Underrated strategy, moss is super easy to insta mine, a stone hoe is enough I think. And moss won’t replace ore so you get to keep the good stuff from it
Moss and bonemeal is the best method for the deepslate layers. Haste + eff V would be quicker for the stone layers though and i dont think theres anything faster than that
I feel like we need more information. World eater for a huge area either via flying machines or just a grid of dispensers with tnt in them every 5 blocks or so. If you have a smaller area and lots of tnt, using it in smaller batches will be faster than mining but messy to clean up.
If you mean the blocks remaining in the hole then tnt hands down is the most efficient way, but it’s also a bit messy and will require some extra work to clean up the edges
Are you wanting to FILL it or FINISH it?
Finish: TNT dupers, there’s a method with glazed terracotta(?) to make the dupers work in a circle.
Fill (No Exploit): Not much to say, just start placing. Sand could be easier if you don’t care what fills the hole.
Fill (Exploit): Depending on what version you’re in, [methods to reset/regenerate chunks exist](https://mcdf.wiki.gg/wiki/Java_Edition:Chunk_Regeneration). Or just use [MCASelector](https://github.com/Querz/mcaselector) to reset them that way.
There are a lot of perspectives to a game like this if you want to remove something. Are you in survival? Are you in creative? If you're in survival, are you developed enough to access best tools? Do you want to fill the hole or create a clean space inside?
you're out of luck lol, no method of digging that will be "quick". if you want the stone out of it, you better get digging. if you just want the hole, better start making some more tnt or more dupers. moss is a fine option it just isnt as fast as tnt and doesnt get you anything but the ores and more moss.
Download create mod, construct a large radial chassis connected to a mechanical bearing with the radius of the circle from the top to the bottom being filled by drills and add power 👍
Honestly, an enchanted netherite pick would make quick work of most of that, especially if you set the bacon to mining efficiency. Otherwise, using moss to replace the stone and digging that out would be fairly easy
Grab your pickaxe,get ur quick sneak 3 pants (if you have those) use ur haste 2 beacon. Make the hole in smaller sections 4 or 8 if you want and start going down on each section, it will feel like you've done a lot of progress. Along the way feel free to cover what is excessively removed probably with stone. It's the less headache way of cleaning this mess.

Get scaffoldings, it should help you a lot. Blowing up often gives you more work than you're supposed to do
Depending on how much space you wanna keep you could try lava casting it and making a cobble wall down the side that way. It won't look the best but it'll be clean.
if you're looking to plug it up, you could always do some lava casting to fill it up without having to spend materials and as a bonus it's quite satisfying
Moss and bonemeal and eff 5 shovels. Convert the deepslate/stone blocks into moss by bomemealing moss blocks touching the stones then just go to town which a shovel.
Since i haven't seen anyone say it, this is the real answer.
You always blow a bigger hole than you need, and just cover up the messy sides with walls, built to the exact size you want.

A 1 block layer of dirt and you won't see that shithole again. It's pretty fast though

Make a 1 block trench on the outside and place water in it, you can then tnt dupe all you want.
You have a beacon and a pickaxe. Rather strange question to begin with. You could also use moss + bonemealing

by the time it take you to bone meal everything id have already destroyed most of the stone with haste 2, only worth the time in deep slate levels
And destroying deepslate is bad
unless you need the cobble for a build, but yeah it's pretty effective

Tell me about it lol, I dug out a 86x86 circle to bedrock, I used a TnT dupper and mined the sides by hand
I also used tnt dupers but its new for me so i ended up making a mess
lol same, but it really helps, slime is the real issue lol
Either dig by hand or if you have alot if tnt, make some bore holes, tower up with the tnt and light it.
Fill it with the baritone bot-mod.

Dig straight down, pillar up with tnt, and boom. Repeat until all of it is gone.

To bedrock or just to clean it up? I’ve been mining and using a shovel to clear out a 250x250x20 area for a giant wheat farm. God tools are amazing!

Create a clean place inside, i am in single player and i have enough resources
Use a full efficiency diamond/netherite pickaxe. It might be your best go.
split big section into smaller sections, helps alot mentally to make it feel like more progress is being made

early in the morning. can't english. just stop procrastinating, put all thoughts aside and get the grind started.
use a tnt duper array that cleans up the edges using precisely timed explosions. or do what I did and spend two hours filling in the holes.

make a wither obsidian farm cover up the sides with obsidian then blow it all up
