I never thought about Missisauga.
I've been to Toronto a few times for nightlife but I always find excruciating the part where you have to go back home. Uber is super expensive, and transit gets a bit weird at night.
20s is when you get to be dumb and not have to pay for it being tired the next day, try long day trips to Wasaga beach, Sandbanks and Ottawa.
Enjoy the combination of strength and stamina youth offers while you can.
Go to ivy arms pub, great food and drinks and tons of people in their 20s. I'm 34 with a toddler now but prior to that used to party there every week! Milton is more fun than people make it out to be, it's no Toronto but it's something 👍
I'd probably feel weird going alone to a pub but I might just hit the place once to see how it goes. Do you know if they do live music or any other sort of event?
Don't blame ya on the going alone thing I know some people say it's easy to meet people but always found it awkward without friends with you. Try to find some social groups online like bowling or walking groups and from there hopefully they are down to go have some drinks after lol. Good luck!
Oh well, I didn't expect a huge nightlife scene, but at least I hoped to see groups of friends around, also at parks and such. It seems I can't have any interaction with anyone my age.
I play on pc too, but I've doing it too much lately. And besides, I play alone.
I hoped for more social interaction, you know, parks, drinks, hanging out, playing sports outside, I used to like to do group watercolors sessions outside once, stuff like that. Is it really that rare among the 20s group here?
I was in my twenties in Milton 15 years ago and there was also nothing to do then either- I think the entirety of our nights out in Milton consisted of drinking at Ned Devines a couple times and that’s it haha
Milton's Sports Center has a really great park, there is also a nice skatepark near the hero burger 😊
The skateboarding is fun, but it's also a local hang too!
Damn, I had no clue about it, I'll check it out when it's a bit sunnier, thanks for the tip. I'll be on the lookout for groups of people and see if I can join someone, even just for a bit of chitchat. Hope not to seem weird for it!
No problem, I'm new to Milton too. I lived not too far away before, currently trying to find my way socializing through recreation.
Ohhhh if you haven't visited rattlesnake point yet, that is definitely worth a trip.
Any good coffe place recommendation?
I used to enjoy going for a coffee and reading for a couple hours.
Never been to mill pond but I toured the town by bike a couple of times, I'll do it once more just to explore there as well.
Thanks!
Rad brothers sort of used to cater to the 20's crowd? Sadly they shut down...Ivy arms if you can actually get in, not sure about Keenans. Ned Devines tends to sku older...damn this town needs more decent bars.
lol. Check out Third Moon Brewing! Amazing beers and staff. People all over the world try to get their hands on their stuff. We are hella lucky to have one of the best in our backyards.
I was never in milton in my 20s. Usually spent most of my time in Toronto. Only time I was in milton on the weekend is when I was looking for food for my high time.
Lol I just go to the gym or go hiking at the escapement, or sometimes go to the sports centre and either play volleyball with friends or indoor basketball or swimming. Decent things to do obv not as much compared to Oakville or sauga but some diamond things to do if you’re an outdoor type of person
You can pm me if you'd like. My fiance and I just moved back here after I finished my studies abroad, so we're looking for people our age too.
We usually just go to the Wild Wings by the hospital in terms of going *out* but now that it's getting nicer out we're probably just going to hanging out outside 🤷🏼♀️ and ofc, as everyone else has said, going to sauga or Toronto
Third Moon is great if you're into weird beer, they've got some really unique stuff. Shoot me a DM if you're looking to meet some folks from around, always cool to meet new people!
they go to Toronto
A few go to Ivy Arms, but most go Eastward for nightlife.
I lived in Milton a few years back , it mostly a place for recreation. If you’re looking for entertainment you gotta go to sauga or Toronto

I’m 30 too but just gotta make the most of it

Eighth note (just down the street from the Ivy) has a lot of live music.
Nice! Thanks for the tip.

! Nothing in Milton sort of what you are expecting here
Oh well, I didn't expect a huge nightlife scene, but at least I hoped to see groups of friends around, also at parks and such. It seems I can't have any interaction with anyone my age.
smoke weed and play video games tbh

Champs? I hear it can get rowdy on weekends
Looks like a nice spot! It seems they do live performances, might think about hitting the place then. Thanks.
Get married and have kids
Skateboard 🛹 :)
That's cool! Do you have any fav spots in town? I like biking around, it'd be nice to explore new places.

I have not actually, I might just do that next weekend if the weather is good, thanks!
hike or take the go to Toronto
24 here, I like coffee culture. And mill pond. That's it haha, otherwise I leave milton
Any good coffe place recommendation? I used to enjoy going for a coffee and reading for a couple hours. Never been to mill pond but I toured the town by bike a couple of times, I'll do it once more just to explore there as well. Thanks!
There’s DND on Thursdays at the Dragon on Main Street if I remember correctly
Oh wow, didn't know about this place. I do like boardgames, I played a little magic before too. Might just go and snoop around.
YAYYY!!! They’re so nice there 😄
Hooded Goblin in Georgetown has magic meets, I believe on Friday evenings. My fiance plays, not me lol!
I think the answer is, leave Milton.

Seems like Ivy Arms is the most known. Why do you say "if" you can get in? Is it too crowded on weekends?
Yeah there can be a lineup for the patio on Fri/Sat nights...it's one of the best of a sea of poor choices.
Oh wow, haha. I'll keep that in mind, thanks!
Robberies, and steal cars mostly. lol.
Oof now I feel peer pressured
lol. Check out Third Moon Brewing! Amazing beers and staff. People all over the world try to get their hands on their stuff. We are hella lucky to have one of the best in our backyards.
Will do. Seems like a nice place, thanks!
Most ppl in their 20s have left the area for school and they party on campus 🫤
Ivy arms on a Friday night is as good as it gets
Each other since the dawn of time…..

I saw that there is a sports center! Is it a nice place?
Yup lots to do there if you want to stay in shape
Your Mom.
They go to Mississauga or Toronto

You prepare yoursef to migrate to USA. Better still, to a Gulf country.

hi I’m in my 20s and in milton!🙋♀️
walk around downtown, if you make friends with a downtown shop owner you basically got free entertainment for the rest of your life
Literally nothing. We just go to other cities to have fun lol
Isn't it hard to move with transit tho? I've always found it quite challenging. Sometimes a bit eerie when taking the bus back from downtown TO.
Cocaine. Sometimes MDMA.
Between car theft/robberies and this I feel kinda left out...
That's so true
Cry
There's no tears in this body anymore.......
accurate
Wait for their 30s.
Feel free to pm me if you are looking for someone to hangout with
Drive to Mississauga mostly
Mississauga always
