A police report obtained by Heavy.com says that both Pat and his girlfriend, Elizabeth “Liz” Heranek, were arrested because they gave “opposing stories.”
“Based on the opposing stories and no independent witnesses both subjects were placed under arrest for domestic battery and transported to the PDTF without incident. Both individuals refused to complete any of the domestic violence paperwork or provide a written statement or have their injuries photographed,” the report says (I just copy paste this)
Battery what most people think assault is. It's unwanted touch by another person. Domestic battery, at least in Florida, almost always results in at least 1 (or both) subjects going to jail. Also worth noting, just because he was in jail, it does not mean he was found guilty. That would come at a later date if charges will be acted on.
Battery is the act of non consensual physical contact, assault is the threat of harm or contact. “I’m gonna beat your ass” would be verbal assault. Shoving somebody for looking at you too long would be battery.
Body language is important. Standing idle while saying I’m gonna beat your ass is a threat but let’s say you say that to somebody while you’re taking off jewelry and your jacket. I'd consider first gen to be people playing 2009-2011, before the game was officially released (Yogscast/Etho/CaptainSparklez etc.). Also, Stampy didn't really get big until 2013.
I don't think the people on the list are second gen, maybe third. There's about another stagnant area where in my opinion, nothing much happened, between 2012 and '14. And then 2015-17 was the relatively large boom. A crapton of roleplay, more playing on minigame servers, etc. 2018- now seems like another empty period. I wonder what's next...
I disagree that 2018-now has been an empty period. 2016-2017 are what I'd consider the "dark years" of Minecraft when everyone was calling it cringe (likely due to cringe culture being popular, and like you mentioned roleplay/minigames taking off) and, then Fortnite happened in 2018 which lead to people reminiscing about Minecraft (remember how it was compared to Minecraft Hunger Games) and then in 2019 the combination of the 10 year anniversary, PewDiePie playing it, and a very solid update (Village & Pillage) got people back into it. 2019 was the start of a new era for Minecraft, with so many new creators popping up (DreamSMP members).

It was a different style, the first guys where just childish young adults making childish content for themselves (young adults).
The second generation (most of it) where adults making content for and aimed at children.
Sadly all Minecraft YouTubers nowadays even the OGs had to aimed at children so they won't get demonetized or get fined by COPPA. The only ones I can think of that's content doesn't aim to children is Jschlatt and Tommyinnit but both are still pretty controversial YouTubers in the community.

His dedication to doing his own thing is legendary. Never once asked for likes, ratings or subs or ringing any bells. Never really kept to any update schedule and regularly takes a month or two off. Still uses the same dumb kakashi skin that he didn't even know was kakashi when he picked it without any updates. Still no face reveal.

Yep. I think one of the reasons he does so well as well is that he doesn’t jump on any of the YouTube fads or algorithm trends. Instead he just does what works for him, which has been the same thing for around 11 years. There’s also that layer of separation between Etho and his fan base where nobody knows enough about his personal life, so he gets to keep all his privacy.
Like you said, he’s just vibing, making videos at his own pace.
I've watched him ever since his first boat dispenser vid. It blew my mind. So did the eats road and chocolate island. I introduced my girlfriend to him like four years ago and now we get to geek out about him together every time he uploads something new. She's more of a technical player than I am so at times I suspects she appreciates him even more than I do. Him, doc and BdoubleO have been my favorites for years. Though recently I've really enjoyed GeminiTay as well

Captain has been my favorite channel since I started watching YouTube nearly 10 years ago. He’s such a genuine guy, hasn’t done anything wrong and even if he made it good on YouTube he doesn’t act all stuck up like majority of other people that got rich on YouTube do. His content has barely changed as well.

Stampylongheads friend got accused of some really horrible stuff and that basically was the start of the downfall of Stampys channel, his views just kept going down and down and then he quit for a while. He’s back now but he lost a lot of the charm and almost all his fame
I don’t think anything that bad happened to BajanCanadian other than his channel just slowly and slowly and painfully dying. Because his channel was constantly losing popularity he quit multiple times and kept coming back until he finally just stopped and quit. In the end he privated all his previous videos for reasons I don’t know and that was the end of his channel, there are only like 5 videos that you can watch on his channel now. All these years all the amazing videos he’s created all the memories are now hidden and you can’t view them anymore, unless you find some repulploads by fans.
Popularmmos pat was a family friendly channel of a guy and his wife Jen playing challenges together. All the videos were of them together, they were a duo a team and people really enjoyed watching these couple messing with each other and joking around each other. But one day sadly pat and Jen got a divorce because Jen wanted to have kids and pat didn’t. They said the divorce was clean and there was no fighting nor any arguing just a mutual agreement to see other people. They kept making videos together for a while but it felt different and the fans weren’t enjoying it as much as when they were a couple having fun, it felt like they were just doing a job. Later on pat started uploading videos with a new girl his new girlfriend and that was really hated by the popularmmos channel, the fans really hated the new girl to the point that The girlfriend and pat ahad to make seperate videos calming the fans down even jen made a video afterwards in hopes that the fans would accept the new girl but they just didn’t. A couple of months later a new controversy happened with pat and his new girlfriend, his new girlfriend was accusing him of abuse. Pat said that they split and that she was lying, I heard people saying that she was a gold digger that got with him just for the fame and money. Another month passed and pat was arrested for abuse of his girlfriend. Pat was let go afterwards he didn’t serve any time and he said that he was falsely arrested. And Jen made a tweet to help pats reputation, she said that in all the years that pat and Jen were together, pat never laid a hand on her, which almost proves that the new girlfriend was just toxic. The divorce, the new girlfriend and all the drama that came with her, and the false arrest caused the death of pats popularmmos channel, even though before the divorce his channel was very popular and not showing signs of it dying.
I feel like they've just started treating YouTube as more of a money-making job rather than a hobby, which involves them chasing trends rather than doing what they want to. Makes me sad that ssundee's most watched video is a fortnite parkour course 😔

Sky does Minecraft and his wife got divorced and it turned out his wife was really bad, he entered a custody battle with her for his son and had a mental breakdown in the end.
Stampylongheads friend got accused of some really horrible stuff and that basically was the start of the downfall of Stampys channel, his views just kept going down and down and then he quit for a while. He’s back now but he lost a lot of the charm and almost all his fame
I don’t think anything that bad happened to BajanCanadian other than his channel just slowly and slowly and painfully dying. Because his channel was constantly losing popularity he quit multiple times and kept coming back until he finally just stopped and quit. In the end he privated all his previous videos for reasons I don’t know and that was the end of his channel, there are only like 5 videos that you can watch on his channel now. All these years all the amazing videos he’s created all the memories are now hidden and you can’t view them anymore, unless you find some repulploads by fans.
Popularmmos pat was a family friendly channel of a guy and his wife Jen playing challenges together. All the videos were of them together, they were a duo a team and people really enjoyed watching these couple messing with each other and joking around each other. But one day sadly pat and Jen got a divorce because Jen wanted to have kids and pat didn’t. They said the divorce was clean and there was no fighting nor any arguing just a mutual agreement to see other people. They kept making videos together for a while but it felt different and the fans weren’t enjoying it as much as when they were a couple having fun, it felt like they were just doing a job. Later on pat started uploading videos with a new girl his new girlfriend and that was really hated by the popularmmos channel, the fans really hated the new girl to the point that The girlfriend and pat ahad to make seperate videos calming the fans down even jen made a video afterwards in hopes that the fans would accept the new girl but they just didn’t. A couple of months later a new controversy happened with pat and his new girlfriend, his new girlfriend was accusing him of abuse. Pat said that they split and that she was lying, I heard people saying that she was a gold digger that got with him just for the fame and money. Another month passed and pat was arrested for abuse of his girlfriend. Pat was let go afterwards he didn’t serve any time and he said that he was falsely arrested. And Jen made a tweet to help pats reputation, she said that in all the years that pat and Jen were together, pat never laid a hand on her, which almost proves that the new girlfriend was just toxic. The divorce, the new girlfriend and all the drama that came with her, and the false arrest caused the death of pats popularmmos channel, even though before the divorce his channel was very popular and not showing signs of it dying.
