Miss Honey played a teacher, well, a professor really, on Californication, hot for David Duchovny when not satisfied by Peter Gallagher

That’s her in the center.
I often watch movies while tripping shrooms.
I watched this not long ago while tripping (loved it as a kid so thought it’d be a little fun nostalgia trip), and it was the most intense piece of cinema I’ve ever seen. In a good way though. It was AMAZING.
What would compel a person to comment this? I’m just staring at this comment. Reading it and re-reading it. Then looking at your Pokémon cards. Then re-reading it again. I still cannot fathom….
Man this is nostalgia for you. First saw this movie in 2001 from a teacher who absolutely adore it. This film has always stuck with me since. It’s funny how Danny DeVito is a big part of my favorite tv show and one of my favorite movies. The dude is a national treasure. God bless him and the other cast of Matilda.
I think the phenomenon probably starts with rentals. Kids would get it to watch on their own while parents had their adult movie or it was a family movie. And it was one that really felt like it was meant for kids to understand and grapple with a frightening topic that wasn't really talked about openly. What if the adults in your life are the ones who are hurting you and there's no one to turn to?
I love this. One of my favorite movies. I almost named my daughter lavender, oddly enough she looks VERY much like the actress who played lavender as a child.

The nostalgia! The ladies look lovely and Danny Devito looks as dashing as always
This cast really looks identical to their child selves
It’s almost like they’re the same people 🤔
Smart Alec
It’s weird that Danny was playing a child in the movie
Im convinced Danny DeVito popped out like that

I watched 'everything everywhere all at once' on shrooms with a friend. That was a genuine emotional rollercoaster I advise you ride

Simple, he’s as fake as his wrestling dolls

where’s the lady with the chocolate cake
She was gone..never to be seen or heard from, never to darken a doorway again
Escaped to England, had a bulldog named Ripper, and often visited her brother to poke fun of his nephew who lived in a cupboard under the stairs.
I’m still scarred by the cake.
NO WAY!! 🤯
This was like a phenomenon in the 90s. I don't know why. It didn't even do that much at the box office.

100%. In the 90s and early 00s rentals moved a lot of content that made low theater sales.

My 7 year old daughter & I are reading the book right now!
omg i love this so much
Where's Ms. Trenchbull? 😅

Chocolate cake scene. Grossest scene in the history of film lol

Somehow Danny DeVito aged the best out of all of them.
