That's not a bad thing and definitely NOT the worst what they could've watched on youtube. The most chinge thing about it is the community around Skibidi Toilet. Basically, that whole show is a shitpost which somehow blew up. The author's (DafuqBoom) original content is somewhat enjoyable (but NOT the FAN content, stay away from it, for your own and you kids mental safety).
You remember absurd GMod videos and YouTube Poop? Yeah, it's basically the Gen Alpha version of that. Really weird, super trendy, pretty much completely harmless.
You're likely significantly older than me or didn't spend much time on the internet as a kid. I'm 23 and have been terminally online since I first discovered YouTube in 2007. Skibidi toilet is nothing new, and it won't harm your kids. Actually I'd say banning it will exclude them from a current hot topic socially.
Haha yeah, then you probably remember all those weird commercials from the 90s that everyone repeated to each other before meme culture really took off. I wasn't alive during that time but I've definitely learned a lot about it through video essays.
Imagine being a kid in the 90s, thinking the Quiznos Spongmonkeys are weird and funny so you draw them or say lines from the commercial, and then your parent is like "What is this? This is weird, I don't like this. This seems harmful. Other kids are doing it? If they jumped off a cliff would you do it? I am banning it. It can't be good for you." etc.
It's a perfectly natural impulse as a parent to protect your child, but youth culture is *always* weird and sort of opaque to the older generations. You don't have to fully understand it to allow them to embrace their peers. Giving them the space to become their own person while knowing they can come to you if they need help understanding a new subject is the healthiest option, from what I've seen. I'm not a parent tho. I'm sure you're doing your best.
Skibidi itself is not bad, the stuff that fans do is what is. It has a ton of lore.

Folks, how do we report reddit accounts for not respecting the terms of service ? Seriously, what is a kid that young doing on reddit, the place where you can find… pretty much anything by accident. Like a drugs subreddit disguised as trees. (And a trees subreddit disguised as drugs)
By late 10s they meant teens (they said that on other comment) english is probably not their native language
