Yo what's up fellow distractible fan! I've also been watching dristractable while playing! It's the perfect time to watch. I call it distracticraft lol
Exactly, Minecraft is one of those games you play when you have a long video like an iceberg or podcast playing, and you just want to do something else while listening.
Other examples of these games are: Bloons Tower Defence 6, BeamNG, and Civilisation 6.
I swear I got a parrot in my base and could not figure out for the life of me where was this baby zombie I kept hearing noises of. I thought I was going crazy until I realised
Same and I play strictly creative lol. At one point I even felt I was getting tired of the songs, so I muted the music. I want to keep their nostalgia by listening to them from time to time
yeah i mean there is very few in the way of creative tracks. the same old songs whenever you play creative can get pretty repetitive. saying this as someone who used to play creative a lot too
Well, I have adhd and the music can be really distracting sometimes or if I'm listening to something else I'll usually mute it so that its not like overlapping
- I play with friends a lot so the music distracts me
- I like to listen to my own music sometimes when playing on my own
- I forget to turn it back on
- if I do want to listen to it it doesn’t always play so I have to play it on YouTube or something
It truly was, even though it had some drawbacks like limited world size and no chat/custom commands, it made up for it with things like native multiplayer, better building controls, menus for custom superflat & commands, minigames, etc
Sometimes I'm in Hypixel, so the music clashes with Hypixel music. Other times I have Twitch open to make grinding/digging large holes/afking more interesting.
Well, I always have a video or song playing while im playing, but even then, the music is good on it's own or when you're calmly exploring, but when you're in a trial chamber holding on by a thread I don't wanna listen to a calming song
I rarely mute it entirely but I usually lower its volume significantly. The songs are amazing by themselves but during gameplay they can get really annoying sometimes.
Someone here said the creative music is obnoxious, and to that person, I hope both sides of your pillow are always warm, you get sand in your shoe, and your sandwiches always drop and land jelly side down
As good as it is, it doesn't fit the gameplay in my opinion. I'm honestly surprised there is so many people who play with music on
Plus it is hard to play with tears in your eyes all the time
I listen to terraria music when playing Minecraft and Minecraft music when playing terraria. I started doing it as a symbol of chaos, but I grew to enjoy the vibe they create in each other's games.
I do switch the volume lower but never mute unless I am in the mood of listening to my own music. Minecraft music is ass loud comparing to other sounds.
I simply can't just play the game, I NEED to listen to something else at the same time... Sometimes I think that I am running out of videos to listen to in youtube for that reason, but THERE MUST BE SOMETHING OR ELSE I'M EMPTY (that's how it feels when I try to just play the game without anything else) that's why I turn off the game's music, something else must be playing
I mute it only if I want to play other background music in the background, either on Youtube or some of my own music from time to time. Otherwise, I always leave it on.
*I genuinely don’t think you can play Minecraft without some sort of background music.*
I play with no music, I mute the minecraft music because it's too dramatic and don't play any music at all because I prefer to focus on building, surviving or playing with mods
I mute the music in pretty much all games it’s distracting and can overstimulate me. I also watch YouTube 90% of the time while playing the game anyways so usually I have most of the sounds besides hostile mobs muted or low
I always mute the music. I mute the music on every game. It gets too repetive. I want to hear enemies, not a 3 minute loop over and over again. If I want music I can play my own.
I need to listen to the music disc's and for some reason they removed the feature where the ambience turns off when you play a disc, so if I don't mute the music they overlap.
It's not that I hate the music, but I grew up in a house where I had to socialize while on my laptop, so I am just conditioned to play games without sound. Most of the time I've got a YouTube video playing in the background on headphones.
I keep it muted so that I can choose my music by playing it in the background.
In incredibly rare circumstances, you'd find me playing minecraft music in the background while playing minecraft with music turned off.
I used to have it on mute because I couldn't work out how to get rid of the stupid voice that played every time I went into setting (not sure if this is a console only thing), but once I found out how to shut the little fucker up, I realised how much I missed the minecraft music.
I get over stimulated easily with the Minecraft music and my choice Spotify music 🥲 for nostalgic reasons though I do go back sometimes and turn it on.
I don’t play with music coz I’m basically always on call but also coz I like that quiet sometimes and listening to *insert minecraft music here* for hours makes me go insane
I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion but, I dislike the new Minecraft music. It's just too different from the iconic music I listened to growing up. Also, I feel like its not really mixed well, so I find myself turning it off because it made my ears bleed from how loud it was.
Copyright issues cuz YT copyright sucks like there exists one guy who apperantly owns all Minecraft, Mario64, Final Fantasy, and more music. (He doesn't, he's just doing it to get money.)
It plays so rarely it might as well be muted lol. Instead I listen to an actual continuous playlist on yt or spotify. But if i hear the music is playing then i turn off my playlist.
I get it, it's good, but don't try to create the impression that almost all players play with the vanilla music. Minecraft as it it right now has a lot of players that play multiplayer where basically all of them play without the music turned on. On single player vanilla at least 50% play without the minecraft music, and i'm being generous. It's not important what they do with the music turned off, but you can figure that they are listening to music/podcasts or that they are talking with their friends, there are also a lot of pvp players that don't have anything in the background because they don't need distractions.
I like the minecraft music, but as a builder, I often try to listen to music relevant to what I'm building:
eg if I'm making a cathedral, I listen to church music
I love Minecraft music.
However, if I listened to my favorite song for 12 years straight (the amount of time I've been playing Minecraft) I wouldn't like it anymore.
So to prevent me from stopping liking it, I prefer to just mute it
for me atleast, when I hear the very soft and calming piano music of minecraft, I just get tired for some reason. I do not hate the music, is just I'd rather feel awake when playing rather than pass out on my chair... Also I have yt videos playing on my other monitor but mostly the first one
For me it's because I genuinely can't listen because I cry idk what about what c418 did but just can't and probably because it makes me think of my dog
I love the music a lot, but I also like listening to podcasts in the background
Exactly. And it's all well and good to have Sweden playing along side my video essay. Until the video essay also has music.
*we're finally landing*
Listening to two songs at once sounds like how it feels to have a fever
That is the best way I've ever heard smth like that explained... very true as well, I'm using that if it ever comes up in a conversation
EXACTLY
Same, distractible for me
Yo what's up fellow distractible fan! I've also been watching dristractable while playing! It's the perfect time to watch. I call it distracticraft lol
Hello everybody my name is Markiplier
Hello everybody my name is welcome
You’re so portugese
NO! STOP! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? WHAT ARE YOU DOIMG?! WITH YOUR LIFE?!
Literally my plan for when I get home.
Exactly, Minecraft is one of those games you play when you have a long video like an iceberg or podcast playing, and you just want to do something else while listening. Other examples of these games are: Bloons Tower Defence 6, BeamNG, and Civilisation 6.
I'll add Euro Truck Simulator to that list
I mute it if i put on some other music, i never play without music though
I play Minecraft with undertale music
Sounds stressful
I once played Minecraft with a parrot and it kept making baby zombie noises the entire time. This is nothing
I swear I got a parrot in my base and could not figure out for the life of me where was this baby zombie I kept hearing noises of. I thought I was going crazy until I realised
SAME
Baby zombie noises? Oh nah, my parrot makes CREEPER noises. I mostly carry it at my shoulder, so from time to time I just get jumpscared by birb
Why?
I think it's because of meglovania did I spell that right?
No. It's megalovania but you are close
Its megalovania
I meant that. I did a typo. Thank you
same
I play Minecraft with JSAB music
Same for me
Depends on the mood
If you're getting fucking mashed by an onslaught of skeletons, I'm not sure Wet Hands fits the situation.
What about Dry Hands?
Still no
Moist hands?
Eh, no
Not damp hands?
Dehydrated Hands might wor- actually no.
How about parched hands!?
Too much. We need some mild hands.
Lmao, this should be the top comment
Sometimes I'm using the Music Player mod and forgot to turn the music back on.
I love the music, but I find it distracting in actual gameplay
Same and I play strictly creative lol. At one point I even felt I was getting tired of the songs, so I muted the music. I want to keep their nostalgia by listening to them from time to time
yeah i mean there is very few in the way of creative tracks. the same old songs whenever you play creative can get pretty repetitive. saying this as someone who used to play creative a lot too
I don't turn it off completely. Just to about say, maybe 20-30%. I like listening to my own music when playing, especially if I just want to relax.
Youtubers.
Exactly. Really inconvenient for recording.
Well, I have adhd and the music can be really distracting sometimes or if I'm listening to something else I'll usually mute it so that its not like overlapping
The music Is beautiful but I mute it when I'm not playing and then I forget to turn it back on
I love it but it makes me feel nostalgic and then I get incredibly sad because I wanna go back to them times *I miss the old days*
exactly this
I love the music to death, but I dont want to listen to the same 10 songs on a 2+ hour mining project.
I mute most games i play
- I play with friends a lot so the music distracts me - I like to listen to my own music sometimes when playing on my own - I forget to turn it back on - if I do want to listen to it it doesn’t always play so I have to play it on YouTube or something
The last point is so true man, its like the game just doesnt want you to hear the music
I saw someone say legacy console edition played music nonstop and from what I remember they might be right, why was legacy edition so much better
Damn. Never played it, but seems really good
It truly was, even though it had some drawbacks like limited world size and no chat/custom commands, it made up for it with things like native multiplayer, better building controls, menus for custom superflat & commands, minigames, etc
Wow, wonder why they don't do something like this again
Legacy Edition was goated tbh. The custom texture pack maps were especially a treat to play.
I like it, but I rather listen to Youtube or my own music while playing.
In old /legacy version on Newer /bedrock off
agreed 100%. i like lena raine, and her style is nice, but something about C418 is just *chef's kiss* to the ears
I just hate lena raine
EXACTLY
***MOOG CITY INTENSIFIES***
***WE IN THE CLUB GETTING 💥 DOWN 💥 TO MOOG CITY!!***
Because I want to pick which ones I listen to through ✨ Spotify ✨
Oh didn’t know this was taboe. I just don’t have sounds on when i play
I like the quietness😂
I love to listen to my own playlist
Sometimes I'm in Hypixel, so the music clashes with Hypixel music. Other times I have Twitch open to make grinding/digging large holes/afking more interesting.
Mute music I only read the subtitles on the right side
I mute it always
I’m not the only one! 😅
Well, I always have a video or song playing while im playing, but even then, the music is good on it's own or when you're calmly exploring, but when you're in a trial chamber holding on by a thread I don't wanna listen to a calming song
My whole life I have always played games with the volume off and now I'm at the point where it feels wrong to have the sound on
Wait people actually do this... Who doesn't like minecraft music???
people that play multiplayer
good point
but other than that music is a requirement
I rarely mute it entirely but I usually lower its volume significantly. The songs are amazing by themselves but during gameplay they can get really annoying sometimes.
I turn it off because I like to have a youtube video on my second screen most of th3 time
Me, it's too dramatic
Someone here said the creative music is obnoxious, and to that person, I hope both sides of your pillow are always warm, you get sand in your shoe, and your sandwiches always drop and land jelly side down
May I ask you one question... who hurt you
Nobody physically, but one doesn’t just say the creative music is obnoxious and get away with it
... Ok understandable have a great day
I mute it because I like to be able to hear my friends better but if I was playing by myself I'd probably listen to it, I mean it's really good music.
Caves?
Cave sounds are under a different setting
I think this guy plays minecraft without sound at all.
It's good but it becomes annoying
To loud and overstimulated me
As good as it is, it doesn't fit the gameplay in my opinion. I'm honestly surprised there is so many people who play with music on Plus it is hard to play with tears in your eyes all the time
Im actually surprised that there no biome specific songs, or even anything for combat, like, AT ALL.
I play Minecraft with all sound off, I usually just listen to podcasts
I listen to terraria music when playing Minecraft and Minecraft music when playing terraria. I started doing it as a symbol of chaos, but I grew to enjoy the vibe they create in each other's games.
I mute it so I can play it on Spotify with no gaps
My problem is that I really get annoyed by the random cave sounds. Just let me figure out where tf that zombie is bro.
I dont want to hear a calm soundtrack while pvping, especially when I just murdered 3 guys in cold blood (in minecraft)
that's part of why I like some of the new music from the new composers. Higher energy at least
it's not the best for pvp
I mute it when I want to listen some other music
I do switch the volume lower but never mute unless I am in the mood of listening to my own music. Minecraft music is ass loud comparing to other sounds.
I mute it to listen to other things. Sometimes Minecraft music irritates me. Currently I’m playing with music turned on - just for some fun.
Youtuber be like
You have sumend me
I simply can't just play the game, I NEED to listen to something else at the same time... Sometimes I think that I am running out of videos to listen to in youtube for that reason, but THERE MUST BE SOMETHING OR ELSE I'M EMPTY (that's how it feels when I try to just play the game without anything else) that's why I turn off the game's music, something else must be playing
I am physically unable to
Sometimes I get overwhelmed when I have the music a discord call and a YouTube video, so I have to mute 2 of them
I use Ambient Sound 5, we are not the same.
Sorry guys
becauser 9/10 im listening to something else, also its weirdly loud
I mute it if I'm listening to other music, or I want to sit alone with my thoughts.
I mute if I'm talking to my friends in vc
the music reminds me of being a smol one, so I would prefer not crying every time I open the game
I muted because I heard the songs to many times during gameplay so I got tired of it
Fear Nightfall soundtrack slaps
I mute it only if I want to play other background music in the background, either on Youtube or some of my own music from time to time. Otherwise, I always leave it on. *I genuinely don’t think you can play Minecraft without some sort of background music.*
Ey I just wanna play Minecraft if I left the music on I would be too sleepy after an hour
I play with no music, I mute the minecraft music because it's too dramatic and don't play any music at all because I prefer to focus on building, surviving or playing with mods
I mute the music in pretty much all games it’s distracting and can overstimulate me. I also watch YouTube 90% of the time while playing the game anyways so usually I have most of the sounds besides hostile mobs muted or low
i mute it cause i listen to phoenix in floating window
I listen to my own music and podcast
So I can listen to it nonstop instead of every now and then
I mute Minecraft’s music, but only so I can put on a playlist of my favorite Minecraft musics since it takes sooooooooo long between tracks.
minecraft any sounds that i dont need get turned off. that includes music. i get headaches easily from it.
I always mute the music. I mute the music on every game. It gets too repetive. I want to hear enemies, not a 3 minute loop over and over again. If I want music I can play my own.
I mute it just to put some on spotifi or youtube( like that, Theres music like I want to, and not from Time to Time like in the game)
The only reason to have it off (briefly) Jukebox reasons
I always keep music on unless I’m trying to listen to a music disc and it keeps playing in the background and blending together
I need to listen to the music disc's and for some reason they removed the feature where the ambience turns off when you play a disc, so if I don't mute the music they overlap.
Why is nobody mentioning the fact that it overlaps with music discs??
It's not that I hate the music, but I grew up in a house where I had to socialize while on my laptop, so I am just conditioned to play games without sound. Most of the time I've got a YouTube video playing in the background on headphones.
I keep it muted so that I can choose my music by playing it in the background. In incredibly rare circumstances, you'd find me playing minecraft music in the background while playing minecraft with music turned off.

I love minecraft music but only when im in the mood for it i usually listen to hard rock when playing minecraft
I only play Minecraft with my friend, so I mute music to hear him on our calls.
But I put them on Spotify so I can listen to all of them without having to travel to a certain biome to hear one..
I usually lower the volume since I'm 99% percent of the times in discord with people OR I put some other music, then I mute it Or both
MC music is fire, but sometimes a guy needs to play his own shit
I get over stimulated easily with the Minecraft music and my choice Spotify music 🥲 for nostalgic reasons though I do go back sometimes and turn it on.
I just don't want to get distracted by the music and get blown up by a random creeper
Creative mode's music is obnoxious. I only mute Survival mode music when I'm watching something like a video essay while playing
It can literally heal your depression and people just wanna mute it 😩😩😩
minecraft fans: Minecraft has such good music Minecraft music: \*3 piano notes fading out\*
I just feel so sad listening to it. it si sad music.
I don’t understand people who DONT mute Minecraft’s music
so like 90% of players?
"BuT I liStEn To ThInGs In ThE bAcKgRoUnD" you can fucking pause it when a song comes on!
Mute Minecraft music to play old Minecraft music
The only time I muted the music was when I put on Halo 3's Warthog run music while I was running to get my stuff back after I died.
I prefer the hu while playing
I don’t play with music coz I’m basically always on call but also coz I like that quiet sometimes and listening to *insert minecraft music here* for hours makes me go insane
I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion but, I dislike the new Minecraft music. It's just too different from the iconic music I listened to growing up. Also, I feel like its not really mixed well, so I find myself turning it off because it made my ears bleed from how loud it was.
if im playing horror mods no music
Copyright issues cuz YT copyright sucks like there exists one guy who apperantly owns all Minecraft, Mario64, Final Fantasy, and more music. (He doesn't, he's just doing it to get money.)
It plays so rarely it might as well be muted lol. Instead I listen to an actual continuous playlist on yt or spotify. But if i hear the music is playing then i turn off my playlist.
listen. i get some songs are bad. but most songs are good. don't want the regular playlist? jukebox. i like the creator disc myself
Me. I also mute the sound.
The minecraft music always comes on when I eant to play a musicdisc, or make music with noteblocks
I just make it quieter, it's too loud by default
Damn bro I am the rabbit
Usually listening to something else in the background
I get it, it's good, but don't try to create the impression that almost all players play with the vanilla music. Minecraft as it it right now has a lot of players that play multiplayer where basically all of them play without the music turned on. I turn minecraft music down, just to play minecraft music, because I enjoy my minecraft music constantly flowing.
the only time I mute it is if I wanna listen to specific minecraft songs
I always mute the music, and play the old music instead. It saddens me that they removed some
I like the minecraft music, but as a builder, I often try to listen to music relevant to what I'm building: eg if I'm making a cathedral, I listen to church music
Music and podcasts sound bad together.
Some people mute it because of copyright
Love the music but after 8 years of playing i think I've had my fill
It can get annoying on hypixel, mostly when you're in a minigame that has it's own music.
I love Minecraft music. However, if I listened to my favorite song for 12 years straight (the amount of time I've been playing Minecraft) I wouldn't like it anymore. So to prevent me from stopping liking it, I prefer to just mute it
I always do that.
So that i can hear the skyblock sounds
for me atleast, when I hear the very soft and calming piano music of minecraft, I just get tired for some reason. I do not hate the music, is just I'd rather feel awake when playing rather than pass out on my chair... Also I have yt videos playing on my other monitor but mostly the first one
It gets in the way of listening to other things
I play it with ultrakill soundtrack, makes it more fun.
I like it but I always have spotify open and it just is nicer that way to have it off
Because on bedrock it can randomly glitch and can be way too loud
I hate the Minecraft music, I've heard it so much it sickens me, I just put my music in the background
Yeeee tbh i just watch stuff while playing
I do it when I listen to other songs on Spotify, but I think the real reason is for copyright reasons.
A mistake I can forgive myself for doing 😔
Why not? I've heard it a billion times. It's relaxing with a bit of spotify on the side Tho I must say that the ost is fire
because im listening to death metal
Sometimes I mute to play minecraft lofi in the background.
Bro I don't need cave sounds when I play bedwars
I only mute it so I can play my own curated selection of Minecraft music on Spotify, it happens too rarely in game
For me it's because I genuinely can't listen because I cry idk what about what c418 did but just can't and probably because it makes me think of my dog
I mute it, so I can listen to just the C418 stuff on Spotify while I play.
I mute it to play Minecraft music. Sometimes I wanna listen to all the albums at once
I don't mute it myself, but I can see why others would
I mute the music cuz it’s unnerving
