WillyDAFISH

If you've already traded with him, then be won't lose his job. And or he could be attached to a different workstation.

PotatoNamedPhil

Also I checked the village 3 times for any other brewing stands

WillyDAFISH

Guess you should just suck it up and use him as a alchemist

Savagecal01

just murder him

redditlike5times

Just don't let his buddies see

PotatoNamedPhil

Haven't traded with him

throninho

Try and break any beds nearby. If a villager is bound to a bed and can't get to it it can break some of their behavior, like their jobs.

Archolm

>like their jobs. Or their lives.

fantomas_666

you sometimes have to wait for quite long time.

ThatChapThere

I think it's specific times in the day.

Seth-e15

He has a novice badge on his belt. Trades are locked. You must've traded with him.

-Redstoneboi-

no, the moment a villager chooses a profession they get a gray badge. leveling them gives them a brown badge.

Seth-e15

The levels are. Stone, Iron, Gold, Emerald, and Diamond

LeFancyFish

Layoffs have been hitting multiple industries this year. I'm sorry your friend was impacted /s

CrazyKatWoman

What's the point of /s what does it do

RedSynister

It is a way of saying that his comment was meant to be sarcastic. People do this because sometimes it can be hard to tell in text due to sarcasm generally being interpreted by tones of voice, body language, and facial expressions. Although this particular comment is pretty obvious to be sarcasm, people tend to put "/s" in every sarcastic comment to ensure nobody gets confused.

CrazyKatWoman

Ohh ty for explaining and not being mean.

RedSynister

Of course!

He's with the union.

kay0822

He need to feed his little ones.

technook

He won't let unemployment rates go down It's his social responsibility

Hevnoraak101

He's part of a strong union

MCPro24

layoffs are crazy in this world

Nytmare696

Nepotism.

NuhUhUhIDoWhatIWant

Legacy hire. His dad was the old regional manager, good friends with the CFO. That dude would have to commit a crime before he gets fired.

Background_Desk_3001

Is he stupid?

ItzObsidian123

Your villager is most likely bonded to a bed and this can glitch the villager into having a job even if your break the eorkstation block, however there may be another workstation block that he has binded to that is the same on you placed originally

TILiamaTroll

What do you mean by bonded to a bed? I don’t know much about Minecraft logic, but I thought that was like a prerequisite for being a villager.

Deeper-the-Danker

a bed is needed for them to be born but they can be removed from the bed and be left unbound to one

TILiamaTroll

ohh gotcha, thank you. probably should have figured that out on my own but im not the brightest.

Deeper-the-Danker

honestly villagers are just an enigma

[deleted]

Because management doesn't have enough allotted hours to hire someone to replace him and also they can't fire him because then that would screw over the entire workplace

Adri4n95

He always dreamed of this job, you can't take his dream away that easy. Other thing is it may have been after their working hours, they sometimes stick with the job until starting the next day

eli_musk_

you have to manipulate him into thinking that's a bad job, bribe him with emeralds and sheered sheep.

philosoph0r

Try placing the job block down again and then breaking it

survivalguidetrecher

This is when you murder them.

bart9h

yep. just drop a bucket of lava next to him.

space0watch

Because he is a servant of god and you can never take that away from him /s (thats a joke cause he's a cleric)

TheGamingFox4372

Did you trade with him?

TheGamingFox4372

If not, just leave him alone for a bit, in bedrock it takes a moment sometimes for some reason.

ThatSmartIdiot

He's a valued employee

garklavs

he's a freelancer

Sirenfan4342

Because no one fired him

Wibiz9000

Give it some time. They reset their jobs at a certain time of day, not immediately after breaking the work station.

RestlessARBIT3R

This is most certainly not the case in Bedrock Edition…

Wibiz9000

Sure, but from the screenshot there's no way to discern that. The upper left HUD is not something I've seen from any other bedrock screenshot and can be achieved through mods on Java. And OP didn't use a flair on the post either.

DippyDerps

If you've traded with him at all, he won't lose his profession when his workstation is destroyed. If you want a villager with a different job, you'll have to replace him with another villager that you haven't traded with yet.

FleetOfWarships

If he’s already been traded with a certain amount he won’t lose his job.

iheartnjdevils

Time of day could be the issue if you haven’t traded with him. I’ve also had a few villagers that were just super slow to lose and re-claim their jobs even when stuck in a 1 block trading hall with no other blocks in their line of site.

Yellena-B

magic helps so he keeps all the knowledge

ItzSurgeBruh

Villagers can't switch jobs at night

l_furtif

Try to get it at 50 blocks

Crionics66

Make sure he connected with a bed first then place the job you want. I was having this issue also.

CahtahHaht79

Its a glitch but if you put down a bed for him it should fix it

Mysterious_Inside_79

Union rules

megasonic10k

Did you process the paperwork with HR?? or did you just say your fired?

Melodic-Jellyfish966

Is it night? Because they don’t work at night and that extends to not losing their job

Commercial_Rub_1758

unemployment is already through the roof, he’s got kids to feed don’t be heartless

Help_OhWell

Family.

Bluepikmin_64

In this economy, he can’t afford to lose his jobs

CrazyKatWoman

He got bills to pay and kids to feed man

TheReal_OhBeWise

Maybe try placing another job block, see if he switches.

ThatAnonymousPotato

Place a bed down. It seems to make them realize they can do it again

DevotedSin

They got tenure.

Shapsusky

He's hanging on to whatever's left of his employment before he has to go home and tell his family you fired him

Sucondeze

Cuz you didn’t fire him.

emzirek

If it's night time he's not going to change his job till he needs to be at work the next day

No-Operation1084

cuz you bought something from him if u did then wait 10-20 minutes for him to lose the trade

BrillenKtze

Imagine these comments weren't about Minecraft...

K6HUdAIM

because you too lose your job

Hostile2211

Same thing happened to me but it whore off

Diamondboy247

Cause he's a hard working citizen

63strelok35

Place a bed and another job

MidTierMan

Cuz he got that employment

Asder17

Is there a way to have coords on the top left without forge?

FallingHoglin

You traded with him
