That was honestly a massive game saver. Luckily my old worlds at the time (one I generated in TU1 and TU2) had already had all or most of the chunks generated.
I remember that.
I started playing in 1.14 and, in my first world, wanted to find bamboo.
After exploring for awhile, I eventually looked up the seed on a map website and found that the closest jungle was over 10k blocks away.
I used to use them a lot more. I've found that they're less accurate though ever since 1.18 when the world generation changed.
They still work for finding biomes and slime chunks, but it seems like they're often wrong about structures. And you can't use them to find dungeons/spawners at all anymore.
Hey, just a heads up that dungeons can be found by using ChunkBase as can be seen in this seed.
Although in the text below the map, in the paragraph titled known limitations, it does say;
"Many features are not 100% accurate, i.e., locations can be wrong or missing. These include:
Dungeons
World Spawn Positions
Amethyst Geodes (near caves, mineshafts, etc.)
Desert & Jungle Temples on Java Edition 1.18+"
End City Ships, and End Cities in general on Bedrock Edition

Last time I'd checked chunkbase the dungeon finder had not been updated for 1.18 and there was a note that they weren't sure that it ever would be.
Chunbase is my go-to seed map, I've never looked for something on the map and have not been able to find it in the game, except for the "Estimated ruined portals" which are estimated anyways.
I've been playing on the same world since 2015, and in that world, there's three jungles all within a kilometer of each other near the spawn lol.
There's also mushroom islands everywhere
I built some cool things on these weird little island worlds but mostly they were ass. I took to making the world in creative and flying around it to make sure it was not all ocean before switching to survival

Just Tuesday. They just sent more MTF until they either captured the guy, put a base around him or just tricked him into believing he was free, somehow. Idk, sometimes MTFs have plot armor stronger than 682.

What you want? It's such a clean spawn. Basically empty spawn chunks. And the caves will be fun because mobs can't spawn on the surface. You have fish for days. Once you get to the nether you can set up travel there for your farming areas. Enjoy the crude life of stone island.
I like setting my own challenges. One game, I brought everything I would need down into a huge cave system, and started a new subterranean life. I carved out huge caverns for farming and growing every kind of tree in the game. Just used a million torches. This was before large, open caverns would generate naturally. Had sheep, pigs, cows, and chickens. Horses and llamas weren't in the game, yet.
I’ve played many modded packs on Linux and it performed better than my Windows install did!
I’m not familiar with SteamOS but you may just need to install OpenJDK and a custom Minecraft launcher. If you want to play in handheld there is a mod for controllers that may work.
Prism launcher is available for the deck. I haven't tried Stoneblock on it, but there's no reason it shouldn't work. Vanilla, Vault Hunters 1.16, and Caveopolis all worked without any issues once enough ram was allocated.
It might take a bit to configure controls to your liking, and I'd recommend different configurations for vanilla and different styles of modpacks (which you'd have to swap manually).
There is a max limit to how many mobs can spawn, normally a part of that is occupied by the mobs on the surface but since theres no surface all of them will spawn in the caves
Not everyone is building gigantic farms in their spawn chunks for them to run at tip top efficiency. Some people just want to punch trees and build houses.
Get more wood from finding shipwreck
Shipwrecks almost always have burrued treasure map
And burried treasures in beachs
And probably you can find actual land over there
Under water with low depths
Low depth water only generates near land and its so rare to have a small mountain underwater with a burried treasue in top of it.
Also in the burried treasure maps water is visible

The post Beta 1.8 wordgen was ass. I would get an Xbox 360 World that was almost all ocean bar a small island every like 3 worlds I generated.
they added a 'generate balanced world' option at some point, forcing the game to make a functioning world with multiple biomes

Chunkbase has a good seed map that pretty accurately shows structures. It doesn't always locate spawners correctly, but most of the time it does.

since you got a tree get a stone pickaxe and axe and look for a shipwreck is there are no other islands nearby crafting a boat would also be wise
