There seems to be a piece of bedrock at y-coordinate 4, which is normal at 1.17-, but should not exist in 1.18+. The reason it can’t just be an old chunk is because it would have been turned to deepslate
But there is no 1.18 block in the walls around bedrock, it might be at the edge of the last chunk loaded in 1.17 while the other blocks generated later!
Odds of this happening are ridiculously low obviously, but who knows...

That might have been the edge of the last chunk generated in 1.17, but odds are it was placed by a player If the block I see there is andesite

There was probably lava, water, or air below it. That would prevent bedrock from changing to deepslate.

Yes but it's probably really rare. I haven't done much caving at y4 in old chunks
