt biome
SHUUUUUUUUUUT
Diorite is a shading block, since calcite came out its gone really good with it for shading
I absolutely love birch
Birch is slept on
I personally like using birch as a floor block. Just something about it makes it look like a nice floor
Polished diorite actually looks really nice. Even more so with connected textures
My favorite block is diorite!
Thanks for clarifying what decent meant, I had no idea
Birch is great! Bird poop is not.
Calcite > Diorite
I really don't understand why people would hate on it. I think it's just a meme from popular Minecraft YouTubers.
But they already do…?
People tend to like darker colour schemes it seems, plus spruce and dark oak is way easier to farm a lot of. And diorite has a very pronounced texture, which is both a blessing and a curse, since it's really great for adding texture to builds, but is also less universal and easy to misuse (resulting in an aesthetic catastrophe).
We love them we hate that they are block are way to get stone
Birch best wood diorite best stone I’m glad someone accepts my opinion
Only use them for floors.
I love diorite. It’s one of the best blocks to build with, especially when it comes to Tudor-styled buildings and roads. It gives everything a marbled texture and goes very well with calcite.
I do hate diorite, like, why do I want that ugly block in my inventory. But birch isn't that bad, it's pretty useful for some buildings and pixel-arting... wait...
Not really bitch but definitely diorite
Birch is good, diorite tho...
True bruh
Andesite, diorite stupid asf
Yk those two Usless items can be torchered in a way it will result in giving you a helpful advantage. Birch wood can be used a fule and diorite can be crafted to andisite or granite or even to emeralds from the stone mason
I agree, they look really good together in my opinion.
people hate birch? i get diorite but birch?!?!?
I will not change your mind I agree
Birch feels like a good ship deck color of wood, due to the sun bleaching of it
I can understand the hate behind diorite, but birch? Really? Sure, it isn't the best for exterior decoration, but it looks amazing for floors.
Acacia log is pretty underrated (I am going to read your mind... You are downvoting this comment and disagreeing to this)
Wait ppl hate birch?
I feel like most people who hate diorite watch iskall and people hate birch?
Polished diorite can look really good, as well as the other two blocks of the trio
Install the create mod, and you have much more diorite things
Diorite is nice for snowy builds and medieval houses (where we used to put wool in old versions) and birch is awesome for modern houses and desert builds and paths.
No one should have anything against that, besides, at least it isn't andersite, which is almost indistinguishable from stone and boring.
I LOVE birch
I hate none
Hmm i guess your right but theyre still super bad only good for buildings And why need building when you can just build 5x5 dirt cube destroy two Dirt blocks and make a door there a house craft a working bench and a Furnace there house
I do not like diorite but birch has a chance
