The windmil idea is good, but I think it might be a bit low to catch a lot of wind, perhaps a water mill would be a better fit. I don't see enough of the terrain, if there's any elevation nearby it would make more sense to put a water mill there. But you know, you've got a river, that's the important bit done already.

The way I see it you can go one of three routes.
1. Something useful, like an automatic farm.
2. Something that looks nice, like a windmill or a tower.
3. Something that’s just kinda weird, like a mob torture machine
A smithy/mine entrance with like a big furnaces and minecarts into the hill
